Changsha Weekend Laying-Down Guide

Come relax at this hidden gem of a hotel and café near Wuyi Square! The location of the Orange Hotel is amazing – a one-stop shop for food, drinks, entertainment, and direct subway access. Hidden at No. 1 Wuyi Square, the Orange Hotel is simply my favorite! ✨ When sunlight streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the lobby, the whole space feels warm and inviting. Even more surprising is that every room has a huge window; waking up to the sunlight in the morning is so therapeutic! I especially want to praise the mattress in the king room – it's the perfect firmness and incredibly comfortable. In the afternoon, you absolutely must visit the café tucked away in the alley (just 50 meters to the right after turning right from the hotel's back entrance!). The wooden tables and chairs, the lush greenery outside the window, a dirty drink with tiramisu – you can easily spend the whole afternoon relaxing by the window. The owner is super nice and will recommend beans based on your taste. All the desserts are made fresh daily! Getting back to the hotel in the evening is also super convenient – just a 5-minute walk from the subway station! Remember, after shopping at IFS, you can take the underground passage directly to the hotel, avoiding the sun and wind. The room cleanliness was impeccable; I saw the cleaning staff diligently disinfecting every day. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was excellent, leaving the entire bathroom sparkling clean even after a shower. Tips: → I recommend booking 3 days in advance for weekends, as their double rooms are very popular. → The coffee shop is least crowded between 2-4 pm, and the sunlight streaming through the windows creates stunning photo opportunities. → There's a Cha Yan Yue Se (茶颜悦色) restaurant right next to the hotel; you can order delivery if you don't want to go out. → Remember to ask the front desk for a high-floor room; the view is incredibly expansive, offering panoramic city nightscapes.
