Lijiang Ancient Town.

Lijiang Ancient Town, also known as "Dayan Town", is a national 5A scenic spot, under the jurisdiction of the Ancient City District of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, China. It is located in the hinterland of the Hengduan Mountains at the junction of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet, covering an area of 7.279 square kilometers. The ancient city is named "Lijiang Ancient City" because it is located in the river bay of the Jinsha River, and the Jinsha River was called "Lijiang" in ancient times. Lijiang Ancient City was built at the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It includes the "Three Cities" of Dayan Ancient City, Shuhe Ancient Town and Baisha Ancient Street, but the ancient city continues the historical tradition of "no city in the capital", and there is no "urban area". There are attractions such as Mufu, Sifang Street, Stone Bridge, and Lion Mountain in Lijiang Ancient City. At the same time, the ancient city also has rich cultural activities such as San Duo Festival, Torch Festival, and Dragon King Temple Fair. In 1997, Lijiang Ancient City was listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
