The vast atrium is dominated by a single, monumental sculpture: a geometric cloud of suspended, mirrored fragments. Each slender, asymmetrical pane is angled with scientific intention, creating a floating constellation of cold, polished silver. By daylight, the piece acts as a deconstructed disco ball for the urban environment, capturing slices of Hong Kong’s skyline, passing clouds, and the hurried figures on elevated walkways, fragmenting the city into a thousand abstracted, kinetic paintings that glide across the walls. Yet, as evening descends, the sculpture’s true duality is unveiled. Concealed within its core, and projected onto each mirror’s reverse, is a warm, glowing counterpart of traditional holiday iconography—a flickering candle, a sprig of holly, a simple star—rendered in soft, luminous colour.
