Have you always heard that Yellowstone closes in October? Don't be deterred by winter! In fact, Yellowstone National Park doesn't completely shut down. After October, while most areas take a break, the small portion that remains open offers breathtaking beauty that lingers in memory. In winter, geothermal activity causes steam to rise from the ground, enveloping the park in a mystical aura. Walking along the snow-covered trails, the wildlife seems unfazed by the cold: American bison leisurely stroll on the roads, and foxes hunt gracefully, reclaiming their dominion. The vibrant colors of the Grand Prismatic Spring peek through the mist, and though the usual vivid hues are hidden, the dreamlike atmosphere still amazes. At night, back in Jackson, we embraced the "love it, eat it" philosophy, savoring elk and bison meat. The tender, juicy elk and the rich flavor of bison are unforgettable, as if the essence of the land is captured in every bite. 📚Winter Tips 🕹️Open Areas ⛷️Old Faithful and West Thumb Geyser Basin: These famous geothermal areas are open in winter.
