Gaolan travel guide and discussion

Listen up, ladies, Lanzhou is truly a great place to treat yourself. This guide first lays out my must-visit list. Follow it and you’ll avoid most pitfalls. Let’s start with accommodation. I picked a hotel in Chengguan District for about ¥120 a night. Right downstairs is a night market that’s lively at night. Once settled, it’s time to explore. 💕 My must-visit list I really love these spots—every photo turns out great: Yellow River scenic route | free admission | half day The Yellow River runs right through Lanzhou. There are always people taking photos on the iron bridge. The water is yellow and wide, much swifter than you’d expect. At the bridgehead, an old man sells roasted sweet potatoes. The white smoke from his chimney blends with the mist over the river, giving a real sense of everyday life. From Baita Mountain, you can overlook the whole city of Lanzhou, with the Yellow River bending at the foot of the mountain. A local guy pointed out, “See, the Yellow River is the mother river, and Lanzhou is cradled in her arms.” 🎯 Don’t miss these experiences: · Zhongshan Bridge (the first iron bridge over the Yellow River) for photos. The night lights are beautiful · Climb to the top of Baita Mountain Park for a panoramic view of Lanzhou and the river bend · Visit Gansu Provincial Museum to see the Flying Horse of Gansu (free reservation), doable in half a day The smell of cumin and chili from street food stalls drifts in the air. The wind rustles the leaves. The temperature on the mountain is 7–8 degrees cooler than down below, luckily I brought a jacket. Lanzhou feels like a warm milk tea—sweet but not cloying, just right. 🍰 Food diary As a foodie, I can say Lanzhou’s appetite demand is huge: 1️⃣ **Beef noodles** (¥8 per bowl) Lanzhou beef noodles are the best I’ve ever had—clear broth, white radish, red chili, green herbs, and yellow noodles, the classic five colors. The noodles are chewy, the broth rich and fresh, and the chili oil fragrant without being overpowering. The noodle shop owner said, “Beef noodles are best in the morning because the broth is simmered early. By afternoon, it’s not as fresh.” 💸 Expense breakdown Here’s my budget breakdown. You can travel on a budget and still enjoy it: | Item | Cost | |---|---| | Accommodation | ¥120/night | | Food | ¥80–120/day | | Tickets | ¥150–250 | | Transportation | ¥30–50/day (bus + taxi) | In total, you can have a great trip for about ¥600–700 per person over two or three days, depending on your spending. Staying in hostels and eating street food can save even more. Lanzhou healed me during a chaotic time. If you’re tired too, come see it for yourself. One last note: traveling solo is amazing! Lanzhou is safe and gentle. Be brave and take a little trip just for you. Lanzhou · Gansu Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport Lanzhou Station Lanzhou West Station Lanzhou Ink Danxia Scenic Area

“Back from Lanzhou. I really don’t recommend going in July or August because the line for beef shank lasted until 2 AM and I still didn’t get to eat! The title ‘the only provincial capital city with the Yellow River running through it, the top nightlife spot in Northwest China’ is not an exaggeration! Honestly, don’t go (peak season edition) 1️⃣ 🚶‍♀️ Night market so crowded you can’t move: The barbecue stalls on Zhengning Road stretch from one end of the street to the other. Trying to grab a small stool to eat hand-pulled meat, standing for half an hour made my legs numb. The guy behind me carrying draft beer kept accidentally brushing against my sleeve 2️⃣ 📸 All people in photos: Taking a panoramic shot of Zhongshan Bridge, the ‘first bridge over the Yellow River,’ the frame is packed with at least a dozen tourists holding trendy sweet fermented rice drinks. Waiting for an empty shot means squatting for ten minutes. The Yellow River wind blew my hair into my face so much I didn’t dare lift my hand to brush it away 3️⃣ 💸 Prices skyrocketed: A 10-minute sheepskin raft ride on the Yellow River costs 180 yuan. A small bowl of gray beans at the night market is 20 yuan. When I scanned the QR code to pay with cash in hand, I almost thought I was seeing the wrong price on the order page 4️⃣ 🌬️ Sunburned to peeling skin: The midday sun in July shines directly on the Yellow River walkway. The ground temperature soared to 38 degrees. I accidentally touched the iron plate at the hand-pulled meat stall by the roadside and it burned me so badly I jumped three feet back 5️⃣ 🧊 Tricky temperature swings: Wearing short sleeves in the afternoon while visiting White Pagoda Mountain made me sweat, but going out at midnight for barbecue, the mountain wind chilled me to the bone. I was too lazy to bring a jacket and ended up shivering while eating lamb skewers, which ruined the taste Best time to visit May | Purple-leaf plums and elm blossoms line Binhe Road in full bloom. The Yellow River breeze carries the scent of locust flowers to your face. Night market wait times are cut in half. You can even snag freshly braised hot beef shank at the hand-pulled meat stalls October | Crisp, clear autumn days. The Yellow River water feels warm from the sun. From the top of Lanshan Mountain, you can see the city’s countless lights so clearly that even shadows are visible. There are two-thirds fewer tourists than in summer, and you won’t have to fight for a seat when going out for beef noodles in the morning Useful information · Opening hours: Most city attractions open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The riverside scenic area is free and open 24 hours · Tickets and validity: Most core attractions are free. The Gansu Provincial Museum special exhibition ticket costs 30 yuan. Other sites require same-day reservations and are valid only on the day of booking · Address: Lanzhou, Gansu Province Transportation tips 🚗 [Top pick] Taxi transfers within the city: Lanzhou is small. Cross-district taxi rides cost only about 10 yuan. No need to squeeze into buses. Just say the place name and the driver will get you to the beef noodle shop in about 10 minutes 🚌 Yellow River sightseeing bus: The ‘Yellow River style line’ sightseeing bus costs 2 yuan per person. It runs along Binhe Road connecting Zhongshan Bridge, White Pagoda Mountain, and the Waterwheel Expo Park. Sitting by the window and enjoying the river breeze is amazing 🚕 Shared taxi for Lanshan night tour: Splitting the fare among 3 people is much cheaper than taking a solo taxi up the mountain. If you meet a local driver, they might even give you two bags of their homemade sweet fermented rice. They’ll take you to a quiet, less crowded scenic spot on the mountain to see the whole city’s night view. It was so great I wanted to bring the driver two skewers of grilled lamb tendons as a thank-you gift before I left Must-visit attractions 1️⃣ Zhongshan Bridge Yellow River viewing area: Standing in the middle of the century-old iron bridge looking upstream and downstream of the Yellow River. The muddy river water rushes east with waves. At dusk, shooting the bridge’s silhouette with lights on against the backlight is atmospheric. Even the shadows of the Yellow River speedboats floating by add to the vibe 2️⃣ Gansu Provincial Museum ‘Bronze Galloping Horse’ display case: Squat for half an hour in front of the popular horse-stepping-on-flying-swallow exhibit. The green bronze horse stepping on a flying bird with its tail raised looks adorable. The footage you casually shoot is full of funny moments for your vlog 3️⃣ White Pagoda Mountain summit lookout: Climb the stone steps to the pavilion at the top and overlook the entire city of Lanzhou. The Yellow River looks like a yellow ribbon winding through the city. Dense old buildings spread from the mountain to the clouds. The panoramic shot you take can be used as wallpaper 4️⃣ Waterwheel Expo Park old waterwheel: Stand next to the creaking century-old wooden waterwheel and take photos by the cool water. The fine water droplets splash on your face, feeling refreshing. The vintage vibe is so strong you don’t even need filters Practical tips ☑️ Don’t think Lanzhou’s summer is cool and skip sunscreen. The UV rays by the Yellow River reflect off the water surface. Last time I forgot sunscreen on Binhe Road, and by afternoon my neck had a clear ‘T-shirt tan line’ that hurt for three days and made wearing clothes uncomfortable ☑️ Pack a thin fleece jacket. The night wind at the top of Lanshan Mountain is ten times wilder than you expect. Even if it’s 30 degrees at the foot of the mountain, after 10 minutes of wind at the summit at midnight, your arms will get goosebumps. No need to foolishly buy a secondhand 50-yuan windbreaker at the top ☑️ Don’t buy 30-yuan lamb skewers at the trendy stalls at the night market entrance. Hidden in the old alleys are community hand-pulled meat shops where lamb skewers cost 5 yuan each, sprinkled with cumin, juicy when bitten, and paired with free Fu tea that’s so fragrant you’ll want to stomp your feet ☑️ Bring a portable trekking pole. The stone steps on White Pagoda Mountain are ridiculously steep. You don’t feel it going up, but coming down your knees will shake from soreness. My friend didn’t bring one and had to squat by the roadside for 10 minutes before standing up after descending Special perks/easter egg Walk along the Yellow River’s sandy walkway into the deserted reed beds, and you’re likely to spot great egrets fluttering their white wings over the river, perching on cobblestones with plump little fish in their beaks, nodding their heads. The river breeze carries the aroma of lamb skewers grilled by an old man nearby. Blue-purple mallow petals dropped by local aunties walking by drift at your feet. All the frustration from waiting in line for beef noodles melts away. You’re immersed in the unique warm, lively atmosphere of Northwest China, feeling so comfortable you don’t even want to lift your feet to head back to the hotel.

