A park in Jinan you can't miss—Wulongtan Park Located in Tianqiao District of Jinan city, within the Wulongtan Park in the 'Number One Spring under the Heaven' scenic area, it is also known as Wulongtan or Longju Spring, and is one of the main springs of the three major spring groups in Jinan, and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. Wulongtan has a long history. According to the 'Water Classic Annotation', this body of water, known as the Pure Pool, existed before the Northern Wei Dynasty and was a corner of Daming Lake. Legend has it that in ancient times, the depth of Wulongtan was unfathomable, and whenever there was a severe drought, prayers for rain were answered. Therefore, in the Yuan Dynasty, some enthusiasts built a temple beside the pond, with sculptures of dragon gods from five directions, and since then it has been renamed Wulongtan. Scattered throughout Wulongtan Park are 26 ancient famous springs of various shapes, forming the Wulongtan spring group, one of Jinan's four major spring groups. Surrounded by many spring pools, it forms the vast Wulongtan spring system and becomes the spring group with the best water quality among the four famous spring groups in Jinan.
