⛴️ Amsterdam is the capital and largest city of the Netherlands, renowned as one of the world's most beautiful and romantic waterfront cities. 🚩🚩 The ultimate check-in spot here is the iconic view of historic waterfront houses at the Damrak Waterfront, located directly across from Damrak Street and along the entire quay. ✅✅ Unmissable Activities 📍 Take a Canal Cruise: Experience the city's waterfront charm from all angles. You can choose a classic glass-topped tour boat or rent a private boat. 📍 Walk or Cycle: Explore the city's beauty and its more than 1,200 bridges. Amsterdam’s waterfront atmosphere transforms with the time of day. If you visit in the evening, the warm amber lights reflecting on the water create a truly stunning scene. 📸 trip : 04/12/2024-10/12/2024

🌟 Zaanse Schans Windmill Village in Zaandam is a top landmark for travelers visiting the Netherlands. We visited on a Sunday morning; the weather was great, and there were many tourists. 🌟 The large, historic wooden windmills are striking even from afar. There are plenty of beautiful photo spots, and walking around to experience the peaceful rural scenery was incredibly refreshing. 🌟 Inside, you'll find restaurants, cafes, shops, and various museums. I highly recommend the cheese factory—there are so many delicious flavors to choose from, and they even offer free tastings! 💰💰 Admission to the village is free, but some windmills open to the public charge an entry fee of about €5. ✅✅ Open Daily ⏰ 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM 📸 Trip: 04/12/2024 - 10/12/2024

I love the Netherlands and the beautiful canals around the city. Food is always great and there's so many interesting people! But when it comes to the best travel time, I'm not so sure yet. The chance to experience a winter's fairytale is very small since snowfall chances are decreasing rapidly. But still, winter has that special 'cozy' vibe. Summer is totally different. Did you know that in the Netherlands in May/June the sun sets extremely late? sunset is around 10pm. So you will have long and warm days. What is your favourite season to visit Amsterdam ?

If you're planning a trip abroad, the Wise card is one of the most convenient tools you can carry. It’s a multi-currency debit card that supports over 40 different currencies, making it perfect for trips to South Korea, Europe, the US, Asia, and beyond. In this post, I’ve summarized everything for first-time users, including: ✔ Key features of the Wise card ✔ How it differs from other travel cards ✔ Basic usage ✔ Important tips for using it in South Korea ___ 📍Key Features of the Wise Card ・Manage 40+ currencies in a single account ・Exchange money at rates close to the mid-market rate ・Pay seamlessly at Visa-accepting merchants worldwide ・Check balances, exchange money, and track spending instantly via the app ・Withdraw local currency from overseas ATMs (subject to terms and fees) ___ 📍Using it in South Korea In Korea, you can use the card at most Visa merchants, including cafes, restaurants, hotels, and for shopping. However, please note that it does not function as a transit card for subways or buses, so you will still need a separate card like T-money. Additionally, while some shops may only accept cards issued in Korea, this is becoming increasingly rare in major tourist areas. ___ 📍About the Fees Shown in Images The images include price examples in Japanese Yen (JPY) for travelers from Japan. But Wise supports much more than just JPY, including: ・USD (US Dollar) ・EUR (Euro) ・GBP (British Pound) ・AUD (Australian Dollar) ・CAD (Canadian Dollar) ・SGD (Singapore Dollar) ・TWD (Taiwan Dollar) ・HKD (Hong Kong Dollar) ・KRW (South Korean Won) Since you can exchange your home currency into any of these 40+ currencies, it’s a great option for travelers from any country. ※ Exchange rates fluctuate constantly; please check the latest rates in the app before converting. ___ When traveling abroad, the most important thing isn't just "where you're going," but "having one card that works in multiple countries." I hope this helps anyone considering a Wise card! What kind of card do you usually use for your international travels? ___

