Lingering Garden is a must-see in Suzhou

Lingering Garden is one of the four famous gardens in China, so it was the first place I thought of when I arrived in Suzhou. Wow, it's huge! It covers more than 20,000 square meters, and is definitely the best of the private gardens. Of course, it's not just the size that makes it the best, but the ingenious spatial design. The whole garden is connected by corridors, with pavilions scattered around, and windows with views. There are lotus ponds in summer and snow in winter. You can never get enough of it. It's definitely a great place to retreat. The most amazing thing is the stone mountains and peaks in the garden. The Taihu stones are exquisite, and each one weighs several tons. The Guanyun Peak is the best of them all. The generations of garden builders are admirable. In addition to Guanyun Peak, I was also impressed by the bonsai in the garden. An old elm tree showed me what a "stubborn elm" really is. Interesting!