Girls, I really could cry😭 Dunhuang in July is insanely hot during the day, but the desert nights are simply legendary! 🏜️ How to get to Dunhuang There aren’t many cities with direct flights to Dunhuang Mogao International Airport. Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou have direct flights, but tickets are very expensive during peak season. My budget tip is to fly to Lanzhou first, then take a high-speed train to Dunhuang station. The whole trip takes about 7 hours and costs just over 200 yuan. If you’re short on time, Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport to Dunhuang takes about 1.5 hours, with four to five flights daily during summer peak. In 2026, night high-speed trains were added for summer travel, so you can arrive early morning—tested and reliable. 🏜️ Staying deep in the desert ⛰️ The tent camp is in a desert area exclusive to the Mingsha Mountain scenic spot, about a 10-minute drive from the east gate of the park, with driver pickup and drop-off ⛰️ The dome starry sky room has a fully transparent roof. Lying on the 25㎡ king-size bed, you can watch the Milky Way arch across the sky and catch shooting stars without getting up at midnight ⛰️ Private bathroom + air conditioning + desert sunset afternoon tea ☕ Enjoy an iced Americano in the evening breeze while watching the dunes turn golden—the atmosphere is unbeatable July is peak season for desert camping in Dunhuang, with prices around 800–1,200 yuan per night. It’s best to book at least two weeks in advance, as popular camps fill up instantly. 🏜️ The real highlight: Mogao Caves In 2026 peak season, Class A tickets cost 238 yuan per person. This includes two themed movies at the digital center, shuttle bus, and access to 8 caves. But! Only 6,000 tickets are available daily, and you must book 30 days in advance through official channels with real-name registration. Tickets sell out within 1–2 days in July, so set an alarm to grab yours! ⏰ Best time to enter (tested): 7:30 AM for the first group. Watching the two movies at the digital center takes about 40 minutes, then take the shuttle to the cave area. You’ll enter around 8:30 AM when it’s least crowded and the guide is most detailed. Class B tickets cost 100 yuan per person and include 4 caves plus shuttle bus, but no movies. There are 12,000 tickets daily, book 15 days in advance. If you miss Class A, don’t worry—Class B still covers the highlights, though the experience isn’t quite as good. ‼️ How to add special caves After visiting the regular caves, you can ask the guide to add special caves on site. Each costs 150–200 yuan. I recommend Cave 45 for its painted sculptures and Cave 57 for the "most beautiful bodhisattva" mural—definitely worth the extra cost. 🏜️ The right way to enjoy Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake Peak season tickets cost 110 yuan and allow multiple entries within 3 days, which is a great deal. Open from 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM. My plan: enter at 5 PM! The desert is scorching during the day, but the evening is just right. 👉 Enter through the middle gate, which is closest. Turn right after entering to find the camel rides, 100 yuan per person for about 40 minutes 👉 After riding, head straight to Crescent Lake for photos—the light is softest at this time 👉 Then climb the sand dunes to watch the sunset. If you’re low on energy, take the stairs on the right for an easier climb 👉 Don’t rush to leave after sunset! In 2026, Crescent Lake’s water level reached its highest in nearly 20 years. The night view with stars reflecting on the water is stunning Tickets are valid for 3 days from the first scan. You can re-enter the next day to catch the sunrise. At 5 AM, there are very few visitors. 🏜️ Must-bring checklist before the trip 🧴 SPF 50+ sunscreen is a must for face and neck—the desert UV is no joke 🕶️ Sunglasses + face scarf + sand-proof shoe covers—don’t leave any behind 💧 At least 2L of water daily. Bottled water costs 10 yuan per bottle inside the park 🧴 Lip balm + moisturizing spray. Humidity in Dunhuang in July is below 20%, so skin gets extremely dry 🔋 Power bank is essential. Signal is weak in the desert and drains battery fast 🏜️ Common pitfalls to avoid ❌ The Shazhou Night Market is overpriced and very repetitive. Just browse to soak in the atmosphere ❌ Don’t pick the cheapest desert camping option. Public restrooms are really... well, spend 200 yuan more for a private bathroom ❌ No photos or touching murals inside Mogao Caves. Guides will escort you out if caught ❌ Mid-July daytime temperatures in Dunhuang can reach 45℃+. Avoid climbing sand dunes at noon Lying in the desert all night, I woke up feeling this trip was worth it. The overwhelming Milky Way above can’t be captured by phone—you have to see it with your own eyes.

Afternoon: Hike or horseback ride (about 150 RMB/person) to Locke Viewing Platform, a classic spot photographed by American explorer Joseph F. Rock in 1925. #discoversaudimoment Zhongchuan Ancient Town, located in the heart of Zhongchuan Town, is the most representative historical and cultural heritage site in Yuzhong County. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it was an important post station on the ancient Silk Road. It still retains a large number of historical sites and traditional buildings, such as ancient residences, shops, and temples. Strolling through the streets and alleys of the ancient town feels like traveling back in time to that prosperous era. The food culture of Zhongchuan Town is also a major highlight. The local cuisine attracts countless palates with its unique flavors and rich variety. Among the most famous is the "Zhongchuan Eight Bowls," a traditional banquet featuring eight main dishes accompanied by other snacks, all delicious and visually appealing. In addition, Zhongchuan Town is rich in local specialties, such as high-quality agricultural products and handicrafts, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery while also tasting local delicacies and purchasing unique souvenirs. Geographical coordinates: Located on the auxiliary road of Longshoushan Road, Gaolan County, Lanzhou. Open all day. For driving, navigate to "Zhongchuan Town South Gate" for direct access. Free parking is available at both the north and south gates! For public transport, take bus routes 10 or 2 to "Zhongchuan Town Station," and it's a 5-minute walk from there.

