Shanghai Resort Hotel｜Zero Distance to the Museum

||🏨The Oriental Beauty Valley JW Marriott is already Marriott's 50th hotel in Shanghai, located on the artificial island of the new landmark 'Shanghai Fish' center in Fengxian (you can see it from aerial photos or maps). Right next door is the Fengxian Museum, and just a few steps away is a large forest park, which is very popular on weekends. Designed by Gensler, this new hotel opened in 2021. It might not be very famous yet, and business seems to be average. High up in the lobby corridor, there are photos of the founder, JW Marriott, giving it a distinctive flair. 🌳Surrounded by a lake on three sides, it feels quite secluded and leisurely. You can take a walk and take photos on the side near the museum. Due to the limited area, the outdoor leisure area is not very large, but you can take advantage of the surrounding areas, which is a small plus. 🛎Service didn't leave a special impression, but the all-day dining restaurant was really surprising. 🛏The room views are all pretty good, but isn't it supposed to be a resort hotel? Shouldn't the first round of the minibar be free? The slippers are the usual JW gray. 🛁The bathroom has a makeup mirror and a bidet, and the amenities are in large pump bottles (haven't stayed at a JW brand in a while, is this standard now?). 🏊🏻‍♀️There are indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor view is nice and spacious (but I saw new photos posted by others showing frosted stickers). The pine trees on both sides look quite valuable, but for such a new hotel, I couldn't find a water extractor. I suggest arranging one. 🍽HH: 17:30~20:30 can completely replace dinner. The lounge has hot dishes like freshly made black pepper beef, lamb, risotto, crystal shrimp dumplings, and beers like Corona and Tsingtao, along with many other drinks. It's quite luxurious. 🥢Breakfast is very strong, with the flavor of a resort hotel. However, the place is so big that it's easy to get lost. There are many Chinese steamed dishes, and you can clearly feel the hotel's sincerity at the Chinese food station. Four kinds of sweet and savory porridge, freshly made pancakes with pickled vegetables, including sour bamboo shoots, impressive! There's also bread pudding and hot oatmeal porridge.
