Qibao Two Temples and Two Treasures

Qibao Two Temples: Nanqibao Temple and Qibaojiao Temple, which are 100 meters apart. Qibaojiao Temple was originally the incense shrine of the Eastern Wu general Lu Xun and his descendants, and was later expanded into a Buddhist temple. It was originally located on Lu Bao Mountain and was commonly known as Lu Bao Nunnery. During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the nunnery was moved to Songjiang, and Qian Liu, the King of Wuyue, bestowed the Golden Lotus Sutra upon it. With this treasure, the nunnery was renamed Qibao. Due to river erosion, it was relocated to its current location in Qibao during the early Song Dynasty. Nanqibao Temple was originally named Dongsheng Hall. During the Ming Dynasty, Buddhist sites were not allowed to be called temples without an imperial plaque. The hall houses one of the seven treasures, the Flying Buddha.