🗓Itinerary: (Recommended self-driving) option1: Private Custom Tour: Suitable for groups of about 7-9 people, with low per capita cost (2500-3000 RMB), look for all-inclusive ticket packages, usually excluding meals, only including daily hotel breakfast. Be sure to note ⚠️⚠️ all-inclusive tickets only cover entrance fees, not separate internal transportation within scenic spots (such as shuttle buses inside the park), make sure to clarify with the travel agency ⚠️ The experience is better, no tight schedules like big groups, and some scenic spots offer free extras like free travel photography. option2: Self-driving tour: Suitable for families seeking higher quality travel, no further elaboration. Day1: Nationwide ✈️ Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport or arrive in Xining on your own ➡️ Qinghai Lake Heimahe Scenic Area, avoid Erlangjian Scenic Area, tickets are expensive and not scenic. It is the largest inland saltwater lake in China. It is said there is a small island in the center of the lake where a group of nuns go to practice every year and return after one year 😃. If lucky, you can see flocks of seagulls. On the way out, you can buy a cup of yak milk tea to try ➡️ Next stop Chaka Salt Lake, known as the "Mirror of the Sky." Be careful not to go too late; after 5 or 6 pm, the lighting is not good. There is a small rail train 🚂 (park transportation) inside the scenic area, you can experience the feeling of the old salt mining train. If you don’t buy the train ticket, you can also walk in, but the altitude is high and the distance is long, not recommended for those with poor physical condition. Some areas allow you to wear shoe covers to enter the lake; the water is shallow, but be careful not to go too far. Undeveloped areas have natural salt caves where you could get trapped ☠️⚠️ The sea salt flavored ice cream inside the park is delicious 😋 ➡️ After playing, the sun will basically set, you can stay in Chaka Town nearby. Day2: Depart from Chaka Town ➡️ Chaerhan Salt Lake, you need to buy a shuttle bus ticket inside the park and drive 16 km further in. Actually, this salt lake is inside a salt field; the scenic area is the undeveloped salt lake part, overall light green, with many photo spots 📷. At the innermost part, there is an artificial salt tower. If you don’t mind your shoes being corroded by salt, you can climb up 🤓. It is recommended to wear shoe covers because the brine may cause skin allergies ➡️ At night, drive to Golmud city for accommodation. Recommend a cost-effective and tasty northwestern barbecue restaurant, Xinrong Barbecue City 🥩, located just below the Elong Wanguo Hotel. All skewers are safe to order, large portions and flavorful, the only worry is you might not finish it all 😭. Day3: Depart from Golmud ➡️ Wusute Water Yadan, take a small sightseeing car into the park. There are camels, boat rides, powered paragliding, and other entertainment activities, with many photo 📷 and check-in spots ➡️ On the way to the next stop, Dacaidan Emerald Lake, you will pass the classic U-shaped road photo spot on National Highway 315, but parking is not allowed ⚠️. I think Dacaidan Emerald Lake is the most beautiful among these salt lakes, mainly small lakes with different colors, including blue-green and yellow salt lakes. The water is also corrosive, do not enter the water. There is a newly built viewing tower with spectacular views overlooking the entire Emerald Lake ➡️ Stay overnight in Dacaidan. Dacaidan has a medium-sized Emerald Night Market Street, mainly featuring northwestern and Xinjiang cuisine, tastes good. Day4: Head to Heidushan ⛰️, the place on Earth that looks most like the moon 🌗. Heidushan does not require climbing, but there are some small sand dunes. The black parts on the mountain are volcanic rocks, entry is prohibited. Be careful not to cross the warning line when walking ⚠️. The best photo 📷 spot is at the deepest part; at the foot of the black mountain is a desert, very photogenic ➡️ Next stop Dunhuang, arriving around evening, just in time to stay at the desert camping site here. It is recommended to stay in a Moroccan tent with electric blankets inside; even if it’s only five or six degrees outside at night, it won’t be cold. The camp also offers sand dune motorbikes and Bombardier racing light projects, very exciting. You can go out at midnight to watch the starry sky or have the camp staff take you to shoot the starry sky ✨, very spectacular, you can see the Milky Way. Day5: Today’s driving is short, and the attractions are close to Dunhuang city. First, visit the Mogao Caves. So far, 8 caves are open for visiting, each charged separately. Visiting all 8 costs about 800 RMB. Photography is prohibited inside the caves 🚫📷. History enthusiasts can spend more time here ➡️ Return to the hotel for a rest at noon, then go to Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring around 5 or 6 pm. Don’t go later than this; camels also finish work 🤓. Enter from the middle gate and exit from the middle gate. There are many camels in Mingsha Mountain, grouped in fives, walking in a line. Riding costs 130 RMB for about 40 minutes, covering a long distance, very cost-effective ➡️ After riding camels, it’s almost time for the main event at Mingsha Mountain — the ten-thousand-person concert ⚠️⚠️ Be sure to check in advance if there is a concert on the day you go; it is not held every day ⚠️. Don’t forget to get a special support light stick for the venue. Don’t underestimate this little stick; each has a unique number. During the concert, the host will draw some lucky numbers in the live broadcast room, and you can win various 🎁 prizes ➡️ After the patriotic song ends, it will be around 9 pm. For those who want to eat heartily, exit the scenic area from the middle gate and take the free bus one stop to Dunhuang Night Market. But note ⚠️ the bus stop is a fake night market; you need to navigate to the real Dunhuang Night Market on foot. The night market is very lively, with barbecue and Qinghai cuisine on both sides at the entrance, and various snack stalls further in, with excellent flavors. Day6: Today’s goal is Jiayuguan, but first take a detour to Jinta Populus Forest! After entering the park, you can scan to drive a mini sightseeing car yourself because the park route is a loop with long distances between stops. The park sightseeing car runs every ten minutes, and waiting can be long ⏰. The most beautiful scenery is at the last stop — Jinbo Lake, with deep blue water like a mirror, surrounded by poplar trees, very photogenic, with flocks of swans and wild ducks ➡️ If you arrive at Jiayuguan too late, visit the fortress city the next day. Day7: Inside the Jiayuguan Fortress 🏯, you can see the first pier of the Great Wall, climb the city wall, and feel the grandeur of "a lonely city surrounded by towering mountains" ➡️ In the afternoon, arrive at Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park. You also take the park shuttle bus, which runs a loop route. The best viewing points are No. 2 and No. 4 ⚠️ The cover of the People's Education Press high school English elective book is from here. If you are observant, you can find the filming location 🤓. Day8: On the last day of the trip, on the way back to Xining, visit the Qilian Mountain Grassland. Many herders run their own guesthouses here. The one I visited had several lambs grazing at the door ☺️, not afraid of people, very cute. You can ride horses (galloping), take photos in Tibetan costumes, etc. On clear days, you can see the distant Qilian Snow Mountains 🏔️. ⚠️⚠️ Do not feed the small animals on the grassland; they are prone to virus infection 🦠 ➡️ The rapeseed flower sea in Menyuan was not in bloom when I visited, probably because the flowers were gone. The best viewing season for rapeseed flowers is July to August. Summary: The total trip length is over 3000 km, with long daily drives mainly on national highways. The roads are sometimes straight without curves and lack reference points, causing visual fatigue. Be sure to take breaks ⚠️. The diet mainly consists of beef and mutton 🥩 and Sichuan cuisine 🌶️. Note ⚠️ some halal restaurants do not allow 🚫🍺 alcohol; ask the staff in advance when dining. The Qinghai Lake to Heidushan section is on the plateau, with an altitude around 3000 meters. Be careful ⚠️ to avoid strenuous exercise, do not wash hair or bathe, and people with poor health should not drink alcohol. After Dunhuang, the altitude drops to about 1500 meters, then you cross the Qilian Mountains (altitude rises to about 3500 meters) back to Xining. This is my first time writing a travel guide; please kindly advise if there are any shortcomings 🤓 What are you waiting for? After reading, interested family members, hurry up and plan your trip!

