Tucked away down the quieter streets of Central and Wan Chai, both branches of @chottomakihk have been around for some time now, so that definitely says something about their westernized take on the Japanese comfort food (especially considering Hong Kong’s ever-changing restaurant scene) 🤓 Indeed, we love buying takeaways back to the office and occasionally dining in for dinner. You can customize your own sushi rolls or choose from their quintessential pre-set combinations 🤤 It’s best to come with friends or colleagues so that you can get a taste of each mouth-watering flavor! [𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐬] Their colorful bite-sized rolls of 8 pieces with an innovative twist are our must-orders. - Philadelphia: My absolute favorite 😍 The smooth cream cheese is the real MVP and you can never go wrong with salmon, avocado and mayo sauce 🥑 You might need to take a bite of the side pickles once in a while to counter the heaviness though - Mango Dynamite: A refreshing pairing of mango and cucumber to balance the fried tempura prawn. Loved how the unagi (eel) sauce adds an extra splash of sweet umami 🥭 - Cali Salmon: I usually only like my salmon raw, so the deep fried salmon in this roll was surprisingly scrumptious.
