On the hunt for legendary anime and jaw-dropping scenery? Each statue spot doubling as a scenic lookout for sweeping views of Kumamoto’s scenic landscapes ⛰️✨. The highlight? Chilling with a bronze statue while soaking in misty mountains and serene countryside feels. The statues are pretty spread out but I was able to visit them by public transport via local JR trains and buses if you follow the timings perfectly, but the schedules can be quite sparse. I utilized mainly the JR trains (Northern JR Kyushu pass) and a few local bus to get around the statues. Day 1 - Luffy*/Chopper*/Jinbei** · Kumamoto Tram to both Chopper and Luffy · *Take JR train to Sumiyoshi JR station for Jinbei Day 2 - Franky* & One piece train/Zoro**/Sanji***/Brook**** · Take JR train to Takamori JR station · *Take JR train back to Higo-Ozu station · **Take bus K3-3 from Suizenji Sta.dori bus stop (Near shin-suizenji JR station) · ***Take Mifune bound bus from Yokomachi bus stop to Nishiokan Day 3 - Usopp Take JR train to Aso JR station. Visit Mount Aso while you are there. Day 4 - Nami Take the Kumamoto airport limousine bus (Takamori bound) from Sakuramachi bus terminal to 'Moe No Sato' You would have visited me 9 out of the 10 statues by following this route.
