Conghua District travel guide and discussion

I went to Guangzhou for the vibes—killer skyline, crazy good dim sum, some shopping. Typical checklist feels, right? But honestly, I left absolutely obsessed with Conghua, a spot I'd legit never heard of before. It all happened because someone I met at a tea spot casually dropped, “If you’ve got two days, ditch the city and hit Conghua.” I almost ignored it…but trust me, it’s the best travel plot twist I’ve ever had. Just 1 hour up the road, the city’s chaos fades and suddenly you're surrounded by misty mountains, super fresh air, and that smell-of-trees vibe. That first night, sinking into the hot springs, it was like my usual rushed travel mode hit pause 😮💨. Here’s how Conghua totally levelled up my China trip ⬇️ Day 1|From Forest Feels to Hot Spring Bliss Morning · Shimen National Forest Park · Opening hours: 8:00–17:30 daily Walking into Shimen felt unreal—plush green everywhere, wild shade vibes. Locals call it “the oasis on the Tropic of Cancer” and, y’all, it’s so accurate. If you go in autumn, expect red maple magic; spring brings bloom explosions with azaleas everywhere. Hiking up to Tiantangding (the tallest peak in Guangzhou!) was a cardio moment, but the view is worth every step. This spot? 💚 Nature flex. Pro tip: Wear actual shoes, bring water, and expect sketchy phone signal. Kinda love how disconnected it feels! Afternoon · Hot Spring Town (Wenquan) · Address: Wenquan Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou Checked in and instantly living my hot spring fantasy—splurged on a villa with a private pool (no regrets!). Coconut water, red wine, ginger soak options… endless pools to drift through. I lounged hard, and like magic, someone kept bringing hot tea. If you’ve never tried a Chinese hot spring resort, this is your moment 😍. Evening · Hot Spring Market · Location: Next to Hot Spring Town, open pretty late! Night market time! The air was cool, I was warm and relaxed, and the snacks were wild. I pointed at random stuff and found new food obsessions. The best kind of “wait, what did I order?” adventure. Day 2|Golden River + Epic Lunch Morning · Liuxi River National Forest Park · Opening hours: 8:00–17:30 daily Go early for the views—seriously, sunrise on the reservoir is peak “cinematic wallpaper” vibes. You can do a boat ride or hike the Sanyatang Valley Trail. For photographers, this is your golden hour for drama. Midday · Xitou Village Lunch · Address: Xitou Village, Liangkou Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou This tiny village is a whole mood—super cute, flower blooms in spring, fruit picking in summer. I dropped into a family-run farmhouse for lunch and honestly just pointed at stuff. Free-range chicken, homegrown tofu and greens. It was suuuper simple but was legit the best meal I had in China. After wandering the little lanes, I rolled back to Guangzhou full and happy. Guangzhou Itinerary Cheat Sheet🧳 How many days? · Only want to soak & chill? 1 night = perfect. · Want forests + springs? Do 2D1N, like my trip. · Want extra stops (Rose World, Xitang Fairy Tale Town)? Stretch to 3D2N. Where to stay? · Hot Spring Town (Wenquan) is easiest for soaking and has the best hotels. · High-end: Villa w/ private hot spring—worth it for unplugging totally! · Mid-range: Bishuiwan or Conghua Hot Spring Hotel (solid value for amenities) · Hardcore hikers: Stay at Liangkou Town to be closer to the river and Xitou If you’re in Guangzhou with even a couple days to spare—do NOT just stick to the city. Hit up Conghua. It turned out to be the part of my trip I literally can’t stop talking about 🤍. #Conghua #Guangzhou #ChinaTravel #HiddenGem #HotSpringEscape #SlowTravel #OffTheBeatenPath #WeekendTrip #travelchina

Moms! It's newly opened! Guangzhou Baietan MixC is now open 👏 You can get there right from Fangcun Station. If you want to see a quieter side of Guangzhou, I’d recommend spending a day in Xitou Village (溪头村) in Conghua. I walked about 10 km through the area, but it never felt like a difficult hike. Much of the route passes through bamboo forests, small mountain roads and peaceful countryside, making it more of a relaxed rural walk than a challenging trek. What I enjoyed most was seeing a side of Guangzhou that feels very different from the city center. Along the way, I passed traditional village houses, vegetable gardens, farmland and small local homes. Everyday life here still feels closely connected to the surrounding mountains and countryside. 🎋 My tips: · Allow around 3–5 hours for a relaxed 10 km walk. · Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. · Start earlier if you want cooler temperatures and fewer visitors. · Take your time—this route is more about the journey and rural atmosphere than rushing to a landmark. For me, Xitou was a reminder that Guangzhou is not only a modern metropolis—it also has a peaceful rural side worth exploring. 📍 Conghua, Guangzhou, China #XitouVillage #GuangzhouTravel #ChinaTravel #VisitChina #RuralChina #ChinaVillage #BambooForest #HikingChina #ExploreChina #TravelChina

