Niagara Falls: A Thrilling Dance of Water

Having visited Victoria Falls, Iguazú falls and most of Icelands big waterfalls before, it was hard to imagine that another waterfall could live up to the expectations, so I went to Niagara without any and I’m glad I did because it really was amazing! I think it’s worth all the hype and if you have the chance to visit, you won’t be disappointed. The light show at night is truly something special. Allow me to tell you a bit about The Niagara Falls Illumination. Hundreds of LED lights are housed in three locations across the Niagara Gorge in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Together, these lights create a breathtaking view not to be missed, and are illuminated every night of the year beginning at dusk. This Illumination display features colour palettes and movements inspired by nature, including the sunrise, aurora borealis, rainbow and sunset. It also displays the colours of the American and Canadian flags, and other colours according to specific holidays/ occasions. It was really beautiful to see the falls dance in different colors and also experience the difference between day and night. Best of all! It’s free!
