National Heritage Punch-in: Quanjinhui Hall (National Level VI) & Pan Residence (National Level VII)

1. Quanjinhui Hall, the sixth batch of key national cultural relics protection units, Qing Dynasty, ancient architecture category. The hall was originally built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and was rebuilt during the Guangxu period. Quanjinhui Hall faces south with its back to the north. The hall is divided into central, eastern, and western routes, each extending four to five courtyards deep, and is well-preserved. The central route of the hall is used for welcoming guests, worshiping, and performing operas to repay the gods. Quanjinhui Hall is located at No. 14 Zhong Zhangjia Alley in the Pingjiang Road historical district and has now been converted into a Kunqu Opera Museum. Visitors can scan the QR code at the entrance for free admission. 2. Pan Residence in front of Weidao Temple, the seventh batch of key national cultural relics protection units, Qing Dynasty, ancient architecture category. This residence was built by the Huizhou merchant Pan Linzhao in the fifty-second year of the Qianlong period (1787). Facing south with its back to the north, it can be divided into five routes and six courtyards, with a rear connection to Huntang Alley. The residence is large in scale, with tall buildings and exquisite decorations, and is well-preserved. The central route of the building is slightly to the west, consisting of the entrance hall, sedan hall, main hall, and a three-story hall. Pan Residence is located at No. 3 Weidao Temple Qian Alley on Pingjiang Road, only a few hundred meters away from Quanjinhui Hall. It has now been converted into an Urban Construction Museum. No appointment is needed; visitors can register at the entrance for free admission. However, overall, due to the museum's design and display, the appreciation of the ancient buildings has somewhat diminished.
