First Mountain Climbing Adventure at Mon Jong

Our first mountain climbing experience began at... Mon Jong!!! The first mountain we climbed was Mon Jong, which is not too steep and is suitable for those who want to start mountain climbing. If you go on a weekday, there will be fewer people, making it very private. We went at the end of January, on a weekday, and contacted the tourist service center beforehand to book a car and porter. We rode a motorcycle from Chiang Mai to the service center (leaving before dawn, it was very cold), and then they took us by pickup truck to the starting point of the hike. The trail was not difficult or steep, with continuous ups and downs. If tired, we would rest; I would take three steps and need to rest, haha, because I don't exercise much and get tired easily. Before climbing up the hill to the tenting spot, there was one very steep slope that we almost had to crawl up (on the way back, we sat down and carefully stepped down). Once at the top, it was so beautiful, and the wind was very strong. After setting up the tent, we explored the hill, took photos with the highest point sign, and waited to watch the sunset. It was very cold at that time. After dark, we returned to the tent. It was our first time eating in the forest, grilling sandwiches, sticky rice, and sausages - it was so enjoyable (very excited for the first time). Then we went to lie down and watch the stars on the hill. The wind was strong, and it was extremely cold. We laid plastic down to lie on. The stars were beautiful, but it was too cold, so we went back to sleep. Waking up early, we hurried up the hill. Ohhh, it was beautiful - the golden sunlight with the grasslands, the wind blowing the fog past us. Looking around, everything sparkled with dew on the tips of the grass. I wanted to stop time; it was beautiful, worth it, and I was so happy I could cry. We walked around taking photos, sat watching the view, and absorbed the atmosphere for a long while before going down to pack up the tent and head back. I was very impressed with our first time.
