Seattle 🌏 🌱

#earthdayjourney 🌱 EarthLab at the University of Washington We explored EarthLab, a collaborative space dedicated to environmental sustainability and climate solutions. This place brings together researchers, activists, and communities to create impactful change. Walking through their projects, we saw firsthand how they integrate Indigenous knowledge, urban ecology, and renewable energy research. It was inspiring to witness a space that fosters real-world solutions for a greener future. If you’re passionate about climate action, this is a must-visit! 📍 Address: 4000 15th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98195 🍃 The Bullitt Center – The Greenest Building in the World We visited the Bullitt Center, often called the “greenest commercial building in the world.” It operates entirely on solar power, collects rainwater for reuse, and even has composting toilets! Walking through this building felt like stepping into the future of sustainable architecture. Every detail, from the non-toxic materials to the self-sustaining energy model, is designed to have a net-positive impact on the environment. If you care about green innovation, this place will blow your mind. 📍 Address: 1501 E Madison St, Seattle, WA 98122 🥗 Cafe Flora – Plant-Based Dining at Its Finest We indulged in a delicious plant-based meal at Cafe Flora, a vegetarian restaurant that has been leading the way in sustainable dining for decades. They source local, organic ingredients and prioritize eco-friendly packaging. The flavors were incredible—every dish felt like a celebration of the Pacific Northwest’s fresh produce. Eating here isn’t just about good food; it’s about making a choice that supports the planet. Highly recommend! 📍 Address: 2901 E Madison St, Seattle, WA 98112 Exploring Seattle through a sustainability lens made our trip even more meaningful. Every place we visited showed us how small changes can make a big impact 🌏