Amsterdam in autumn is a dream come true for anyone who loves picturesque cities, historic architecture, and the quiet beauty of changing seasons. As summer fades and the leaves turn shades of golden yellow, amber, and burnt orange, the Dutch capital transforms into a charming autumn wonderland. The city’s iconic canals become even more beautiful during this season. Rows of historic canal houses stand beside shimmering waterways, while fallen leaves cover the cobblestone paths and colourful trees reflect on the calm water. Traditional bicycles parked along the bridges and narrow streets add to Amsterdam’s timeless charm, creating postcard-perfect scenes at every turn. One of the best experiences is simply wandering through the canal belt, especially around the famous Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht. The Jordaan neighbourhood is another favourite, with its cosy cafés, independent boutiques, peaceful canals, and inviting streets that feel particularly magical on a crisp autumn afternoon. For a little more greenery, Vondelpark offers beautiful walking paths beneath colourful trees, while the Museumplein area combines impressive architecture with a relaxed seasonal atmosphere. As evening arrives, the city lights shimmer across the canals, creating a romantic setting that makes even an ordinary stroll feel special. 📍 Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands 🍁 Best time for autumn colours: October to early November, depending on the weather 📸 Best experiences: Canal walks, historic bridges, autumn photography, cosy cafés, cycling, and peaceful park strolls. 💡 Travel tip: October can bring rain, wind, and chilly temperatures, so pack a waterproof jacket and comfortable walking shoes. Explore the canals early in the morning for quieter streets, or visit around sunset for beautiful golden light and reflections. Amsterdam in autumn is not just about sightseeing; it is about slowing down, enjoying the seasonal colours, and discovering the simple beauty of one of Europe’s most enchanting cities. Every canal, bridge, and tree-lined street tells its own little story. ❤️ #Amsterdam #Netherlands #AutumnInAmsterdam #FallColors #EuropeTravel #CanalViews #TripCom

There’s something about Amsterdam that makes you want to put your phone away for a moment and simply enjoy where you are. The peaceful canals, charming old houses, bicycles passing through narrow streets, and little cafés hidden around every corner create an atmosphere that feels both lively and relaxing. 🌷🏘️ One of my favorite things about exploring this city was how every street seemed to have its own personality. You can spend the morning walking beside the canals, stop for coffee in a cozy café, discover local boutiques, and watch the city come alive as the afternoon goes by. And when the sun starts to set, the reflections of the historic buildings on the water make Amsterdam feel almost like a painting. 🌅🚤 What makes this place special isn’t just its famous landmarks, but the little moments in between — the sound of bicycles, the architecture, the friendly atmosphere, and the feeling of being somewhere completely different from your everyday life. 📍 Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱 Some cities impress you with their size, others with their beauty. Amsterdam does both, but somehow makes you feel at home at the same time. ❤️🌍 #Amsterdam #Netherlands #VisitAmsterdam

The Netherlands is actually much bigger than you might think! 🇳🇱 So if you're planning a trip, I highly recommend getting a "travel pass." It gives you unlimited access to trains and trams, letting you explore everything to the fullest! 🚆✨ Plus, with a travel pass, you can stay in cities outside of Amsterdam. Accommodation prices are more flexible, and you could save a significant amount of money! The main cities in the Netherlands are well-connected, making it super easy to visit places like Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. When visiting the Netherlands, make sure to check which pass fits your itinerary. You can book your tickets in advance through Trip.com to ensure a fun and budget-friendly trip! 🌷💰

Stepped into a postcard-like Dutch village filled with traditional windmills, wooden houses, green fields and cute little shops. We wandered around, took lots of photos, and enjoyed the peaceful countryside vibes away from the city. 🌿🛶 besides they do offer cheese workshop, wooden shoe making workshop which were very interesting! It’s such a charming place to explore at a slower pace, especially if you love scenic spots and getting a glimpse of the Netherlands beyond Amsterdam. Definitely worth adding to your itinerary if you have an extra day! 🤍 #mytravelwrap

Even though I’m mostly traveling within Germany this time, I discovered this outlet near the border between Amsterdam and Germany while planning my trip. It’s rumored to be one of the largest outlets in Europe. Since I already intended to pick up a Burberry coat during this European getaway, I decided to dedicate a full day to it. I caught the earliest FlixBus from the station next to Düsseldorf Hbf straight to Roermond Designer Outlet. This particular route is the fastest, taking only about 50 minutes. (For the return trip, you wait and board at the same spot; just remember to keep your passport handy as they check it when boarding.) Since the shops don’t open until 10:00 AM, I took the opportunity to explore the Roermond Old Town. To get there, locate the McDonald’s within the outlet area and head down the adjacent path. You’ll find an escalator that crosses over the highway; a straight walk of about 10 to 15 minutes will lead you right into the old town. I wandered through the old town until 9:45 AM, then headed back to be at the outlet just as it opened at 10:00 AM. The layout is quite convenient. However, after seeing everything, My conclusion is that Gloria Outlets back in Taiwan (near Taoyuan HSR) actually offers a better shopping experience 😂 While Roermond features big names like Prada, Loewe, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, and Gucci, the selection at most high-end boutiques felt underwhelming—with the exception of Burberry, which was well-stocked (about 85% of their typical range was available). Regardless, I managed to find exactly what I was looking for at Burberry, so I checked off one of my major goals for this trip.

