Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
🇹🇭 Wat Arun: The Temple of Dawn
Wat Arun, meaning the Temple of Dawn, in Bangkok is so amazing. The highlight is that the main stupa's tall spires decorated with colorful tiles shine brightly in the sun. Also, you are allowed to climb the steps at an upstairs level of the stupa, and you can admire the great view of the Chao Phraya river and the city of Bangkok. There were a lot of fine arts housed in the temple area. The details on the walls of stupa, church and even statues show beautiful Thai art and truly highlight Thai craftsmanship. If you have a chance to come here at night, you should because the temple will light up and look magical. The architectural splendor makes it a must-visit landmark. So, come to see, and you will not be disappointed, if you are a fan of Asian architecture especially.

Admiring the beauty of Wat Arun in Thai Traditional Costume
#familytrips2024 #vianasjourney
It has been my wish for quite some time to try Thai traditional costume. It looks elegant with accessories and bring out more feminine side of it’s wearer. While I was there, it was pretty easy to find a rental shop, which also offer to do your hair. I paid 400 baht for both my costume set and hairdo. The shops also have connections with local photographers which cost ranges between 1200 to 1500 baht. But I went with few friends so we divide the cost for the photography. There’s plenty of angle and sides of Wat Arun you can pose around. Photographer will also help and give some ideas on your pose incase you are not familiar with posing. It’s definitely a sweet experience. I highly recommend this experience.

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, commonly known as Wat Arun, is an ancient temple built during the Ayutthaya period, originally named Wat Chaeng. It attracts a large number of Thai and foreign visitors. It is a beautiful, ancient place with many spots for taking photos. For those who want to rent traditional Thai costumes for beautiful, retro-style photos, there are many rental shops in front of Wat Arun offering a variety of styles at rental prices ranging from 150-200 baht. Parking is quite limited, but you definitely won't be disappointed.
Open every Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00.

Wat Arun Ratchawaram
When I visited the Wat Arun Ratchawaram temple, I found myself at one of the major pilgrimage sites in Bangkok, Thailand. Known for its unique beauty and outstanding artistic design, this temple is one of the most famous in the country.
The temple scene was truly amazing. It draws the attention of visitors because of the main tower that rises over 70 meters high, a symbol of Bangkok. The tower is decorated with stained glass, mosaics, and exquisite bas-reliefs, adding great beauty to the temple.

Mind-blowing Grand Palace in Thailand❤️🇹🇭
#thailandtrip
You can find that there is no such thing as a trip to Bangkok "The next day of Tyrande never rests for a long time, shining for a long time." Finally, I want to recall and post, The Grand Palace+Jade Buddha Temple (heavily stylized and color adjusted). The streets of Tyrande P9P10: The light rail in Bangkok is very interesting to consider. Flights after rain, clouds and sunset before landing. I yearn to travel to some fun places. I use my camera to constantly record scenery and some "interesting stories". If I want to continue listening to the stories I see, some people want to discover more favorite travel destinations. Like and collect, and help and follow me.

Admirable National treasure of Thailand 🇹🇭
#cherryblossom2024
The most revered national treasure of Thailand is the Jade Buddha statue in the Grand Palace. 🛕
Visit The Grand Palace. The most worth seeing is the emerald green jade Buddha statue in the Jade Buddha Hall, which is 66cm high. A total of three sets of clothing were customized for the Jade Buddha. In February, they wore cool clothing and golden thread clothing draped over the Buddha's body.
Photography 📸 is not allowed inside the main hall. You can sit down and worship the Buddha, but your toes should not be facing the Buddha statue.🌸
The exterior walls of the main hall are covered with stained glass panels, shining brightly in the sunlight. The porcelain pieces come from Jingdezhen, China. Many of the porcelain pieces inlaid on the exterior of buildings were shipped from China and were broken during long-dist ance transportation. To avoid waste, they were used as decorations in the form of broken porcelain pieces.
The corridor is filled with gold leaf paintings 🖼️ , depicting the complex story of the king reclaiming the beautiful queen 🫅 from the hands of demons.

🇹🇭Sharing food together as a family
Bangkok Thailand is always a great place for family trips and this is a great place to bring your family for dinner. Everyone can buy what they want to eat and sit together to share the food together. There are also no restrictions to buy from certain stalls. You can buy from any stalls as you wish and even can take away as well. The coconut juice here is so delicious and they even scoop out the coconut flesh for you too. They also have the viral thai milktea waffles too and the queue here is not long so it is easier to queue.

## Bangkok Foodie Paradise: Sook Siam at IconSiam
Calling all street food fanatics! Sook Siam at IconSiam is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic Thai food adventure. Forget the scorching heat and crowded streets – this indoor market offers all the deliciousness of Thai street food in a cool, air-conditioned haven.
Wandering through Sook Siam is like taking a culinary journey across Thailand's diverse regions. From the fiery curries of the North to the refreshing green papaya salad of Isan, there's something to tantalize every taste bud. I snagged a plate of Khao Soi, the creamy coconut curry noodles of the North, and it was an absolute explosion of flavor!
Spice aside, Sook Siam isn't just about the classics. They have a ton of regional specialties and hidden gems you might not find elsewhere. Feeling adventurous? Try the Gaeng Massaman, a rich Muslim curry with origins in the South.
Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the quality is on point. Plus, the friendly vendors are happy to answer questions and guide you through their specialties. Seriously, where else can you get this much deliciousness under one roof?
Whether you're a seasoned Thai food pro or a curious newbie, Sook Siam is a guaranteed win. Do yourself a favor and skip the fancy restaurants – this is where you'll find the real deal.
**Pro tip:** Come hungry because there are just too many amazing options to choose from!

