The Yuanshangdu site is located in the south of Xilinhot City. It was built in 1256 and was the capital determined by the founding emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, Kublai Khan, when he inherited the Mongolian Khan. Later, after the Yuan Dynasty settled in Beijing, it used this place as a companion. The Yuanshangdu site is square, standing on the platform outside the city, and it is faintly able to identify the pattern of the house in the current year.
