Fengyang Ancient Village

"The famous Longshui has a long legacy, five miles east of the bridge lies Fengyang, leading the way for five hundred years, don't believe there's no fairyland on earth." This is a portrayal of Fengyang Village's geographical location and cultural history by a poet from Luoding during the late Qing Dynasty. Fengyang Village, also known as Yangtangtou Village, is located in Sulong Street, Luoding City, adjacent to the urban area of Luoding. Fengyang Village was built around the early Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522), and is one of the five famous villages of Luoding Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, known as "Three Heads and Two Reds." It has a history of nearly 500 years and has been recognized as an ancient village in Guangdong Province and selected as a "Significant Discovery of the Ancient Southern Guangdong Post Road." Walking into Fengyang Ancient Village, the ancient atmosphere greets you. From a high vantage point, the continuous ancient houses are arranged in an orderly manner, making one feel as if they have traveled through a time tunnel back to the ancient farming era. The exquisite ancient architecture embodies the wisdom and hard work of the ancient people of Luoding, standing out uniquely in the Guangdong region.