Just got back from Lanzhou. No hype, no bias, just sharing my honest experience. Lanzhou is worth visiting in September–October, but you must be prepared. · — 🌡️ Temperature difference: Three seasons in one day During the day, it's over 20℃ (68°F+), so a single layer is perfect under the sun. As soon as the sun sets, it drops to around 8℃ (46°F). Once the cold wind blows along the Yellow River, you'll immediately regret not bringing a thick jacket. You'll be putting on and taking off layers three times a day, and it's easy to catch a cold. ✅ Must-haves: Thin down jacket/fleece, windbreaker. 💧 Dryness: Southerners will crack By the second day, my nose was dry and painful, my throat felt like I'd swallowed sandpaper, my lips were chapped, and my friend had a nosebleed on the first day. Bring lip balm, moisturizer, a large water bottle, and common medications. To be honest, even with these, it only helps—it doesn't cure it. ☀️ UV rays: You can get sunburned even on cloudy days Lanzhou is at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, so the autumn sun is still harsh. You can get sunburned or tanned after just 2–3 hours outside on a cloudy day. SPF50+ sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses—be fully prepared. 🚗 Transportation: The airport is far, and attractions are scattered Zhongchuan Airport is over 70 km from the city center, so don't take a taxi. Take the intercity train directly to Lanzhou West Station; it takes about 50 minutes and costs around 20+ yuan. The city is spread out along the Yellow River. Trips to Shuimo Danxia or Xinglong Mountain take 3–4 hours round trip. Don't pack your itinerary too full; 1–2 key spots a day is enough. 🏠 Accommodation Choose the Chengguan District near Xiguan Cross or Zhangye Road; you can walk to the Zhongshan Bridge and night markets. Don't stay in Lanzhou New Area; it's suspiciously far away. 🍜 Food: Don't get ripped off at the entrance of tourist spots Beef noodles next to Zhongshan Bridge or at the entrance of Zhengning Road Night Market are twice as expensive as in the old town, and the taste isn't guaranteed. If you want authentic beef noodles, head into the residential alleys of Chengguan District, look for shops crowded with locals, and follow them in. The milk egg sweet fermented rice at Zhengning Road Night Market is worth the wait; look for the one with the white-bearded grandpa. 🌅 Must-visit attractions · Yellow River Scenic Line + Zhongshan Bridge: Go in the evening; the sunset and night views are both beautiful. · Gansu Provincial Museum: The original Bronze Galloping Horse is on display until October 15. Book 3 days in advance. It's closed on Mondays; check official announcements. · Shuimo Danxia: Go after 3–4 PM to avoid the harsh sun; the sunset light and shadows are the most beautiful. · Xinglong Mountain: The autumn leaves are stunning in September–October; you can plan for half a day. · Zhengning Road Night Market: Go for food in the evening; try a little bit of everything. 🍈 Autumn joy: Fruit freedom The Bailan melons are sickeningly sweet; Soft pears look ugly, but one bite is full of icy, sweet juice; Huaniu apples are crisp, sweet, and juicy, and the price is unbelievably cheap. Buy a watermelon on the side of the road, and its sweetness will beat anything from the supermarket. 📌 Practical Tips 1. A warm jacket is a must; it's really cold along the Yellow River in the morning and evening. 2. Plan your visit to Shuimo Danxia for after 3–4 PM for the best light. 3. Stay in Chengguan District near Xiguan Cross/Zhangye Road; don't stay in Lanzhou New Area. 4. Book museum tickets and intercity train tickets on your phone in advance. 5. Don't pack your itinerary too full; 1–2 spots a day, and take your time. 🗓️ Suggested Itinerary D1: Arrive in Lanzhou → Yellow River Scenic Line → Zhongshan Bridge → Zhengning Road Night Market D2: Gansu Provincial Museum → Yellow River Mother Statue → Waterwheel Expo Park D3: Shuimo Danxia or Xinglong Mountain → Return trip Summary: Lanzhou has deep cultural roots and a vibrant atmosphere, with plenty of autumn fruits and beautiful night views of the Yellow River. But the dryness, temperature differences, and scattered attractions are real challenges. Prepare well before you go, and your experience will be much better.

Most attractions along the Yellow River are free. Freshmen enjoy free admission, saving even more on ticket costs! 💡Honest advice & travel tips Autumn in Lanzhou is short, but it's exceptionally beautiful. The leaves on both banks of the Yellow River turn yellow, the entire riverside road puts on its autumn attire, and the city's pace slows down. The sincerity of this city in offering free admission to freshmen is truly moving. ⚠️Most importantly! The temperature difference between day and night is huge. T-shirts during the day, light down jackets at night—dress in layers! Be sure to bring sunscreen and a windbreaker. Lanzhou is not a place for a rushed visit. A bowl of beef noodles, a cup of Sanpaotai tea, and a slow walk along the Yellow River is the best way to experience the Golden City.

Flying solo from Shanghai to Urumqi with a layover at Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport, I landed at 1 AM. In the past, when traveling alone, I always thought it was fine to just make do for the night in the terminal. But this time, after passing security and seeing the empty departure hall, I suddenly felt a bit uneasy—a girl sitting there in the middle of the night—so I decided to head out and stay at a hotel for the night. 🚕 Calling for a pickup at 1 AM I searched for hotels near the airport on Trip.com, picked one with a 4.7 rating, and called them. The driver said he'd be there in 10 minutes. I waited at the T3 arrival exit, and within a few minutes, the driver pulled up. The first thing he said when I got in was, "Traveling for work alone, young lady? Don't be afraid, I'll take you right to the hotel entrance." 🏨 Arriving at the hotel at 1:30 AM It was 1:30 AM when I arrived at the hotel. The receptionist was still on duty, and seeing I was a solo female traveler, she specifically arranged a room on the 7th floor, tucked away inside. Once I entered the room, I immediately locked the door and pulled the curtains—it had a large floor-to-ceiling window, which would have great lighting during the day. At night, with the central air conditioning on, the temperature was just right, and it wasn't noisy at all. The pressure-relieving mattress really saved me. I lay down at 2 AM and slept until 9 AM the next day, not even hearing my alarm. In the past, when I made do for the night in the terminal, my neck and back would ache, and I'd be groggy for the whole flight to Urumqi the next day. This time, I slept for 8 hours and felt completely refreshed the next day. 🍜 Getting enough sleep and going for breakfast in the morning I woke up after 9 AM, went downstairs, and asked the receptionist what was good to eat nearby. She said Zhongchuan Town was a 5-minute walk away and recommended a beef noodle shop there. It was 8 yuan a bowl, the beef broth was very rich, and I added a braised egg for 2 yuan. Eating it warmed me up completely. The owner saw I was alone and told me, "Young lady, I'll add some extra broth so you don't go hungry." ✈️ 10-minute ride to the airport After eating, I called the driver. He was at the hotel entrance in 10 minutes and dropped me off directly at the T3 terminal entrance. When I got out, the driver even said, "Take care when traveling alone, and stay here again next time you have a layover." 💡 Tips for solo female travelers during layovers: Don't try to tough it out if you're a solo female traveler with a late-night layover. Staying at a hotel near the airport is much safer, and the drivers provide free pickup and drop-off, so you don't have to take unlicensed taxis. Choose a room on a higher floor that's tucked away inside. Lock the door and pull the curtains for a peaceful sleep. The pressure-relieving mattress is really comfortable. You can just collapse and sleep as soon as you arrive, which is a hundred times better than curling up on a chair. Get enough sleep in the morning, then go to the town for a bowl of beef noodles. It costs 8 yuan and is tastier and cheaper than eating at the airport. Schedule your ride to the airport 30 minutes in advance. The driver will arrive on time, so you won't have to rush. I used to think that when traveling alone, I should save money and just make do for the night. After getting a good night's sleep near Lanzhou Airport this time, I finally realized—when you're away from home, sleeping well is more important than saving money. When you travel alone, do you prefer to go out and stay at a hotel for the night, or do you just make do in the terminal?