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city! This is how you should spend your holiday~🏡 The mountain cottages in Conghua are absolutely amazing! Open the courtyard door and hear the babbling brook🌊 Sit on the rattan chair by the river Watch the distant mountains like ink wash paintings and the stream flowing like silk This must be the life you long for💚 ✨Hidden Highlights: ▫️Exclusive private mountain cottage ▫️A babbling stream right at the doorstep ▫️Watch fireflies dance at dusk ▫️Wake up to the sound of birdsong in the morning ▫️Every moment here heals your fatigue 📝Tips: ▫️Remember to bring mosquito repellent ▫️Bring a picnic mat to enjoy a picnic by the stream ▫️Temperature varies greatly between morning and evening, so bring a jacket ▫️For photos, light-colored outfits are recommended ▫️If you love photography, sunset light is the gentlest Take advantage of the holiday to stay in the cottage for a couple of days Let the mountains and nature heal your 9-to-6 fatigue~

Accustomed to long hours of sedentary desk work and executing tasks independently, we are used to being "lone wolves." While our individual professional skills are solid, we easily overlook the details and chemistry of teamwork, making our communication inevitably stiff and reserved. To refine our collaborative skills and unwind, we ventured into the culturally rich Liuxihe National Forest Park in Conghua, Guangzhou, building team synergy and finding inner peace within the millennium-old hidden gem of Lingnan's natural landscapes. As a core sanctuary along the Liuxi River, Guangzhou's mother river, the area boasts a cultural history spanning over a thousand years. The park is dotted with the Neolithic Shixiang and pre-Qin Hengling ruins, making it a crucial habitat where ancient humans of Lingnan once lived and thrived. The Ming Dynasty Guangyu Shrine still retains its ancient charm. By the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China era, it had already become a favored scenic spot for literati and poets to explore and compose verses. In modern times, it has evolved into a renowned ecological park graced by numerous prominent figures who left their footprints behind. Recognized as one of the country's first top ten national forest parks, it is celebrated as the "Green Pearl of the Tropic of Cancer." The park features thousands of acres of lush, towering bamboo groves and richly layered primeval forests, with 34 species of national key protected plants scattered throughout the woods. The crystal-clear Liuxi River meanders through the entire park, featuring glistening creek stones and babbling streams. The wooden boardwalks built along the mountainside are winding and tranquil, and the air is brimming with negative oxygen ions—a perfect fusion of ecology and humanities. We kicked off our forest exploration in small groups, dividing tasks autonomously and cooperating flexibly. Observant members identified trails and planned routes; the energetic ones led the way and cleared obstacles; while detail-oriented colleagues captured our team's unforgettable moments. When encountering slippery stone steps or minor stream obstacles along the way, everyone lent a helping hand and waited for each other, ensuring no one was left behind. When facing route disagreements, the team collaborated to discuss and quickly reached a consensus, demonstrating an increasingly seamless synergy. Along the journey, we paused to admire the natural scenery, lightly explored the millennium-old cultural lore, and walked together with laughter and mutual support. This trip made me profoundly realize that the power of an individual has its limits, and only through unified teamwork can we journey steadily and far. In the name of team building, we honed our synergy and forged a strong cohesive force; with a fighting spirit, we will stride forward united to overcome challenges. A group of people, one path, growing together. I am deeply grateful for every instance of tolerance and cooperation. In the future, we will unite our hearts and strength, build our dreams side by side, and embark on a brilliant journey across the mountains and seas together.

