Here is the itinerary: Day 1: Lanzhou Airport - Meiren Grassland - Hezuo Accommodation on 6/5: Vienna International Hotel Xiangbala Plaza Branch Day 2: Hezuo - Rock Road - Zhagana Accommodation on 6/6: Zhagana Yunshang Ejie Homestay Day 3: Zhagana (Fairy Beach hiking) - Langmu Temple - (via National Highway 345) Maqu County Accommodation on 6/7: Maqu Xueyu Jin Zhu Hotel (We made a mistake in the travel plan here; we should have stayed in Xiaqu, so the next day’s trip to Labrang Monastery wouldn’t be so long and would save a lot of time. We stayed in Maqu, so the next day’s visit to Bingling Temple was too late. It’s possible to just view it from outside, but it’s a pity.) Zhagana Scenic Area in Gannan On September 15, 2024, Ali and his tour group visited the Zhagana Scenic Area. "Zhagana" is a Tibetan word meaning "stone box." It is located in Yiwa Town, Diebu County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province. It is famous for its "stone city" landscape surrounded by towering stone peaks on all sides and is commonly known as the "King of Hell’s Palace." It lies at the junction of three major terrains: the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Loess Plateau, and the Chengdu Basin, with an average altitude of about 3,000 meters. After entering the Zhagana Scenic Area, we walked along the wooden plank road toward the viewing platform at the foot of Zhagana Mountain. Standing on the platform and looking around, Ali felt that Zhagana truly is a "stone box": towering and steep peaks encircle Zhagana, embracing the Tibetan villages nestled below; the lower parts of the peaks are green with lush forests, while the upper parts are bare gray-white rocks. We continued climbing up from the viewing platform, surrounded by verdant trees along the way.
