2026 Chatham Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in July)

The highlight of Cape Cod every July is the hydrangea festival P1-5 Heritage Museums & Gardens admission is $26 (many foreigners enter the garden without buying tickets as no one checks at the entrance). Usually, if you follow the signs, you will find free parking. Basically, it’s like touring someone’s backyard for about 10 minutes During the hydrangea festival, different families open their backyards to visitors every day. This time, we visited 4 homes and all were nice. It’s recommended to visit homes of hydrangea association members P14-18 Chatham town has a small free parking lot at Fish Pier. There are also several free parking lots in town but they require a walk. The closest parking lot to Main St charges $15 per day and offers a shuttle to the pier or inn. Besides seeing hydrangeas, you can also visit the beach to see seals. The northern beach here is home to seals year-round
