Budget travelers will cry tears of joy, staying at this hotel in Taiyuan is a must!

🏠 Check-In | CHECK-IN No renovation odor. The building has a total height of 15 floors, with a cramped lobby space. To the left is the front desk concierge, to the right is the lobby bar, and straight ahead are the elevators. I stayed in an executive suite this time, with the new Sheraton style, fully automated curtains throughout the house, and Toto washlets in both the master and guest bathrooms. The bathroom is spacious with double vanity sinks, a Samsung TV, and Bose sound system. The walk-in closet is connected to the vanity, equipped with a mini-fridge with a makeup mirror, very lady-friendly. The glass is well soundproofed, and you can hardly hear the noise from the overpass at the door. Overall, the hardware is solid, no major flaws, and the configuration is top-notch. The room has two downsides, ① The hairdryers in the room and the swimming pool changing room are 'Dyson-style' (not Dyson), and they feel a bit off to the touch. Sure enough, there's something a bit off about them... ② The welcome card in the room shows signs of multiple uses, starting with 'Dear Guest' and signed 'Room Service Staff', which is quite surprising. It seems like the responsibility of maintaining relationships has fallen on the service staff, where is the guest relations department... In fact, a perfunctory card that's been used multiple times is better off not being placed at all. - 🍚 Food & Drink | FOOD&DRINK The executive lounge is on the 12th floor, afternoon tea is served portion by portion and not self-served, you can ask for more if you want. The desserts are average, and the fruits are of normal standard; happy hour is very simple and plain, didn't feel like eating there so went out instead. The lounge is equipped with a beverage service station, but it's not always manned, and you need to go around to get drinks when there's no staff... There are quite a few staff members, but they can't always stand up and greet you when you come and go, and the service coordination needs to be strengthened. The breakfast is on the 1st floor, with a rich variety and decent taste, including some local specialties. The landscape of Binhe No.1 Community, without these high-rises, gives a bit of a resort hotel feel. - ✊🏻 Facilities | FACILITIES Located on the -1st floor, I didn't have high expectations at first, but it actually exceeded them. The swimming pool is up to the flagship hotel standard, with good water quality and comfortable temperature, and there's a constant temperature massage hot pool next to it. The changing room is equipped with a sauna. On the first day, I forgot to bring a swimming cap and goggles, and the staff proactively offered them to me for free, which was quite shocking. When I was changing and about to leave, the staff (apparently the department manager) asked me about my experience and suggestions. I said it was really great and made a small detail suggestion. The next day when I came back, I saw that it had been addressed. Such efficiency for a detail that doesn't affect the actual experience made me see this as a highlight of the Sheraton in Taiyuan. The gym equipment is from Life Fitness, smooth to use, and sufficient for regular training. - 🏞️ Scenery | SCENERY In your spare time, you can take the subway at the door to 'Kaihua Temple Station' and stroll around Zhonglou Street, which is operated by China Resources and is quite decent. To the west, you can visit the ancient Taiyuan County, Jinci Museum; if interested, there are also Longshan, Mount Tai, and the Botanical Garden to choose from. If you want to shop nearby, Longcheng Wanda is the closest, but to be honest, it's not as good as Wanda Mall.