Friends in Shenzhen, stop worrying about where to go this weekend! Right in Conghua, Guangzhou, lies the largest cherry blossom kingdom in Guangdong, now in full bloom! This itinerary packs a light hike through a bamboo sea, authentic mountain-style bamboo tube rice, and a breathtaking sea of tens of thousands of cherry blossoms all in one day round trip—no need to drive yourself. This is what spring should feel like! 🌸 ✨ Why is this itinerary the ultimate spring experience? 1. Compound experience, never boring: In one day, enjoy the triple joy of “hiking and breathing fresh air + delicious food comfort + flower viewing and photography,” fulfilling yet not tiring. 2. Bloom season limited, miss it and wait a year: Thousands of acres and dozens of cherry blossom varieties are blooming at Tianshi Cherry Blossom Amusement Park, creating a true “pink ocean” with a stunning visual impact. 🚌 One-day essential itinerary (easy to follow) · 07:30-08:30 Depart by car. · 10:30 Arrive in Conghua and start the 【Xingxi Line light hike】 (about 5 km). Walk through tens of thousands of acres of bamboo forest, with babbling streams along the way. The difficulty is very low, perfect for walking and taking photos, an immersive “lung cleanse.” · 12:30 Enjoy authentic 【bamboo tube rice】 and mountain farmhouse dishes at a rural farmhouse along the hike. The rice carries a bamboo fragrance, and the chicken is tender—a taste you can’t find in the city! · 14:30 Head to cherry blossom viewing. · 15:30 Arrive at 【Tianshi Cherry Blossom Amusement Park】. Hundreds of acres of cherry blossoms make a stunning appearance! Varieties like Diaochan, Xiao Qiao, and China Red bloom in succession. Walking into the park feels like falling into pink clouds, and when the wind blows, it’s a romantic cherry blossom rain. · 18:00 Return with your phone full of beautiful photos and wonderful memories. · Around 20:30 Arrive back in Shenzhen city, ending a perfect day. 📸 Three core highlights for deep enjoyment 1. Xingxi Line Bamboo Forest Hike (Beginner-friendly) · Features: Known as one of “Guangzhou’s most beautiful hiking routes,” the entire route is gentle, combining stone slabs and dirt paths, accompanied by streams and bamboo forests, with no pressure. · Outfit: Breathable sportswear and must-wear non-slip comfortable sports shoes. · Photography: Great shots by bamboo forest light and shadow, rustic small bridges, and clear streams. 2. Tianshi Cherry Blossom Amusement Park (Spring’s star) · Scale: Over 1,000 acres with tens of thousands of cherry trees, one of Guangdong’s largest cherry blossom viewing spots. · Bloom season: Late February to early April each year, with different varieties blooming in sequence. Now is the best viewing period. · Activities: ◦ Must-shoot scenes: Walking under cherry blossom tunnels, climbing observation decks overlooking the sea of flowers, sitting on picnic mats on the lawn with flowers as the backdrop. ◦ Atmosphere boost: Bring a picnic mat to rest under the cherry trees and experience the romance of being surrounded by petals. 3. Authentic Bamboo Tube Rice (Taste climax) • Experience: At a farmhouse midway through the hike, rice baked in fresh bamboo tubes mixed with sausage, mushrooms, and other ingredients emits a unique fragrance— the best reward after exertion. 📋 Essential pre-trip tips 1. Dress guide: Use “onion-style layering,” with moisture-wicking inner layers and windproof outer layers. Be sure to wear old but comfortable sports shoes. Bring a spare T-shirt to change after hiking. 2. Must-have items: ◦ Electronics: Power bank (photos drain battery fast), camera. ◦ Protection: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses (strong UV in spring). ◦ Others: Small amount of cash (some farmhouses may have poor signal), personal trash bag, personal medicine, and a happy mood. 3. Optional to bring: Picnic mat, some snacks, photo props (like straw hats, books, etc.). 💡 FAQ · Q: I have poor stamina, can I finish the hike? · A: The Xingxi Line is a classic beginner route, 5 km of gentle paths. Walking with breaks for photos, most people can easily complete it. · Q: Besides cherry blossoms, what else is there to see? · A: The park usually also has a dinosaur playground, a small train, and other facilities suitable for families with children. But the star of spring is definitely the cherry blossoms. The bloom season is fleeting. The most beautiful spring and the nearest “pink ocean” are just 1.5 hours away. Quickly gather your friends, save this guide, and head to this springtime exclusive romance together!

