#mountainview Popular mountain spot of Lin’an county, DamingShan promises gorgeous views, fresh air and a sound of peace. After the entrance,buses drive you up to the hiking trail. You won’t really hike as there are stairs. You’ll come across caves and cross rope bridges. There are some beverage and snack kiosks at the top, but I’d recommend bringing your own lunch. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, take the slide all the way down! It’s such a thrill! P.S: There’s an entrance fee, but I went in April 2020 when access was free. This huge ski resort is Located in Linan (Daming Mountain) which is about 2 hours drive by bus or you could take the metro (line 5, line 16) to linan square and didi from there. We booked a trip with @Etravel. To get to the top of the mountain the resort has busses that drive you up to the cable cars that are 80¥ p.p one way or you could hike up from the cable cars. When in the cable car you can actually see how high up we are in the mountains. 😱🏔 A lot of thought was put in to the construction of this place. Once you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the snow and the Ski slopes. There is also a huge lake nearby 🥰 First you have to rent your ski gear there are many windows which helps to accommodate a lot of people (to rent equipment is 500¥, you get this back after returning everything). On the second floor there are local food options. After paying for the rental gear you recive a bracelet, you can then go and get all the gear you need, once you get an item they scan your bracelet. We opted for Snowboarding but the queue was very long for Snowboarding shoes, there aren't many equipment for this activity. There are lots of ski gear equipment. There about 5 slopes on there premises, beginner slopes to advanced slopes. The resort has conveyor to be able to conveniently get up the slopes. We had so much fun, we snowboarded for 3.5 hours! I have no experience in Snowboarding and enjoyed every minute of it. Locals call it their own little Huangshan. In winter, you can ski and see frost-covered trees. In summer, it’s a great place to escape the heat and enjoy stream trekking. You can hike outdoors to breathe fresh air and also enjoy amusement activities. Daming Mountain is perfect for a cool summer day trip! [How to get there?] From Lin’an, Hangzhou, it takes about 1.5 hours to reach Daming Mountain city area. Entrance is free. The shuttle bus round trip costs 25. [Recommended route √] From the visitor center, take the shuttle bus to the steel great wall, sky mirror, Daming Lake, mine cave, small train, fly over the clouds, hanging plank road, Dragon Gate waterfall, mountain go-karts, and stop to listen to the stream (the full trip takes at least 5–6 hours). There are 2 ways to go up the mountain: 1. cable car, about 12 minutes; 2. steel great wall, about 2 hours. There are multiple ways to go down, which you can combine yourself: 1. easy and fun: slide + go-kart; 2. waterfall viewing: walking trail + go-kart; 3. walking trail/steel great wall/cable car. Steel great wall 4,000 steps to climb to the 1,210-meter summit of Daming Mountain, a true challenge. The views along the way are wide open and beautiful, with several viewing platforms and a sky mirror where you can stop to take photos. Daming Lake The emerald lake above 1,000 meters elevation. You can walk around the lake or feed the koi. Nearby are amusement activities like rainbow grass sledding. Hanging plank road No need to climb the mountain. Dragon Gate crossing Below the suspension bridge is a spectacular waterfall. The whole route is very refreshing. Mine cave small train Ride the small train through a 10,000-meter cave. The temperature inside is 18°C, perfect for escaping the heat! Super slide An amusement ride that also lets you go down the mountain without tiring your legs. It is one of the well-known hiking and mountain climbing destinations in the Jiangnan region. From January 1 to January 26 each year, and from January 27 to February 15 each year, Daming Mountain is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 2:30 PM) and from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (last entry at 12:00 PM), respectively. It is closed at other times. The park is closed on February 16 and 17 every year. From February 18 to December 31 each year, it is open all day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 2:30 PM). There are multiple entrances and parking lots to enter the Daming Mountain Scenic Area. You can choose to take public transportation or drive there. Accommodation within the scenic area includes hotels and farm stays. Inside the scenic area, you can choose to walk or take the sightseeing shuttle bus. The walking routes are relatively simple, while the shuttle bus can take you around the entire scenic area. The shuttle bus operates from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (8:30 AM to 4:00 PM in winter). If you enjoy hiking, there are several hiking routes to choose from. The most popular routes are the cable car summit route and the Ten-Mile Osmanthus Corridor hiking trail. The cable car summit route is about 5.5 kilometers long, offering views of towering peaks, lush vegetation, and colorful autumn scenery. The Ten-Mile Osmanthus Corridor hiking trail is approximately 4.5 kilometers long, passing through scenic spots such as Yun Lake, Ripples, Golden Toad Playing in Water, Longtan Waterfall, Longmen Gorge, Immortal Cave, One Line Sky, Jiulong Pool, and Immortal Bridge, where you can enjoy the magnificent landscapes of towering peaks and stunning views. The wooden boardwalk, over 400 meters long, is covered with thick snow, truly like a fairy tale world! Walking on the boardwalk, the crunching sound underfoot feels like hearing a winter fairy tale. 2. Glass skybridge and sea of clouds The glass skybridge at Daming Mountain is really thrilling! Looking out, you see the sea of clouds and snowy mountains, it feels like being a celestial being! And in winter, the sea of clouds is spectacular, really beautiful! 3. Cliff swing and rainbow slide The cliff swing and rainbow slide at Daming Mountain are my favorite attractions! Sitting on the swing, it feels like I'm about to fly! Walking on the lakeside boardwalk, you can even hear the ice cracking sounds, super soothing!