📍Detailed Address Yachuan Village, Zhonghe Town, Gaolan County, Lanzhou (Lanzhou Wildlife Park, approx. 40 mins drive from downtown) 🚗Stress-free route (no marathon walking) Enter through the main gate → Take the feeding vehicle in the drive-through area🚐 → Visit the giant pandas first in the walking area🐼 → Petting zoo area🐑 → Take a stroll by the Waterfowl Lake → Take the cable car/mini train back to the entrance🚠 Half a day is enough, don't overdo it! If traveling with kids or seniors, just "see the highlights + take photos," don't try to cover the whole park, or your legs will really give out🦵 💣Honest tips to avoid pitfalls ❌Don't believe "you can feed animals anywhere in the park." Bringing your own vegetables will get confiscated; look for the official feeding packs ❌Parking is a scramble after 10:00 AM on weekends; arriving before 9:30 AM is best ❌The walking area has many downhill slopes; a stroller is better than carrying kids. Wear sneakers, not dress shoes👟 ❌Food and drinks in the park are pricey; don't stock up too much before entering, just bring your own water + small snacks ❌Don't wait specifically for animal shows; it's better to catch feeding times for a more interactive experience 🐾Recommended highlights Giant Panda Pavilion (Lanzhou's top attraction🐼), Giraffe/Zebra drive-through area, Alpaca petting area (great for photos📸), Northwest desert animal area (rare elsewhere) 💰Budget reference (2 people) Tickets: approx. 140 Feeding packs/mini train: 80–120 Food and drinks: 60–100 Total: 280–360. Turns out, Yellow River cruises start at 95, sheepskin rafts are 135+, and Yellow River Tower night tour packages cost hundreds. Then I realized: the breeze at Zhongshan Bridge, the sunset at Baita Mountain, the Bronze Galloping Horse at the Provincial Museum, and the 3-yuan water bus—these are basically free. Lanzhou is the master of pretending to be "Northwest expensive": In reality, it’s a budget-friendly assassin among transit hubs (a reverse assassin: it’s too cheap). The only money you’ll spend is if you act like a tourist trap victim by eating beef noodles near scenic spots or overspending at night markets. 🗺️ 3 Days, 2 Nights: The "Don't Get Sunburned" Edition Day 1 | Yellow River Scenic Line Morning: Alleyway beef noodles (ask for "erxi" or "sanxi" noodles, eat in the morning!) Zhongshan Bridge → Mother of the Yellow River Statue → Waterwheel Expo Park → Hike up Baita Mountain for the night view of Zhongshan Bridge Evening: Try snacks at Zhengning Road but don't go crazy; Nanguan/Dazhong Alley are more like the local canteens. Day 2 | Silk Road Golden City Gansu Provincial Museum (free, book in advance, see the Bronze Galloping Horse) → Dunhuang Art Gallery (free) → Wuquan Mountain Park (free) → Dazhong Alley: Ma San potato chips, gray pea soup (huidouzi), fermented oat drink (tianpeizi), and cold noodles (liangpi). Evening at Nanguan Ethnic Flavor Street: Hand-grabbed lamb, barbecue, and milk egg sweet soup (laozao). Day 3 | Danxia or Chill For the energetic: Water Ink Danxia (ticket + sightseeing bus approx. 80–88, 1 hour from downtown). For the lazy: Lanzhou Old Street → Water bus by the Yellow River (3 yuan) → Fangha fermented oat milk tea → Head to the train station. 🍜 How Locals Eat (Don't trust "Lanzhou Ramen") ✅ Mogouyan, Wumule, Mazilu (morning session), Nanguan hand-grabbed lamb, Baishu Alley morning hand-grabbed lamb, Dazhong Alley time-honored brands, tianpeizi/huidouzi/liangpi/milk egg laozao. ❌ "Luxury beef noodles" for 30 yuan near the train station/Zhongshan Bridge, viral stinky tofu and grilled squid at Zhengning Road, taxi drivers recommending "chartered cars to shopping spots," and fruit platters or oysters at night markets. 🚇 Transportation Zhongchuan Airport → Downtown: Intercity train/high-speed rail for about 20 yuan; don't blindly pay 200+. In the city: Metro Line 1 + bus + shared bikes; don't rent the black tricycles by the Yellow River. Water bus is 3 yuan (check their official WeChat account for morning/evening peak schedules before you go); it’s 10 times better than the cruise. Only choose official docks for sheepskin rafts; don't get on with unofficial solicitors. 🏨 Where to Stay ✅ Xiguan Cross, Zhangye Road, Nanguan, Lanzhou West Station: Chain hotels 150–260, hostels 60–100. ✅ Stay in Xiguan if you want to photograph the Yellow River night view; don't stay near the airport. ❌ "River view homestays" at Zhongshan Bridge have a markup; rooms facing the street at Zhengning Road (barbecue noise until 2 AM). 💰 3 Days (Excluding long-distance travel) Budget version: 450–600/person (beef noodles 8r, night market 50r, free museum, hostel). Comfort version: 800–1,100/person (proper hand-grabbed lamb at Nanguan + Water Ink Danxia + chain hotels). Luxury version: 1,400+/person (Yellow River Tower night tour + river view room + chartered car for Danxia). Lanzhou’s romance is rugged: A bowl of beef noodles in the morning mist, A 3-yuan water bus ride that feels like a blockbuster movie, The moment the streetlights turn on at Baita Mountain, The sizzle of barbecue at Nanguan— "The Northwest isn't expensive; you just shouldn't pay 'tuition fees' in the tourist zones."

