Participating in such a distinctive local cultural event, I saw many local citizens eagerly joining in. I took this opportunity to be a bystander and took photos and videos, making the day very fulfilling. Many seaside areas have a goddess named 'Mazu' silently blessing the safety of sailors from ancient times to the present. Xunliao Bay in Huizhou is no exception. The Tianhou Palace, also known as 'Mazu Temple', was built in the late Qing Dynasty, with a history of over 400 years. After continuous renovations, the current Tianhou Palace is magnificent and elegant, very grand and beautiful. The main hall worships the sea goddess Tianhou - Mazu, the compassionate savior - Guanyin Bodhisattva of the South Sea, and the god of wealth - Caishen, among various deities. The temple is bustling with incense and many visitors, attracting many faithful men and women to come here to pray for blessings and experience Mazu culture. There are many small shops around, selling a variety of seafood and marine products, dazzling in variety. The architecture is very distinctive (different from the Jiangnan style), and the flags at the entrance of the Mazu Temple are also very special and beautiful. The scenery is very good and nice! So excellent!
