Leaving Baizi Bridge, continue north along the east bank of the Jianjiang River. On the opposite bank are rolling green mountains, with a pavilion on each of the 2 peaks; that is Xishan Park. Follow the greenway along the river to Xishan Bridge. The middle of the bridge is for cars, with wide sidewalks on both sides, and there are covered structures built above, which are very beautiful. Cross the road and access the bridge from the north side of Xishan Bridge. It is livelier here, with stalls set up nearby showcasing Duyun's intangible cultural heritage. Duyun is the capital of Qiannan Prefecture, which means "City of Colorful Clouds" in the Buyi language, and Duyun Maojian is ranked among China's top 10 teas. Xishan Bridge was built in 1966. At that time, the sidewalk was only 0.5 meters wide, and it was the main passage from the city to the west bank of the river. After the renovation was completed in 2016, not only was the roadway widened, but the sidewalk was also expanded to 8 meters, and a 2-story covered pavilion was added, with the first floor for passage and the second floor for sightseeing. Cross Xishan Bridge to the west bank of the Jianjiang River. A stone archway stands on the hillside ahead, but I don't know where the path is hidden. Walk up the road, and behind the buildings, I saw a pedestrian overpass. Cross the road from there to reach the stone archway. The archway is inscribed with the 4 characters "Hongye Xishan" (Red Leaf Xishan), and behind it are wide stone steps for climbing the mountain. Follow the steps upward to the end, where there is a Nine-Dragon sculpture. This is Jiulong Temple, but unfortunately, the gate is closed. Continue up the road in front of the temple gate, and a stone path appears on the side of the road, with a sign for Xianglu Pavilion at the intersection. Turn into the forest from here; the mountain is not high, and I quickly climbed to the top. At the top of the mountain is a 2-story circular pavilion, looking like a miniature version of the Temple of Heaven, but the plaque hanging on the pavilion says "Zhongyun Pavilion." I wonder if Xianglu Pavilion is another name for it. Standing on the mountaintop and looking out, I can see the Jianjiang River flowing through the city. The Baizi Bridge and Xishan Bridge that I just walked across are all in full view. The city's high-rise buildings stand in the valley, surrounded by endless rolling green mountains. Not far away is another higher peak, with a larger circular pavilion on top. The sun has set, leaving only the sunset afterglow. I found a small path nearby and arrived at the foot of that mountain. I found the path up the mountain in the dense forest and climbed to the top in one go. This pavilion is 3 stories high and is called Wenyun Pavilion. There are stairs inside the building that lead all the way to the top floor. The view here is even wider, and even the East Mountain on the opposite side is visible. The wind on the mountain is strong, and it even feels a bit chilly.
