"Go to a Place with Wind" made me rediscover the gentleness of Dali, and Shaxi Ancient Town is one of the most touching scenes in the series. Following in Xu Hongdou's footsteps, I also came to this town gently enveloped by time. Starting from Dali Ancient City, the drive is about two and a half hours. The guesthouse owner personally drove us there. The stone-paved roads, the old stage, the wooden walls, and the wind and light in the alleys—every scene felt like it had stepped out of the drama. The biggest surprise was meeting "Shaxi Charlie Chaplin" in the ancient town—a locally renowned artist and guesthouse owner. Our guesthouse owner recognized him and went up to greet him, and the two chatted warmly. Then, he took out his paintbrush and painted a free portrait of us. No appointment, no exchange, just a chance encounter and a gentle gift in the afternoon. This wasn't a photo op, but a moment of being gently embraced by life. Shaxi is more than just a filming location; it's a place where stories unfold.