The bustling spectacles built on fleeting hype are nothing but temporary illusions. They rise and fall with the latest trends, vanishing in the blink of an eye without leaving a trace of genuine warmth or emotion. Only the simple, unpretentious joys found in everyday local life remain steadfast against external fluctuations. Quietly settling in the depths of time, they offer a gentle, lingering comfort that never fades. In my past travels, I was obsessed with the glamour of tourist hotspots and the energy of crowds. I thought the louder the scene, the more unforgettable the experience. So, I rushed from place to place, tirelessly checking off landmarks, determined to chase the excitement validated by the masses. In the end, I was left with nothing but exhaustion and an empty heart—a lingering sense of disappointment once the glitz faded. Now, my mind is at peace. I’ve completely abandoned "fast-food" sightseeing and distanced myself from crowded, commercialized traps. Instead, I wander alone through deep, quiet alleys, drawing my eyes away from the superficial noise to focus on the subtle, tender beauty all around me. Waking up away from the chaos, I sit at a humble street stall for a bite of warm, home-style food. The authentic, comforting flavors soothe my body and soul, setting a relaxed and peaceful tone for the day. In the afternoon, I escape the heat and hubbub to find a quiet corner. I sit still, listening to the breeze, watching the shadows, sipping tea, and clearing my mind. I let time drift by slowly, unhurried and completely carefree. As dusk falls, the soft glow of streetlights gently illuminates the alleys, and the smoke from local kitchens begins to rise. The ordinary rhythms of daily life—people coming and going, settling into their routines—are the most authentic landscapes of humanity. I've slowly come to realize that life doesn't need to be defined by brief, dramatic peaks; enduring happiness lies hidden in simplicity and tranquility. The madness of the crowd will eventually die down, but the simple joys held deep in your heart will stand the test of time, keeping you company day and night. As the ancient proverb goes: "Fleeting clamor scatters with the tide, while a half-cup of quiet joy companions you through the years." By letting go of superficial hype and quietly embracing the serenity of everyday life, an ordinary journey becomes the most beautiful scenery in the world.

#springsummer2024 One of the highlights of summer is watching the lotus flowers. The whole field of lotus flowers in full bloom is so beautiful. There is no need to go far away, there is a refreshing lotus garden in Conghua, about two hours away from Shenzhen🪷 The weather was very good over the weekend, and God was very kind. All the photos we took turned out great. However, if you want to see the lotus flowers in full bloom, you may have to wait until the end of July. If you want to eat lotus roots and lotus seeds, you will have to wait a while. But it's better to choose a good time, you can come and take a walk when you have time, it's highly recommended❤️ 🎯 Dongcheng Lotus Garden No. 347, Congzhang 1st Road, Conghua District, Guangzhou #LotusBlossom #SummerTravelOfficial #WhereToGoInSummer #SummerLimited #GoodPlacesToViewFlowers #OutdoorActivities

Maybe it's because it's almost the end of the year and work is really busy. I really want to escape to the mountains and forests to be isolated from the world and have a good rest. After complaining to my sister, he actually booked the Glass House B&B in Conghua, Guangzhou. He thought I would like it and wanted to bring me here to relax. Straight men can also be warm sometimes, haha~ The B&B consists of an extra-large wild luxury villa and three independent glass houses, with a very literary and fresh style. What is it like to live in a glass house? It was a pity that I didn't book the glass house this time, but when I arrived at the villa, I was pleasantly surprised. The room I stayed in was super big! The balcony was super spacious!! The scenery was also very pleasing to the eye. The three walls of the room are large floor-to-ceiling glass windows. My boyfriend even said he wanted to take a shower facing the mountains (too poisonous), but after he teased me like this, I felt really good, haha. Some rooms also have massage chairs that cost NT$30,000 to NT$40,000 each! It turns out that the owner of the B&B planned to build it for himself and his friends to live in, so he was willing to spend all the supplies haha. The massage chair is really super comfortable~ The B&B is also a huge "zoo"! I saw about 7 or 8 kittens, they were so well behaved and they even approached me actively. There are also many fish tanks, with many small goldfish in them. I just don’t know if the kittens will steal some of them, haha. Practical tips: 1. The B&B is really cozy. It's a good place to bring your kids or your own "little fur kids" here on weekends. 2. There is a KTV room on the first floor of the B&B. You can use it as soon as you check in. You can also have a barbecue in the evening. Bring your friends over to play next time~ B&B:Conghua Glass House Address: Near Phoenix Reservoir, Conghua, Guangzhou

So me and my girlfriends decided to go out today to try out kayaking in Conghua district, Guangzhou. This area is the other side of the busy Guangzhou. This is all nature. Green facade. Lush mountains. And inviting water to try out the water activities on the venue. This is a good way to spend your Sunday. The four of us truly enjoyed todays activities. We had a two hours car ride from Shenzhen to Conghua in Guangzhou city. #grouptravel

