Xining's most vibrant street is Xia Nanguan Street

At this time, Xia Nanguan is really bustling, with a super large crowd, and you can easily get separated in the blink of an eye . Xia Nanguan Street is the street that best represents the characteristics of Xining and is the most vibrant. In March, it is really crowded with people. This place gathers Xining's local specialties, allowing people to eat to their fill with the least amount of money! The entire street is quite long, and it takes about forty to fifty minutes to walk through . Recommended foods: sweet fermented rice/red date zongzi (from one shop) 🫕, cold mixed beef skin and tripe 🐂, fried potato chips/buckwheat chips 🥔, cold noodles/stuffed noodles 🫓, dog urine pancakes 🥞, handmade spicy strips, sazi, fried cakes 🥠, bamboo tube rice 🎋, peppery chicken 🐔, yogurt 🍶, fruits (watermelon is highly recommended) 🍉, etc. There are many options depending on personal taste. We bought from whichever stall had a queue to avoid disappointment. You can buy a little of each to try, but don't buy too much because the portions are quite large! We bought a lot of food, but there are no seats inside Nanguan Street to sit and eat. Everything is packed to go, mostly in plastic bags, which is a bit inconvenient. We went to the food court across the street, ordered a plate of spicy mix, and started eating. The service at the food court was excellent. The staff were very enthusiastic, arranged seats for us, provided us with napkins and red dates, and even prepared utensils for us 🍽️. It was incredibly considerate. The best time for friends to visit Xia Nanguan Street is from 3 PM to around 8:30 PM. We went at 7 PM, finished shopping by 8 PM, and around 8 to 9 PM, the city management started urging the stalls to close. By the time we finished eating at 9 PM and came back, there was basically no one left.