Before coming to the Netherlands, my mind was full of tulip fields, fairytale windmills, and picturesque towns. When I saw them with my own eyes, I was truly speechless from the beauty 💐. The scenery is impeccable, but after the trip, I also discovered many practical issues. Here is a real, practical guide for friends planning to visit the Netherlands, covering both the pros and cons in one go! 🥲💬 🌷 Keukenhof | The ultimate spring tulip destination ✅ Highlights: Open for a limited time from late March–mid-May each year. 7 million tulips of various colors cover the land. The sea of flowers paired with windmills in the distance makes every photo look like an oil painting. It is a top-tier photo spot in the Netherlands. 💡 Travel tips: ▪️ Be sure to book tickets online in advance. It is basically impossible to buy tickets on-site. Crowds are explosive on weekends, so I recommend entering the park between 8:00 AM–9:00 AM on weekdays to avoid large tour groups. ▪️ In addition to the park trails, you can rent bicycles to ride through the private flower fields outside the park. There are fewer people, and you have more space for photos. ▪️ Allow at least 3 hours to stroll slowly. There are many niche flower beds and spots with reflections on small lakes inside. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ The blooming season is too short! It is only open for less than 2 months a year. ▫️ It is crowded during peak season, and you have to queue for popular photo spots. ▫️ Food and drinks inside are very expensive; a bottle of water costs several euros. 🎡 Zaanse Schans | A windmill wonderland near Amsterdam ✅ Highlights: A 20-minute drive from downtown Amsterdam, with free admission. Rows of old-fashioned green windmills, colorful wooden houses, and vast pastures with cows and sheep wandering on the grass create a pastoral atmosphere. You can visit the wooden shoe workshop and traditional cheese workshop to see traditional Dutch crafts. 💡 Travel tips: ▪️ Come in the morning or evening when there are fewer tourists and the light is soft. Tour groups flock here at noon, and photos will be full of people's heads. ▪️ Don't buy souvenirs in the village; prices are high. The same gifts are much cheaper in downtown Amsterdam. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ It is quite commercialized with tons of tour groups. ▫️ It is almost always crowded on weekends, making it hard to get empty shots. 🛶 Giethoorn | The Venice of the Netherlands ✅ Highlights: A fairytale village with no cars, only canals and small boats. 🏡 Thatched-roof cottages, canals, hydrangeas, and white swans. Taking a boat through the water town is gentle and healing. 💡 Travel tips: ▪️ You can rent a flat-bottom boat to drive yourself; no license is required. It takes 2–3 hours to leisurely row around the village. ▪️ I recommend staying for one night! In the early morning, there are no tourists, and the village is shrouded in morning mist—this is when Giethoorn is at its most beautiful. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ Boat rental prices are significantly inflated during holidays. ▫️ The village is very small and can be explored in half a day. ▫️ It is far from Amsterdam, and the one-way commute takes a long time. 🏙 Amsterdam Canal Belt | The soul of the city ✅ Highlights: A World Heritage site where layers of colorful, narrow houses line the canals. A canal cruise is a must-do experience. At night, the canals light up, creating a perfect atmosphere. You can buy various tulips at the Singel floating flower market. 💡 Travel tips: ▪️ For the canal cruise, I recommend choosing the evening "blue hour" slot to see the architecture by day and the night views by night. ▪️ Getting around the city by walking and tram is very convenient. The old town streets are dense, so it is easy to get lost. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ Too many tourists; the streets are always crowded. ▫️ High prices; coffee and light meals at street-side shops offer poor value for money. ▫️ The streets in the old town are narrow. 🎨 Two major art museums | A paradise for art lovers Van Gogh Museum ✅ Highlights: Houses a large collection of Van Gogh's original works, including masterpieces like Sunflowers and Almond Blossom. A holy land for art lovers 🌻. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ You must book on the official website well in advance!! ▫️ There are no walk-in tickets on-site, so it is very easy to have a wasted trip. Mauritshuis (The Hague) ✅ Highlights: The museum's treasure, "Girl with a Pearl Earring." Seeing this world-famous painting up close is amazing, and the museum building itself is beautiful. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ Reservation slots for popular museums get snapped up quickly. ▫️ You need to book 1 month in advance during peak season. 🏘 Cube Houses in Rotterdam | Magical, viral architecture ✅ Highlights: Peculiar, tilted yellow cube houses with a futuristic feel. They are very photogenic and a unique architectural landscape in the Netherlands. 💡 Travel tips: ▪️ You can go inside the buildings to visit. ▪️ There are small exhibitions and shops inside. ⚠️ Cons: ▫️ It is not very large; you can finish visiting in half an hour. ▫️ It is a bit far to make a special trip, so it is better to visit if you are already in the area. 📝 Practical tips & honest feedback for traveling in the Netherlands 🧐👇 ✅ Best time to visit: 🔸 April–May is tulip season, with the most beautiful scenery, but it is also the most expensive and crowded time of the year. 🔸 June–September has comfortable weather, but no flower fields, and relatively fewer tourists. ✅ Transportation: 🔸 Take the train between cities; it is punctual but expensive. 🔸 Within Amsterdam, walking and trams are sufficient. ✅ Visa: 🔸 It is part of the Schengen Area, so you need to apply for a Schengen visa in advance. 💬 Why is it beautiful, but I won't come back? The scenery in the Netherlands is truly irreplaceable—the flower fields, windmills, water towns, and art museums look like oil paintings in every frame 🥰💕. However, it is just too crowded during peak season, with tourists everywhere at popular spots 🚶‍♀️‍➡️. Overall prices are high, and expenses for food, accommodation, and transportation are significant 💸. Museum reservations are difficult to secure, and there is little room for error in your itinerary 🥲. It is worth visiting once in a lifetime to see the tulips and windmills from your textbooks with your own eyes; one trip is enough to be fulfilling 💗. The romance of the Netherlands is something you will remember forever once you have seen it 🌷. Although I won't visit a second time, the flower fields, windmills, and oil-painting-like scenery this time have been healing enough. 🤗💗 If you are planning to go to the Netherlands and have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments section~ 💬

