Maybe because I was weak, I could not stay in the water for long. Even though there was sunshine, my whole body was shaking. But I have to say that this natural pool facing the endless Atlantic Ocean is quite comfortable. In addition, the tour guide also took us to see natural waterfalls and majestic sea cliffs. entrance 6€ go there by bus 29 (one way fare 1,95€) nice few over Funchal, garden it self is not really well looked after. also there are no explanation sign. so we were slightly disappointed therefore not an must seen place on Madeira. go rather in to the „real“ nature on the different hiking tours

There is a floating island connected to the rocks, and you can jump directly into the sea. There are doctor fish on the rock blocks, so it's fun to splash your feet in them, and even if you jump into the sea, there are lifeguards on duty, so you can feel safe. Madeira is a volcanic island, so there are many rocky beaches, and sandals can be dangerous, but these facilities are good because the footing is flat but you can enjoy the view of the sea itself.
