Found a treasure! The comic art festival hidden in a century-old granary

Not in the mood to fight crowds at the mall today, so I brought the kids to this 1908 vintage granary on South Suzhou Road to relax. The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the authentic industrial style—red bricks and white walls paired with high ceilings. Every photo I took had that rich film vibe 🎞️. They’re hosting the "Baijing Original Comic Art Festival" here, which is completely different from the noisy, crowded comic conventions. It’s all about “exhibition meets market,” making it a very laid-back experience. What surprised me most was the comic reading area! 📖 With comfy chairs, I stole a peaceful half-day here. There are many original comics on display that you can freely browse, plus some signed by the masters themselves! 😇 My little one had a blast too, clutching a stamp book and eagerly moving from booth to booth to collect stamps without me having to worry. She was curious about all kinds of unique original products, touching this and asking about that. Finally, this mom could relax and enjoy reading comics with a cup of coffee ☕️. The festival runs only until August 16. Take advantage of the weekend and bring your kids here to feel the warmth of print media and the passion for creation!