I set foot in Utrecht expecting a quieter alternative to Amsterdam, but I quickly realized I had stumbled upon something far more captivating. Located in the heart of the Netherlands, this ancient city originated as a Roman fortress named Traiectum back in 47 AD, making its history rich, deep, and beautifully preserved. While most international travelers flock to the overcrowded streets of Amsterdam, Utrecht sits just twenty minutes south by train, quietly boasting a soul that feels infinitely more authentic. Its crowning glory is the 112-meter Dom Tower, a gothic masterpiece built in the 14th century that still stands tall over the city center, offering a towering reminder of Utrecht’s medieval legacy. I found myself falling in love with its unique dual-level canals, specifically the iconic Oudegracht. Unlike any other city in the world, Utrecht features unique wharf cellars built centuries ago right at the water’s edge, where historical storehouses have been transformed into vibrant, glowing subterranean cafes, cozy bars, and indie boutiques. One afternoon, I rented a two-person kayak for around €12 per hour to paddle right under the old stone arches, watching locals lounge at the water-level terraces with craft beers in hand. Getting around is effortless since the entire core is virtually car-free and built for pedestrians or cyclists; renting a city bike costs roughly €10 a day, making it easy to weave through the picture-perfect streets. I ended my journey discovering secret spots that aren't printed in standard guidebooks, like the hidden courtyard garden tucked behind the Dom Church, known as the Pandhof, where medieval herbs grow in peaceful silence. For another highlight, I paid around €14.50 to take the guided tour up the 465 steps of the Dom Tower, catching a panoramic sunset across the Dutch countryside. If you decide to visit, skip the tourist traps andgrab a warm, gooey stroopwafel for €2.50 at the Vredenburg market, or grab a late afternoon coffee inside a converted wharf cellar. Utrecht proves that you do not need packed crowds to experience true Dutch magic, and it remains one of my absolute favorite discoveries in Europe. #UnderratedPlaces #Utrecht #NetherlandsTravel #ExploreUtrecht #HiddenGem #TravelStories #Oudegracht #TravelInspiration #underratedspots

