So close, so beautiful, head to Hebei for the weekend!🌟 A one-day tour to Yishui Lake and Taihang Ancient Town in Yi County, Baoding, Hebei, lets you enjoy the charm of natural scenery and ancient town culture. Depart at 3 pm on Friday, travel along the highway for about 4 hours, and you will arrive at the accommodation. Most places here are homestays, which may not be as luxurious as star-rated hotels, but they are clean and tidy, and the prices are very affordable!🏡💼 The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, start your tour of Yishui Lake. First, take a boat to the foot of the mountain; we chose Jinpo Wharf because it is said to offer more beautiful views. Some parts of the mountain climb are stairs, and some are flat paths. Although carrying children might be necessary, the scenery is still enchanting. A fellow traveler mentioned that the mountaintop is also nice, but there is a section with over 100 steps, which might be challenging for little babies, so consider this in advance!🚤⛰ After a tasty lunch, head to Taihang Ancient Town. The architectural style here is unique, making it a great place for photos, and the snack street is a must-visit for foodies. Although some shops were not open, you can still stroll around and enjoy the ancient town's atmosphere. For dinner, we tried the local specialty fish head with pancake, which was fresh and delicious without any fishy taste. Choosing a popular restaurant can also help avoid disappointment!📸🍲 Overall, this route is very suitable for friends with children. Older kids can climb the mountain themselves and enjoy the beautiful views, making for a pleasant time for the whole family.