A trip to Phuket Island has changed my view of Thailand
I used to think Thailand was all superstitious and not as interesting as European culture, so I was never really interested in traveling there. However, my friends kept recommending how fun Thailand could be. Taking advantage of the recent reopening, I chose to give Phuket a try.
The result was that Phuket really surprised me.
The beauty of the Similan Islands is indescribable, and seeing the jelly-like sea for the first time completely healed me! Sitting on a beach chair, sipping coconut water, listening to the waves, and getting a Thai massage after a day of eating and wandering was just too comfortable and pleasant! The value for a 2-hour hot stone and essential oil massage for 200 is too good!
Before going, I was also worried that after three years, they might take advantage of tourists and treat Chinese people differently, but most of the locals I met were actually very warm-hearted, kind, and simple.
I encountered a fruit shop owner who ran a long way to catch up with a few Chinese girls, shouting in Thai that they couldn't understand, to give them the fruit they had bought but forgotten to take; on the day I left, the driver arranged for my airport transfer took a long detour along Kata-Karon-Patong Beach to let me see the sunset by the sea as we drove to the airport.
One or two heartwarming incidents during a trip can fill the entire journey with warmth and emotion, and sprinkle sunshine over the memories of these short five days.
My body has returned, but my heart remains in Thailand.
Not visiting these places in Phuket, Thailand is like not having been there at all (with guide)
Thailand has thousands of islands, but I still chose to come back to Phuket,
although it's not as niche as Elephant Island, nor as pristine as Lanta,
the diversity of Phuket really makes for a joyful experience!
-
In Phuket, besides enjoying the sea, there are multiple long coastline beaches,
if you like quiet, you can find a sea-view hotel to stay for a day,
spend a leisurely afternoon at a nearby seaside cafe,
Or you can walk around Phuket Town to feel the market culture of the town,
see Phuket's oldest temple, Wat Chalong,
and in the evening, enjoy a relaxing Thai massage.
For those who like lively activities, you can go for jungle zip-lining,
or island-hopping and snorkeling,
there are several night markets in Phuket that are cheap and delicious,
for those who love shopping, Jungceylon, Central Festival, and Big C are really all worth a rush!

Official announcement of permanent visa exemption! Enter summer in a second! This hot island that is only 4 hours away by direct flight~
Phuket is very familiar to everyone, the three major beaches here are Patong Beach, Karon Beach, and Kata Beach, which are crowded with all kinds of tourists. Although the three major beaches are beautiful, they are too noisy for those seeking tranquility. In fact, many other beaches in Phuket are also worth visiting!
For example, Mai Khao Beach, which has the longest coastline in Phuket, where you can quietly walk and enjoy the romantic sunset! It does not have the commercialization and vanity of the three major beaches, but it is full of vitality, small crabs, sea turtles, and the sea breeze are all evidence of the never-ending summer!
✈️Preparation before departure: passport, printed wine order, phone card, UnionPay savings card, carry cash 2000 rmb per person or 1w Thai baht per person
🏠 Accommodation: We chose to stay near Patong Beach, which is convenient for travel and has many places to eat and play. The hotel is very satisfied. There are two 711s within a hundred meters from the door, and the popular small hot pot is on the right side of the hotel.
👏Coming to Phuket, you must see the sea. Phuket has three major beaches, and it is very convenient to rent a car. You can rent a car for a half-day island tour (Patong Beach→Karon Beach→Kata Beach→Promthep Cape to watch the sunset)
1️⃣Kata Beach (Among the three major beaches, Kata is the favorite, with blue water, white sand, and relatively calm sea surface, suitable for lazing around)
2️⃣Karon Beach (Blue water, big waves, suitable for surfing)
3️⃣Patong Beach (The sea water is more turbid compared to the previous two, and there are the most water activities)
👏The second way to see the sea is to go out to sea🌊
✅Coral Island + Emperor Island Day Tour
The day tour reported on 🍑, only over a hundred per person, feels great, the itinerary is not rushed, very leisurely, plenty of time to play, snorkeling🤿, the sea water of Emperor Island is very blue, it is a jelly sea, but the waves are big, surfing is top-notch, Coral Island is not bad, basically no waves, soaking in the sea is too comfortable.
✅Similan Islands Day Tour
The farthest and most tossing among the island hopping tours, but it's really beautiful, white sandy beach🏖️jelly sea🌊, there are two snorkeling🤿. Depart from the hotel at six in the morning to the pier⛵️, arrive at Similan Island at about ten, and the play time is relatively short, not recommended for those with children.
✅There are also Phi Phi Island and Egg Island. The sea water of Phi Phi Island is green, with snorkeling, and there is a feeling of Guilin landscape, with mountains and seas. Egg Island is very close to Phuket Island, suitable for parent-child travel, many small fish, the beach is gentle, and the water is relatively shallow.
👏Coming to Phuket, you must go to the night market
1️⃣Phuket Old Street Weekend Night Market (Sunday 16:00-22:00)
If time can be arranged, you must go to this night market, which is very characteristic and has a great atmosphere. There are all kinds of food and fun. It is recommended to go early, the evening is more photogenic, there is sunset, the street is full of colorful lights, the bustling street, colorful architectural street.
2️⃣NAKA Night Market (Saturday and Sunday 17:00-22:00)
This night market is relatively cheaper than other night markets, a local night market, large in scale, with two areas for eating and shopping, with various special delicacies, and live resident singing.
3️⃣Frog Night Market🐸 (Monday to Saturday 17:00-23:00)
Very photogenic, with live resident singing, high face value, a variety of things are relatively complete, more tourists, the food is relatively expensive, but it is lively and the atmosphere is also good.
