Charming and Spacious Boutique Hotel with Great Service

We stayed for five nights in the Bungalow Garden Suite at the Heritage Suites. This charming boutique hotel, with just 20 suites, offers a refreshing and personalized experience. The main area, which includes the entrance, foyer, bar, and restaurant, is designed as a colonial-style mansion and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. It feels secluded from the busy tourist areas but is still within a short tuktuk ride. Our suite was very spacious (80sqm), bright, and airy, with its own private walled garden—a wonderful view. While there was some traffic noise, it wasn’t disruptive. The bed was one of the largest king-size beds I’ve ever encountered and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom featured a huge stone bathtub, separate shower area, and a steam room, giving us an abundance of space. We appreciated details like refillable and complimentary bottled water as well as the daily handmade turndown gifts. Breakfast, included with the stay, was served upstairs in the main building, which could be tricky for those with accessibility challenges. The made-to-order dishes were good but not exceptional, accompanied by a selection of breads, pastries, and fresh fruit. We also had a couple of lunches at the poolside bar where the lunch specials and attentive service really stood out. However, the Heritage Restaurant was a bit underwhelming. We dined there once before heading to the Phare Circus, and while the food was fine, it wasn’t remarkable. I’d suggest dining elsewhere for more memorable meals. The front desk staff were consistently friendly and eager to assist, though their frequent inquiries about our plans or outings got a bit repetitive after a few days. For tuktuk rides, I’d highly recommend Chuon Hak, a neighbor of the hotel, who offers reasonable prices and excellent knowledge of Siem Reap (WhatsApp +855 12 636 084). Overall, the experience was delightful, blending comfort and attentive service.