Address - Conghua district, Guangzhou. Avg. Price per Person - 60+ RMB They can also organize birthday parties 🥳 Food menu is not rich. Just some chicken wings, fries, pasta, pizza, stack, cakes and drinks (non alcoholic). Seems like that’s already a lot, but just one or two from each. 🤣 There are also other great and bigger restaurants around Amore Mia. So don’t worry, you will find something to enjoy if you are foodie. 🍝 📸 @_ana_me_ on Instagram #foodie #guangzhou #guandong #conghua #travelinspiration #chinalife

The varieties grown in Kumquat Planet are all rose citrus. The tangerines in this variety are particularly fresh! It's the best tangerine I've ever eaten a bite into really burst juice very full juicy😋 Here the entrance ticket is $ 30 Another $ 20 deposit to rent a basket and basket 🔧 inside is all you can eat if you want to buy home to $ 15 a catty 🙁 is actually quite expensive a catty only a few so it is recommended to eat inside And it's farther from downtown Guangzhou, it takes an hour to come over. I'm a friend driving so I came👻 ✨It has many photo spots! For example, the rainbow road at the entrance contains some hipster camping tents with neon lights #Canton 📍No. 888, Lulongzhu Street, Lutian Village, Haotou Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou

Not far from the Millennium Falls, it is also located in Xitou Village of Conghua Liangkou Town. It has the reputation of "the most beautiful village in Guangdong Province", "Changshou Village" and "Beauty Village". It is a famous place for every holiday. Many tourists come to visit, eat a bowl of landscape tofu, pick the seasonal fruits, go to the stream to fight the water, let the body and mind return to the most simple country. Xitou Village is surrounded by mountains, rich in vegetation, and looks far away, just like the hideaway hidden in the oasis. From the inn to the Xitou Village, the scenery along the way is constantly, and more and more tourists are encountered. I am used to the quietness of the Qianggou, and I should feel the excitement of the village. 1. self-driving route Guangzhou: Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway (G4) (or Guangzhou Airport Expressway S41)-Daguang Expressway (G45)-105 National Road-Lixihe National Forest Park Rainbow Bridge (G105)-turn right Enter the X871-Left Front Turn-Xitou Village-Millennium Grand Falls Scenic Area. 2. bus route local city bus station - Conghua Bus Station - 11 Road (or 12 Road) bus route (Conghua Bus Station - Liangkou Market) - Transfer to Liangkou Community Micro-Circulation Bus Route (Good Mouth Market - Xitou Village) Terminal - Qianlonggou Waterfall Tourism Area

A 1.5-hour drive from downtown Guangzhou. For last week's city escape, I chose the Xiangye Muting Lesu Campsite Homestay. I was just looking for a place to unwind, but it turned out to be a paradise for the kids. As soon as I entered the grounds, I was drawn to the wooden signs. The stargazing bubble area, large lawn, and family rooms were clearly laid out. Walking along the stream, my eyes were filled with lush greenery, and the breeze carried the scent of nature, instantly melting away the city stress. This isn't just a place to stay for the night; it's more like a small nature park. There are large, flat lawns where kids can drive mini cars and run around freely, along with climbing frames and tire walls. They played in the warm sunshine during the day, and as evening fell, the string lights were turned on, setting the perfect mood. The kids climbed all over the wooden structures, laughing and playing, and even time seemed to slow down. I chose the triangular tent room, which has a distinct glamping vibe, but the interior is far from basic. The private room was clean and tidy with soft bedding, and it even had a small terrace with a table and chairs. Sitting at the entrance, I could watch the sunset paint the sky gold. You don't need to bring your own camping gear, yet you can fully immerse yourself in the romance of staying in a tent. The details of the campsite are truly charming. Greenery is everywhere, and gentle dogs wander around leisurely. In the evening, the warm lights under the canopy turn on, and as we sat together chatting, we looked up at the quiet countryside night. As for facilities, parking is very convenient with plenty of free spaces. It's pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along for the vacation. The campsite offers packages, and if you don't feel like cooking, you can drive out to grab a bite. There are no crowds, and there's no need to rush your itinerary. Spend the day helping the kids burn off energy, wait for the sunset in the evening, and fall asleep to the sound of insects at night. It's perfect for a short family getaway or a small gathering with friends to find a sense of relaxation in the mountains.