I went to Lanzhou with Xiaoshui this time to experience a different side of Northwest China. Besides tasting authentic beef noodles and pulled noodles, we also checked out a super unique hotel near Zhongchuan Airport—Qiyunju Holiday Hotel. Today, I'll take you through our travel diary to see the charm of this hotel! 🎉✈️ 🌟 Picturesque views that soothe the soul 🌿 When we first checked in, we opened the window and were immediately struck by the view. In the distance were rolling mountains, and nearby was a quiet town; every moment felt like a carefully painted picture. Especially in the morning, with sunlight spilling onto the windowsill and birds chirping, it felt like being embraced by nature, and my mood was exceptionally relaxed. Waking up every day, I could feel a sense of peace and beauty. 💑 Cozy and comfortable family room, thoughtful details ❤️ We stayed in a family room, which was spacious and warmly decorated. The room not only had a large bed but also a small sofa area, perfect for couples or families. It's worth mentioning that the shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel smelled amazing, making it feel as comfortable as being at home. Xiaoshui also mentioned that the handrails in the hallways and on the stairs were thoughtfully designed, making us feel safe and secure. 📸 Perfect for photos, capturing beautiful moments 📷 For those of us who love taking photos, this hotel is a photography paradise. Whether it's the decor inside the room or the scenery outside the window, every corner is perfect for a great shot. Especially at dusk, when the sun sets and golden light spills into the room, that warm feeling is hard to put into words. Every time I look back at these photos, I'm reminded of those wonderful times. 🏓 Rich entertainment facilities, endless fun 🏆 The hotel's table tennis room was a place we visited every day. Although Xiaoshui isn't a table tennis pro, she always had a blast playing. There was also some fitness equipment next to the table tennis table; working out occasionally is a great way to relax and stay energized. In addition, the facilities around the hotel are very convenient, making it easy to get to both Lanzhou New Area Station and Zhongchuan Airport. In short, our experience at Qiyunju Holiday Hotel left a deep impression on us. Whether it was the comfortable room, the beautiful scenery, or the thoughtful service, we were very satisfied. If you're planning a trip to Lanzhou, consider this hotel—I believe you'll be in for a pleasant surprise! 😉

📍Basic Info Beautiful Pastoral = 5.3 km Rainbow Road (popular flower-lined road), free, primarily for photos, no amusement facilities Qindong Ecological Farm = The comprehensive farm nearby; picking, cute pets, amusement, dining, and accommodation are all available here ✅Navigation Tips: 1. Just want to photograph the flower fields: Navigate to the Beautiful Pastoral Agricultural Observation Deck (Rainbow Road); admission and parking are free 2. Full family experience: Navigate directly to Qindong Ecological Farm; you can visit the flower fields on the way 🚗Transportation Guide 1. Driving (recommended) About 50–60 minutes from downtown Lanzhou; take the Shuiqin Expressway. Temporary parking is available along the Rainbow Road, and the farm has a free parking lot. 2. Public transport Take the intercity high-speed train from Lanzhou West Station to Qinwangchuan Station, then take a 10-minute taxi ride to the flower fields/farm. 🌼Flowering Period Reference (Very Important) · Sunflowers: Late July–late August, vast golden flower fields · Marigolds: August–September, orange-yellow patches of color, stunning for aerial photography In October, the fields are mainly autumn crops and the flowers have mostly faded. It's suitable for pastoral autumn photos, but not for flower viewing. ✨What to do in the two main areas ① Beautiful Pastoral Rainbow Road (for photos only, no admission fee) · 5.3 km of colorful road; the road is flat with little traffic, perfect for cycling, skateboarding, and walking · Photo spot: The small hill at the Agricultural Observation Deck. Stand on the slope for an overhead view of the Rainbow Road and the vast fields—it's the ultimate spot for aerial photography · Golden hour for photos: 4:30 PM–sunset for soft light; try to avoid the harsh midday sun · Outfits: Light colors, light blue, or white dresses. Avoid yellow, as you'll blend into the sunflowers. A hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen are essential, as the UV rays in the Northwest are very strong. ⚠️Please do not trample the crops in the flower fields; photos from the roadside or observation deck are beautiful enough. ② Qindong Ecological Farm (great for families, some activities require a fee) ✅Must-do list: 1. Greenhouse picking: Cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and baby cucumbers. Charged by the box; children can see the crops up close 2. Petting zoo: Alpacas, lambs, ponies, and rabbits. You can feed the animals—a top choice for families 3. Non-motorized playground: Rainbow slide, straw maze, and fun rock climbing—kids can play here for hours 4. Campsite: Bring your own gear, or rent a canopy or small courtyard. Barbecuing and tea around the stove are available—perfect for team building and gatherings 5. Accommodation: Starry sky cabins and courtyard homestays are available. Stay the night after playing to watch the stars Admission to the farm is free; picking, animal feeding, and amusement activities require separate tickets. Group deals are more cost-effective. 🗓️Two Itinerary Options Option A | One-day family trip (highly recommended) 10:00 AM Arrive at Qindong Ecological Farm, greenhouse picking + feed the animals 12:30 PM Lunch at a farm courtyard (iron pot stew, local farm dishes) 2:00 PM Burn off energy at the non-motorized playground, play on the rainbow slide and in the maze 4:30 PM Drive a few minutes to the Beautiful Pastoral Rainbow Road to take photos of the flower fields at sunset 6:30 PM Return trip; if you want to stay overnight, you can book a starry sky cabin at the farm. Option B | Photo-focused trip (for young people) Arrive at the Rainbow Road after 4:00 PM, take panoramic photos from the hillside observation deck, and walk or cycle along the Rainbow Road. Return home after taking photos; no need to enter the farm. 🍚Where to eat 1. Several courtyards inside Qindong Farm: Ersan Courtyard, Dingxiang Courtyard. They serve iron pot stew, earth pot chicken, and local farm dishes. Some courtyards allow barbecuing (⚠️ a venue fee may be charged if you bring your own grill; please call ahead to confirm). 2. If you don't want to eat at the farm: You can go to the nearby Zhongchuan Qingyun Station. It has farm courtyards, an intangible cultural heritage museum, and go-karts. There are more options, and admission is also free. ⚠️Tips to avoid pitfalls 1. The Beautiful Pastoral Rainbow Road is a public road! Do not stand in the middle of the road to take photos. Watch out for oncoming traffic—safety first. 2. The flower fields are farmers' crops. It is strictly forbidden to step into the fields. Photos from the roadside observation deck are beautiful enough. 3. Farm barbecue: You can bring your own ingredients, but most places charge a venue fee if you bring your own grill. Be sure to call and clarify the fee rules before booking to avoid disputes on-site. 4. The temperature difference between day and night in the Northwest is large, so bring a light jacket even in summer. Sunscreen, a hat, and mosquito repellent are essential. 5. Flowering periods vary slightly each year depending on the weather. Check recent photos from other travelers before you go to avoid disappointment. 💡Suitable for ✅ Families with children, weekend family trips; ✅ Photography and aerial photography enthusiasts; ✅ Friends camping and picnicking; ✅ Short one-day micro-vacations.

