Fantastic location within an easy walk to the Pier, bus trips, ferry rides, and museums. The room was spacious, featuring a large bed and a sofa bed, with a nice view of Derby Square. The bed felt a bit firm for me, but it was fine for my husband and daughter. Breakfast options were excellent, offering cooked dishes, cereals, toast, yogurt, and more. Plenty of great nearby restaurants, including The Ivy and Piccolino for Italian cuisine. Bacaro provided a delightful Italian lunch with small plates, similar to tapas. A great steak restaurant was just a 5-minute walk away.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Derby to celebrate my birthday, as we had tickets to a show that afternoon and evening. Everything about our experience was flawless! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything exceeded our expectations. To start, the hotel itself was impeccably clean, and the decor was stunning! The rooms were beautiful, and we were even able to check in much earlier than expected—thanks to the wonderful Anna, who truly made our visit exceptional. She went out of her way to enhance the experience, giving us a tour and sharing a secret about the lobby. Her kindness made it feel like so much more than just a hotel stay. We had lunch at the on-site restaurant, and both the food and service were fantastic. Later, when we returned from the show that evening, the bar had an inviting, relaxed atmosphere that was just perfect. Our room was gorgeous, and even though it faced the main road, it was completely soundproof—absolutely no noise! Every detail in the room was thoughtfully designed, creating an upscale, luxurious ambiance. The bathroom was stunning and came fully equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast the next morning was delightful, with lovely views of the church and a unique stained glass cabinet feature adding to the calm, serene vibe. Every part of our stay was perfect, and we were genuinely sad to leave! The hotel's excellent operation made it feel like a well-established gem rather than a newly opened venue. A huge thank you to all the staff—we will definitely be back!
