Early Spring in Southeast Yunnan (Part 4): The Rapeseed Flower Sea of Luoping

The rapeseed flowers of Luoping are located in Qujing City, Yunnan Province. Luoping boasts a million acres of rapeseed fields, which have been recognized by Guinness as the "world's largest natural garden". The season when the rapeseed flowers bloom competitively is from February to March each year, and it has now become a famous internet celebrity check-in spot known throughout the country. After checking into the hotel and taking a short rest, we headed to the Jinji Peaks in the afternoon. According to the introduction of the Jinji Peaks scenic area, the Jinji Peaks cluster is located in Huiji Village, Baqiao Town, Luoping County, about 12 kilometers from Luoping County. The Jinji Peaks cluster presents a karst spectacle and is the core scenic area of Luoping's peak forest and rapeseed sea. Here, the peaks rise in clusters, stretching endlessly, with overlapping ridges and a vast expanse. The scenic area has fertile fields, and every year from February to March, tens of thousands of acres of rapeseed flowers bloom in competition. The golden colors spread for dozens of miles, like golden waves of the sea, with green peaks and golden waves complementing each other, creating an incomparably beautiful scene, which has been selected by 'China National Geography' as one of the 'five most beautiful peak forests in China'. Entering the scenic area, although the weather was overcast, walking along the country paths felt like a scroll of ink painting slowly unfolding, reminiscent of the misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River, the spring breeze bringing rain, white walls and pink tiles, mountains winding around, paths turning around peaks, and flowers blooming fragrantly. The yellow rapeseed flowers spread across the fields of hope, intoxicating visitors, making them linger and forget to return, too happy to think of home. The only downside was the fog that rose in the scenic area this afternoon, which affected the visibility, and the temperature was low and there were many people, so the shooting effect was not ideal. The original plan to visit the 'Screw Field' scenic spot was canceled due to the weather, and we just passed by and took a look. The guide sent two photos, which also counted as a visit.
