Great travel guide to Chengdu: Four Maidens, Wawu, Dagupingchuan.

#TravelTalk China Trip Summary 🇨🇳⛄️❄️🥶 Good tips to prepare…and have fun! - This was a super VIP trip, a total surprise! 6 tourists, 1 Thai guide, 1 Chinese guide, and 1 bus. Very efficient, fast eating, and super fast movement. We could choose any seat we wanted! 😂 - The tourist attractions were very far apart. Bus rides were 3-4 hours each time. I kept falling asleep on the bus. 😴 - Opening the toilet door required real luck. I guess I was unlucky and found a golden toilet! Lunch ruined! 🤣 *At the viewpoint* It's better to wait until the hotel. 😅 (The guide told me to use urine to fight it, but I couldn't! I gave up!) - Squat toilets. Haven't used one in a long time. My ankle got inflamed and I needed medicine! - There were no bidets anywhere. Even the hotel bathrooms didn't have them. But we brought everything easily and were very relaxed. - Immigration checked every single power bank in the entire group *on the direct flight back to Thailand*. Someone had one confiscated, unsure if it was due to exceeding the Wh limit or not having a CCC (Certificate of Consumption). - Chengdu has tons of pandas, so many that it's overwhelming. They're all adorable and come in various prices. There are some really cheap spots, so you'll have to follow their recommendations. - The strawberries were sweet, juicy, and very crisp (I loved them so much I bought more). - The route was quite challenging. The bus was driving against trucks the whole time, and the road wound along cliffs. It was really exciting! - Everything was in Chinese, no English at all. - Our Chinese guide said that 80% of the tourists in China are Thai. It was like we were traveling in Thailand; we only saw other Thai people. 😂 - Paying was very easy. We used Alipay via the TrueMoney app to scan and pay. The exchange rate was current (not much difference). But it's good to have some cash ready in case the app/internet has problems/the QR code at a store malfunctions (which happened to me at a small roadside shop).