An Amsterdam canal and art tour is the ultimate experience, perfectly blending culture and romance! Whether you’re looking for iconic photo ops, an artistic escape, or a deep dive into history, this itinerary is perfect for first-timers and seasoned travelers alike. Route Overview: We suggest starting with the iconic Amsterdam canals, followed by the Van Gogh Museum, and concluding with the Anne Frank House and Dam Square. The entire route is very convenient to navigate by foot or boat. Amsterdam Canals Start your morning with a canal cruise through the city's most famous districts. You’ll glide past classic European architecture and vintage drawbridges—every corner is a perfect photo opportunity. On-board audio guides provide insights into the city’s history and architecture. The scenery is stunning year-round. Remember to bring a jacket in the winter and sunscreen in the summer! Pro Tips: 1. Book a morning cruise for a more relaxed, "chill" vibe with fewer crowds. 2. Choose a sunny day and opt for an open-top boat for the best views. Van Gogh Museum After your cruise, it’s just a ten-minute walk to Museumplein, where you can head straight into the Van Gogh Museum (Address: Museumplein 6, 1071 DJ Amsterdam). This museum houses the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s original works, including his famous fruit trees, sunflowers, and self-portraits—each piece is truly breathtaking. The museum spans two floors, featuring special exhibitions and a look back at his life and artistic journey. Opening Hours: Generally opens at 9:00 AM. It stays open late on Fridays and select dates. It is highly recommended to book tickets in advance to avoid long lines. Tickets: Around $26 USD (approx. 203 HKD); it’s well worth spending two to three hours here. Note: Backpacks are not allowed inside, so please use the lockers. Photography is restricted in certain areas, so be sure to check the signs. Pro Tips: 1. Visit early in the morning or on weekdays when it’s less crowded to better appreciate the art in peace. 2. The museum cafe has a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for a short break. Anne Frank House If time permits, take a ten-minute walk to the Anne Frank House to experience a powerful piece of Dutch history and a moving human story. However, due to the limited space, tickets must be pre-booked online, and you should set aside 30 to 60 minutes for the visit. Dam Square For the final stop, head to the heart of Amsterdam—Dam Square. It’s open 24/7 with no admission fee. Here, you’ll find the Royal Palace, museums, and shops, and it's a popular spot for street performers. The architecture is grand and the atmosphere is lively, making it great for photos and shopping. As a major transportation hub, it’s a great place to sit back and relax after a long day while soaking in the Amsterdam lifestyle. Summary Travel Tips: 1. Amsterdam’s main attractions are concentrated; wearing comfortable shoes for walking is highly recommended. 2. Be sure to book tickets for popular attractions in advance to spend less time in line and more time exploring. 3. Arriving at attractions early can help you beat the crowds. 4. Follow all rules when visiting art venues and avoid using flash photography. Amsterdam is a city where art, romance, and modern style coexist. With this itinerary, you won’t feel like you’ve done too much—you’ll only wish you had more time!

Amsterdam’s canals and famous museums are beautiful, but I found a different kind of charm when I wandered away from the usual tourist route. My first discovery was NDSM Wharf, across the IJ in Noord. The old shipyard has been transformed into a huge creative space filled with street art, studios, industrial buildings, and waterfront cafés. I loved how raw and colorful it felt. Then I wandered through Karthuizerhofje, a quiet courtyard tucked away in the Jordaan. It was so peaceful compared with the busy streets outside. Amsterdam has several of these hidden hofjes, but this one felt especially easy to miss. My third find was Nieuwendammerdijk in Noord. The historic houses and old fashioned village atmosphere felt surprisingly far from central Amsterdam. I walked slowly toward the harbour and stopped for a coffee along the way. I still visited Dam Square, Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, Jordaan, De Pijp, Vondelpark, and the Nine Streets, but these three places gave me a quieter, more unexpected Amsterdam. Sometimes, getting slightly lost is exactly how I find the city I remember most. #amsterdam #netherlands