You can travel for National Day without taking leave. A 2-day weekend getaway is easy. 01 Wuhan | Hubei If you want a packed 2-day weekend, Wuhan is the kind of city where "you can't go wrong no matter where you walk." 🚄 Take the high-speed train to Hankou Station, then take Metro Line 2 directly into the city. Don't take a taxi; if you get stuck in traffic crossing the river, you'll regret it. ⏰ Go to Yellow Crane Tower Park at 7:30 AM to get there before the tour groups. To be honest, the tower itself is a reconstruction, but standing on the top floor looking at the skyline of the Yangtze River Bridge and the old Wuchang city is worth the price of admission. ⚠️ Remember to book in advance via the official WeChat account; the on-site queue will make you want to cry. Save the afternoon for East Lake. Don't try to do the whole thing; just cycling a section of the greenway from Liyuan to Moshan is enough. 📍 The section of Huzhong Road with the sycamore tree shadows is the most comfortable, perfect for strolling slowly with elderly family members. If you want to take photos, go in the evening; the light is as soft as a filter. If you have half a day left, the Huangpi Mulan Cultural Ecological Tourism Zone is great for families, and Songyang Temple is good if you want a quiet walk. My verdict: For your first time in Wuhan, Yellow Crane Tower plus East Lake is just right for 2 days. Don't overpack your itinerary. 02 Baiyin | Gansu The most stress-free way is to take the intercity train from Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport to Baiyin, then hire a car to the Yellow River Stone Forest. 🚄 Don't count on public transport; the frequency is so low you'll just be standing by the road in a daze. The Yellow River Stone Forest is one of those places where photos don't capture even a tenth of its grandeur. ⏰ Enter the valley after 4:00 PM; the light hits the stone pillars at an angle, making the whole canyon look like it's on fire. You can choose between a donkey cart or a go-kart. I chose the donkey cart—it's slow, but the lady driving it will tell you what each rock looks like. For accommodation, I recommend staying at a farmhouse in Longwan Village right at the entrance to the scenic area, so you can enter again early the next morning. ⚠️ There isn't much food in the village at night, so bring some snacks. It's walkable for both the elderly and children, but don't wear white shoes; the sand gets everywhere. This place is perfect for those who want to avoid the crowds. It's much more relaxed than popular tourist spots during the National Day holiday, and a 2-day round trip is plenty. 03 Fuzhou | Fujian Fuzhou is an underrated weekend destination. 🚄 Take the high-speed train to Fuzhou Station, then Metro Line 1 to Dongjiekou. Once you exit, you can walk right into the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. Don't just walk down Nanhou Street in the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys; that street is for tourists. 📍 Turn into Ta Lane or Huang Lane; there's almost no one under the white walls and black tiles, so you won't have to wait to take photos. ⏰ The alleys are quietest before 9:00 AM, and the light sliding down the curves of the saddle-shaped walls is very gentle. 🍜 For food, Tongli Rouyan and Yonghe Fish Balls are nearby, but I recommend turning onto Macao Road to find guobianhu (pot-edge paste). It's CNY 5 a bowl and incredibly fresh. Don't buy fish balls on the main street; they're expensive and average. Staying at a homestay around the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys is most convenient, and you can go for a walk at night. ⚠️ Some teahouses in the alleys are tourist traps, so ask for prices before ordering. Fuzhou is perfect for a slow stroll; 2 days is not rushed. 04 Lijiang | Yunnan The key to a weekend trip to Lijiang is prioritizing. Don't try to do the Ancient Town, Snow Mountain, Black Dragon Pool, and Mufu all at once, or you'll be too tired to speak. My suggestion: Day 1, Ancient Town and Mufu; Day 2, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. ⏰ Lijiang Ancient Town at 7:00 AM is what it's really like—the stone paths are damp, and the shops haven't opened yet. 📍 Walk from the Big Water Wheel toward Wuyi Street to avoid the noise of the bar street. Mufu is worth entering; climb to the back hill for a bird's-eye view of the entire ancient town's rooftops. You need to grab tickets for the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cable car in advance. ⚠️ Don't trust the people on the side of the road offering "guaranteed trips to the summit"; many are scams to get you to buy oxygen and down jackets. Black Dragon Pool Park is best visited in the evening to photograph the reflection of the snow mountain, but it depends on the weather. Stay at a guesthouse on the edge of the ancient town; don't stay next to the bar street, or the noise will keep you awake at night. It's suitable for couples and photography enthusiasts, but be cautious if bringing elderly family members—the altitude is no joke. 05 Shenzhen | Guangdong For a 2-day weekend in Shenzhen, I suggest one day at the beach and one day in the city—don't try to do too much. 🚄 Metro Line 8 goes directly to Dameisha; it's just a short walk from the station to the sea. ⏰ Arrive before 8:00 AM; the beach is less crowded, and the sea breeze is still cool. Dameisha is free, but you need to book during peak season. ⚠️ Don't go in the afternoon; it's so crowded you'll wonder if you're being packed like dumplings. If you want peace and quiet, take a taxi to Beizaijiao; there are many reefs there, perfect for zoning out. On the second day, go to Window of the World and OCT. To be honest, the ticket for Window of the World isn't cheap. If you aren't obsessed with miniature landscapes, you can skip it and save your time for the OCT Creative Culture Park. 📍 The creative park has markets on weekends, and the cafes and small shops are quite interesting. Mission Hills is suitable for those who want to play golf or soak in hot springs, but it's out of the way, so don't bother if you don't have a car. Shenzhen is perfect for young people to just get up and go; the transportation is so convenient. 06 Benxi | Liaoning Benxi is a hidden gem for viewing red leaves during the National Day holiday. 🚄 Take the high-speed train to Benxi Station, then it's about a 40-minute taxi ride to Benxi Water Cave. ⚠️ The inside of the water cave is a constant 12°C; if you go in wearing short sleeves, you'll be shivering, so bring a jacket. The boat ride in the water cave is indeed unique, but the queue can be 2 hours long. ⏰ I suggest rushing in as soon as it opens. In the afternoon, go to Guanmenshan National Forest Park. In early October, the leaves are just starting to change color, with red, yellow, and green mixed together, which has more depth than just pure red. Huanren Wunv Mountain is suitable for the second day; climbing up gives you a view of Huanlong Lake with a wide field of vision. 📍 The mountain path is a bit steep, so be careful if you have bad knees. Staying in downtown Benxi is fine; have a bowl of Xiaoshi lamb soup in the evening to warm up. This place is suitable for self-driving or hiring a car, as the attractions are not close to each other. 2 days is just right; don't drag it out to 3. 07 Yinchuan | Ningxia You can have a wild weekend in Yinchuan. 🚄 Fly to Yinchuan Hedong Airport, and a taxi into the city costs about CNY 40. Spend the first day around the city and the second day heading toward Helan Mountain. ⏰ In the morning, go to Mingcui Lake National Wetland Park; there are many water birds in the reed marshes, perfect for teaching children about plants. For lunch, have a bowl of lamb sazi noodles. 🍜 The hand-grabbed lamb at Laomao Shouzhua is also worth trying, but don't order too much; the portions are generous. In the afternoon, go to the Helan Mountain Rock Art. 📍 The patterns carved into the stones are smaller than you'd imagine, so you have to get close to see them. ⚠️ The scenic area is windy, so hold onto your hat. The Western Xia Imperial Tombs are not far away and can be visited on the way, but if you aren't interested in history, just take some photos from the outside. Lingwu Shuidonggou is suitable for those who like hiking; the hidden soldier caves and canyons are quite interesting. Yinchuan is perfect for people who want to see some different scenery, and a 2-day pace is just right. 08 Zunyi | Guizhou I only recommend one place in Zunyi: Chishui Danxia Tourist Area. 🚄 It takes about 2 hours to drive there from downtown Zunyi; I suggest hiring a car or driving yourself, as public transport is too much of a hassle. Chishui Danxia is most famous for Foguangyan and Sidonggou. ⏰ It's best to go after the rain; the waterfalls have a large volume of water, and the red rock walls are wrapped in water vapor, like a painting that hasn't dried yet. 📍 There are many steps at Foguangyan, so climb slowly and don't rush. ⚠️ There are few food options in the scenic area, so bring your own water and snacks. Sidonggou is suitable for bringing elderly family members and children; the path is flat, and the whole way is lined with bamboo forests and waterfalls. October in Chishui is neither cold nor hot, so wearing a light jacket is just right. Stay in downtown Chishui and have a meal of bamboo shoots and cured meat in the evening. This place is suitable for those who want to see landscapes without being crowded, and a 2-day round trip is worth it.

