Pengcheng Old Courtyard at Huilongwo, a blend of ancient and modern

Huilongwo inherits the traditional brick and tile houses of old Xuzhou, with the old appearance of blue tiles and gray bricks. It is an ancient and densely populated residential area that was first built in the Qing Dynasty. Due to its low-lying terrain, rainwater would flow back and accumulate, making it difficult to drain, hence the nickname 'Huilongwo' (Backflow Whirlpool). Later, due to its homophonic sound, the name 'Huilongwo' has been passed down ever since. Here, the blue bricks and gray tiles exude an antique charm, and the architectural style retains the characteristics of traditional Xuzhou dwellings. It not only carries a rich historical and cultural heritage but also integrates fashionable consumer elements, becoming a composite street that combines culture, homestays, and dining. It is located across the river from Hubushan.
