Michelin Recommended Hong Kong Style Vegetarian Hotpot

This restaurant, which has been recommended by Michelin for 13 consecutive years, has always offered vegetarian hotpot broth. Recently, they have introduced a Hong Kong-style imitation shark fin hotpot. The vegetarian broth is made from vegetables and mushrooms, with added Japanese artificial shark fin, offering a fresh taste. The restaurant's handmade dumplings are also excellent, inspired by 'Shumai Beef' and 'Fermented Bean Curd Mixed Vegetables', making the hotpot both unique and delicious. The single-person dinner set is priced at HK$499 per person, but you are not required to order one set per person. Two people can share one set, and if it's not enough, you can order additional items separately. Customers who order the hotpot can also participate in a capsule toy lottery, with prizes including cash vouchers or other gifts. The Hong Kong-style hotpot comes in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, so be sure to specify when making a reservation. Generally, you can walk in and get a table, but it's best to book a day in advance to ensure seating. The vegetarian set is currently only available for dinner. The restaurant does not require you to order one set per person, so three people can order two sets, making it more economical. The vegetarian broth is made from vegetables and mushrooms, with added Japanese artificial shark fin and vegetarian meat strips, making each bite satisfying and full of ingredients. The appetizers, including soft-boiled preserved egg with pickled ginger and pickled cucumber, are both quite tasty, especially the cucumber, which looks plain but has a rich flavor when bitten into. Among the dumplings, the fermented bean curd mixed vegetable dumpling is my favorite, with a strong fermented bean curd aroma! The other two types, vegetarian dumplings and mixed mushroom onion dumplings, are also good but relatively ordinary in comparison. The vegetarian beef balls are made with Beyond Meat, and if you've tried Beyond Meat before, you'll recognize its distinct flavor, which is also prominent in these beef balls. In addition to the famous vegetarian broth, the variety of mushrooms is also unique, not just the usual enoki, king oyster, and shimeji mushrooms. The set includes five special types of mushrooms: Fujian white fungus, fresh Yunnan wild porcini, fresh Yunnan morel, fresh Yunnan wild matsutake, and fresh black truffle mushroom, which are rarely bought and even less commonly used in hotpot. There are also five types of tofu products to choose from: mini tofu skin, fried tofu skin, honeycomb frozen tofu, Chaozhou five-spice tofu, and mountain water tofu. The most special is the five-spice tofu, which is already marinated and flavorful, and even better after soaking in the broth. The vegetable platter includes seasonal vegetables, with kale being a standout. This broth is very delicious, and the set is rich in content, making it enjoyable and satisfying for vegetarians.
