#hellonewyear Caumasee in the Canton of Graubunden Switzerland is one of those places that feels unreal the moment you see it. The lake is a bright turquoise color that looks edited even though it is not. Surrounded by trees and gentle hills, it feels peaceful and hidden away from everything else. Walking around the lake is easy and relaxing, with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the view. In warmer months, people swim and lounge by the water, giving it a fun but calm vibe. I loved how quiet it felt early in the day, when the lake was almost empty. Caumasee is perfect for slowing down, taking photos, and enjoying simple nature without effort. It is small, charming, and incredibly memorable.

Hey everyone! I just graduated from high school in Astana and decided to treat myself to a well-deserved trip to Switzerland, and it's absolutely next level. First, I headed to Flims to check out Lake Cauma—the water there is an unreal turquoise color, like it's photoshopped. I stayed at Hotel Adula. The hotel is super stylish, blending old stonework with modern Alpine coziness. Plus, the minibar stocked free local apple cider and craft beer, which instantly put me in a great mood. I checked the reviews for their food beforehand: the handmade Italian pasta here is top-tier, and in the evening, they grilled juicy local sausages and corn out in the garden. The aroma filled the entire forest, and I stuffed myself to my heart's content. Then, I hit up Vals and stayed at the 7132 Hotel just for the famous gray quartzite thermal springs. The vibe there is incredible; inside the pool, light filters through the gaps in the stones, and everyone is quiet and just relaxing, almost like being in a cathedral. The outdoor pool offers an insane view of the gorge. Naturally, I couldn't skip the local food scene and dropped into the two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Silver. I love discovering iconic food spots, and this chef really blew me away with the local lake fish and high-mountain cheeses. For breakfast, they served this amazing local Vals honey. I definitely want to come back here just to swim among the mountains one more time 🏔️.

During the summer, I sometimes like to escape the heat and head to places that offer genuine tranquility and a cozy sense of seclusion. This year, I chose Switzerland, specifically the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in the town of Arosa. The hotel has been family-run for four generations. As someone who manages a hospitality business myself, I deeply appreciate this style of management, which focuses on providing comforting details for the guests without being overly extravagant or pretentious. Two main highlights caught my attention during my stay: The first is the hotel's private cable car (Tschuggen Express). It whisks you directly from the hotel's garden to the mountain hiking trails at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. This complimentary service for guests is incredibly convenient, sparing you from waiting in lines or dealing with crowds. The second is the spa, designed by architect Mario Botta. The striking geometric glass structure emerges straight from the heart of the mountain, allowing natural light to flood in and creating a deeply relaxing and soothing atmosphere while swimming. As for the rooms, they have been beautifully renovated and are incredibly comfortable. The choice of cashmere and natural cotton fabrics for the bedding was a brilliant touch, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom is excellent. As for the renowned two-Michelin-starred restaurant, La Brezza, the service is highly professional and the dishes are innovative. However, I personally prefer simpler meals in the evening rather than overly complex ones. On the flip side, the breakfast buffet was outstanding, especially the local pastries paired with fresh mountain honey. This destination is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat to recharge and reconnect with nature.

#mytraveldiary What makes Lake Cauma unforgettable is its color—turquoise so vibrant it almost doesn’t feel real. But beyond the beauty, it’s the feeling that stays with you. I swam, lay on the grass, ate cherries under the sun, and just enjoyed being there. No rush, no plans, just presence. Travel often teaches us to chase sights, but here, it taught me to slow down. Lake Cauma showed me that the most magical places are the ones that let you simply exist. 🌸🍒 #mytraveldiary

#mytraveldiary I visited Lake Cauma early in the morning, and it felt like stepping into a secret garden. The mist still floated over the turquoise water, and the forest smelled of pine and earth. Only a few people were there, quietly enjoying the peace. I sat on the pier with a coffee, listening to the gentle lapping of the waves. It felt like a sacred moment, the kind you treasure forever. Lake Cauma isn’t just a destination—it’s an experience of pure wonder. 🌄☕️ #mytraveldiary

#mytraveldiary One of the best moments at Lake Cauma was renting a paddleboard and exploring. Gliding over the turquoise water, I could see the bottom clearly—it was like floating above another world. The reflections of the pines in the water were so sharp they looked painted. I paddled to the middle, lay down on the board, and just drifted. The silence, broken only by birds, was absolute bliss. Lake Cauma has this energy that makes you slow down, breathe, and feel alive. 🏄♀️🌊 #mytraveldiary

#mytraveldiary Swimming in Lake Cauma felt surreal. The water was cool, clear, and the most mesmerizing turquoise I’ve ever seen. Floating in the middle, I felt like I was inside a gemstone, surrounded by shimmering light. The forest hugged the lake from all sides, creating a secret, sheltered world. Families picnicked nearby, but out in the water, it was just me and nature. It was one of those rare travel moments when everything feels perfect, almost magical. Lake Cauma is paradise, plain and simple. 💦✨ #mytraveldiary

Lake Cauma captivated me from the very first moment I laid eyes on it. Nestled within a forest near Flims, it is often referred to as "the jewel of the Alps"—a title it undoubtedly deserves. The water boasts an extraordinary turquoise hue, almost luminous against the surrounding trees. As I descended the forest trail, the lake revealed itself suddenly, as if by magic. Sitting by the shore with my toes in the sand, I found myself staring in awe, unable to believe its beauty. It felt like stepping into another world, a scene straight out of a fairytale. Lake Cauma is more than just a lake—it’s a dream you’ll never want to leave. 💎🌲

Visiting Lake Cauma in Switzerland was a magical experience. 🌲 Located in the Alps, this lake is characterized by its clear, blue waters surrounded by forests. I enjoyed swimming in the water and relaxing on the sandy beach. 🏖️ Walking around the lake was fun, and I took photos of the scenery. 📸 I had a snack by the lake, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. 🍃 Visiting Lake Cauma was a great opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Caumasee, which I visited in winter, was half frozen and half unfrozen! The frozen portion of the lake was covered in snowflakes, while the unfrozen portion looked like a mirror. It was especially fascinating to see snow crystals for the first time. If you're looking to see as much snow as you can, how about Switzerland in winter? 📍Caumasee Caumasee, 7018 Flims, Suisse #WinterTravelDestination

#tripaway We went today to Caumasee and it was beautiful as ever. Mauritius like clear blue water. Almost no people. No matter what time of year, the Caumasee is always a beautiful place to visit.I was also mesmerized by the beauty of Caumasee.I highly recommend this place. #tripaway
