It snowed in February when I went there! The entrance was closed in advance, so you have to walk an extra kilometer! It took us a total of 4 hours to go there and back, but I think if you go to Seattle, you must go! Because the photos turned out so beautiful! The scenery along the way is also very beautiful! However, I suggest that you bring enough food and water when you go, and it will be more convenient to wear snowshoes when you go in winter! When entering a snow cave, you must also check the weather conditions of the day, otherwise you may easily encounter an avalanche!

For a more challenging hike, we recommend the Lake Crescent Trail in Olympic National Park, which circles the lake. The trail offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding forest, and on clear days, the reflections of the sky and mountains on the water are truly breathtaking. In the summer, you can rent kayaks and paddleboards and enjoy a leisurely swim on the lake. I personally recommend kayaking early in the morning to explore the lake. The reflections of the forest and mountains on the water are truly peaceful and soothing. Winter also sees fewer visitors, making it a perfect time for strolling and taking photos. The snow-covered lake and forest create a unique atmosphere. Around Lake Crescent, there's a small café offering light meals and drinks, as well as a picnic area, making it a great place to relax or enjoy lunch after your hike. As with other popular attractions in Olympic National Park, parking is limited, so it's best to arrive early in the morning during peak season. Mosquitoes and bugs can be plentiful, so it's a good idea to bring mosquito repellent during the summer months. Lake Crescent is the perfect destination for both relaxation and activities amidst a tranquil natural setting. With its crystal-clear lake waters, lush forests, historic lodges, and waterfalls, it's a highly recommended destination for travelers visiting Washington State.

The Woody Trail is rated moderate, stretching 4.9 miles roundtrip with about 1,500 ft elevation gain. There are three main viewpoints—Lower, Middle, and Upper Falls. We stopped at the Middle Falls, which many say is the best value spot: stunning waterfall views without the steep final climb. It took us around 2 hours. The trail is shaded almost the entire way (except the short dirt road at the start), making it cool and comfortable even in summer. Several sections run alongside the river, with spots to climb down and play by the water ⛲️. Around 1.5 miles in, there’s even a restroom detour—super convenient! At the Lower Falls, you’ll find picnic tables and a shelter, perfect for lunch with a view. 🌲 Day 1: A cute cabin stay in Skykomish (2.5 hour drive from Seattle). We stayed at @stay.pnw and enjoyed it very much 🌲 Day 2: Mount McCausland trail: 7 miles, 1,758 ft elevation gain and takes about 4 hours. Please be aware that the trail is unmarked and there are very few people - we were completely alone at the top 🌲 Day 3: Colchuck lake in Leavenworth area. This trail is no joke - it made it to #2 on my personal list of the hardest trails. It’s about 9 miles round trip and 2,326 ft elevation gain 🌲 Day 4: Leavenworth is a super cute Bavarian town, I wish we had more time to spend there 🌲 Day 5: Mount Rainier NP and Tolmie Peak trail - absolutely stunning view at the top, especially at sunset. The trail is well maintained, there are a lot of people so it’s totally fine to watch the sunset at the top and come down in the dark. It’s only 1,541 ft elevation gain and marked as moderate
