Smokey Bromo

One of the more popular and still active volcanoes in Indonesia is Mount Bromo. I had the chance to see the majestic creation in 2014. We were on a tour package as it saves so much time and effort, and it isn’t that expensive. Plus driving your own vehicle into the volcano area is not allowed. The journey started with a sunset view at King Kong Hill where we oversee Gunung Batok. Then we were driven to Segara Wedi and we had to walk around 250 steps up to the crater. Some can opt to ride a horse but it wont bring you near the volcano mouth. Once you get to the top of the crater rim, you get a clearer and full view directly into the crater! Although it is cool to be near the crater with smokes coming out from it, please be extra careful since there are no fences or barriers to keep you from not falling into the crater. #mountain #bromo #volcano #indonesia
