On August 10th, I visited Erguna Wetland National Park and rode an electric car along the forest path, which felt like riding in a Totoro bus tunnel. Walking along the park trails, flanked by lush trees, I felt like enjoying a forest bath, a truly relaxing experience. From either side of the ostrich park, you can ascend the mountain to enjoy the panoramic views. The left path is steeper, while the right path is longer and passes through a birch forest. Once you reach the summit, you'll be treated to some of Asia's most beautiful wetland scenery on one side and a vast expanse of grasslands and mountains on the other. It evokes the poetic sentiments of "stars hanging low over the vast plains" and "contemplating the vastness of heaven and earth."

Shiwei, located in Erguna City, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a border crossing between China and Russia. We didn't enter the Shiwei village, but instead drove directly to the border crossing. The National Defense Border Area is regulated, requiring a ¥20 entrance fee and a ¥5 sightseeing bus, making it the cheapest international trip ever. Linjiang Village is located in Erguna City, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The "jiang" in Linjiang refers to the Erguna River, the upper reaches of the Heilongjiang River, marking the border between China and Russia. The entire village has only about a hundred households, and walking along the village streets, you'll occasionally spot faces of Russian descent. Shortly after arriving in Linjiang Village, we asked the innkeeper how to get up the hillside to watch the sunset. He said to turn left and follow the path next to the Linjiang Inn up the hill. After a while, we finally saw the sunset. The setting sun cast a faint yellow hue over Linjiang Village, while the Erguna River continued its gentle flow in the distance. After sunset, we returned along the same route and happened to see Maria Bakery. We bought a loaf of bread to try. I had heard that the quality of yurts in Heishantou varies greatly, so before my trip, I compared several options, checked prices, and read reviews from previous guests. In the end, I chose to stay at the Jiali Tourist Ranch yurt and opted for the stargazing tent version, which comes with a skylight! Although I have plenty of camping experience, this was my first time staying in a Mongolian yurt. The yurt at Jiali Tourist Ranch was quite luxurious (as seen in the photos), featuring two large beds that could accommodate a family of four. However, my travel companion and I each had a bed to ourselves, enjoying the entire yurt. The skylight can be opened with a remote control, making it convenient for stargazing at night, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the outside scenery. The room is also equipped with air conditioning. The ranch also offers another type of yurt without a skylight, but I specifically wanted the deluxe version for a more indulgent experience—an occasional treat for myself!