📍Location: Lanzhou · Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden Who would have thought that a kingdom of ancient pear trees spanning centuries is hidden along the banks of the Yellow River! This is the world's first ancient pear garden, where thousands of acres of old pear trees have taken root, with the oldest trees being several hundred years old. Every spring, thousands of pear trees bloom in unison, covering the mountains and plains in white like snow, intertwining with the Yellow River and distant mountains—it is captivating at first glance. Walking into the park, huge wooden waterwheels stand quietly, creating an iconic Shichuan photo op when framed with the pear blossoms. Looking out from a high vantage point, the Yellow River winds through, and the entire valley is blanketed in a sea of white flowers, stretching to the distant loess hills—magnificent yet gentle. There is more to the Ancient Pear Garden than just flowers. Along the bluestone streets, thick, ancient pear trees form a canopy overhead, their branches laden with clusters of pear blossoms. You can camp and rest under the trees, set up a tent, and sit under the century-old trees to drink tea and chat. When the wind blows, pear blossoms flutter down—the atmosphere is absolutely perfect. There are also uniquely shaped old tree root carvings, wishing trees, and antique courtyards, with red lanterns dotted among the pear blossom branches. Every snapshot looks like a stunning traditional Chinese-style photo. ✅Travel Tips ▪️Best time to visit: Every April, when the pear blossoms are in full bloom ▪️Outfit advice: Light-colored clothing, which looks great against the white pear blossoms ▪️Picnicking and camping are allowed in the park, and there are tea seating areas where you can sit and rest when you are tired of walking ▪️We recommend setting aside at least half a day to stroll slowly; climbing to a high point offers the best panoramic view

Don't want to deal with the National Day crowds? These 8 niche cities are the ultimate autumn hidden gems. 01 Lanzhou | Gansu Heading northwest for National Day, Lanzhou is often treated as a transit stop where people stay one night and leave. I advise you to stay for two days. ⏰ Go to the time-honored Mogouyan Beef Noodles at 7:00 AM. The people in line are mostly locals; tourists don't start pouring in until after 8:00 AM. When ordering, ask for "erxi" (thin noodles), add chili oil separately, and remember the soup is more precious than the noodles. After eating, walk along the Yellow River to the Zhongshan Bridge. Across the bridge is Baita Mountain Park. The steps aren't steep, and you can reach the base of the White Pagoda in 20 minutes for a bird's-eye view of the Yellow River flowing through the city. 📍 You must book the Provincial Museum in advance. It's closed on Mondays, so don't waste a trip. The real "Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow" is on the second floor. ⚠️ The Zhengning Road Night Market is packed after 6:00 PM. If you want to eat comfortably, go at 5:30 PM. For the milk egg sweet fermented rice, look for the old Ma's stall—don't buy from the first one you see. 🚄 The intercity high-speed train from Zhongchuan Airport to the city takes 40 minutes, saving half the time compared to a taxi. It's suitable for traveling with elderly family members. It's windy by the Yellow River, so bring a jacket. 02 Baise | Guangxi Autumn in Baise is quiet, but Haokun Lake will show you its true colors. ⏰ Arrive at Haokun Lake before 10:00 AM. The water is calm, the reflections are clearest, and the boat ride to the center of the lake feels like gliding into a painting. Tongling Grand Canyon is best visited in the afternoon. It's cool in the canyon, and you'll get soaked standing under the waterfall for 3 minutes, so bring quick-dry clothing. 📍 The Chengbi Lake loop road is great for cycling. You can rent bikes next to the dam parking lot and ride half the loop in 2 hours. 🍜 Try the rolled rice noodles on Wenming Street in the city for breakfast—they're 2 yuan each and come with yellow peel sauce. ⚠️ There are many steps in Tongling Grand Canyon, so don't push yourself if you have bad knees. If you take a sedan chair, negotiate the price beforehand. Baise isn't a popular destination during National Day, and hotel prices are significantly lower than in Nanning, making it perfect for those on a budget who still want to see beautiful scenery. 🚄 A taxi from Baise Station to Haokun Lake takes about 1 hour; carpooling is more cost-effective. 03 Huizhou | Guangdong Huizhou is the backyard garden hidden by Shenzhen residents, so it's not as crazy during National Day. ⏰ People start exercising at Huizhou West Lake at 6:00 AM. There are few tourists on the Su Causeway, and the light hits the Sizhou Pagoda at an angle, so you don't have to fight for a photo spot. Luofu Mountain is worth a full day. After taking the cable car up, you still need to walk 40 minutes to Feiyun Peak. It's windy at the summit, so bring a windbreaker. 📍 The sand at Xunliao Bay is fine, but it gets crowded during National Day. I suggest going in the evening—the sunset is 10 times better than at noon. 🍜 Try the "Ama" stuffed tofu in Qiaodong Market. Locals have been eating it since childhood, and you can eat your fill for 20 yuan per person. ⚠️ Buy tickets for Luofu Mountain and the cable car separately. Online package deals are 20 yuan cheaper, but pay attention to the usage times. It's great for couples and families; you can easily push a stroller around the West Lake, and Xunliao Bay has shallow water areas. 🚄 A taxi from Huizhou North Station to West Lake takes about 25 minutes. 04 Bortala | Xinjiang You might not recognize the name Bortala, but you've definitely seen photos of Sayram Lake. ⏰ It's cold enough to wear a down jacket at Sayram Lake during National Day. Arrive at the lake before 8:00 AM; morning mist clings to the water, and there are more swans than tourists. 📍 Anjihai Grand Canyon is closer if you're coming from Kuitun. There are no railings on the edge of the canyon, so don't stand too far back when taking photos—the wind is strong enough to push you. The mountains and waters of Wenquan County are golden in autumn, perfect for soaking in hot springs after walking along the boardwalk. 🍜 Try the naan-pit meat and milk tea in Bole city—any place you walk into will be good, averaging 40 yuan per person. ⚠️ The speed limit on the Sayram Lake loop road is strict, so don't think about speeding; the interval speed cameras are very accurate. It's great for road trips and photography, but accommodation by the lake is in high demand during National Day, so book a month in advance. 🚄 It's about a 1.5-hour drive from Bole Station to Sayram Lake. 05 Nanping | Fujian Nanping's main attraction is Wuyi Mountain, but don't just focus on Tianyou Peak during National Day. ⏰ Take the first bamboo raft on the Nine-Bend Stream at 7:30 AM. The light is soft, the water is calm, and the boatman will tell stories along the way. In the afternoon, head to the "Rock Bone and Flower Fragrance" roaming path near the Dahongpao mother trees. It's less crowded, the tea fields are layered, and it's an easy walk. 📍 Song Street next to Wuyi Palace is great for an evening stroll. Whether you buy tea or not, drink 3 cups before deciding. 🍜 For Zixi noodles and Langgu smoked goose in the resort area, locals recommend eating on the old street—it's 30% cheaper than in the scenic area. ⚠️ There's a 2-hour wait to climb Tianyou Peak during National Day. If you're with elderly family members, skip it and go to Taoyuan Cave instead. It's perfect for hikers and tea lovers. You must book the Nine-Bend Stream bamboo raft 3 days in advance; there are basically no tickets available on-site. 🚄 A taxi from Wuyi Mountain North Station to the scenic area takes about 20 minutes. 06 Mudanjiang | Heilongjiang Autumn in Mudanjiang is short, but the Diaoshuilou Waterfall at Jingpo Lake is worth the trip. ⏰ Arrive at Jingpo Lake at 10:00 AM. The waterfall's water volume is smaller than in summer, but the water is clearer. A walk around the boardwalk by the pool takes 40 minutes. In the afternoon, head back to the city. The park along the Mudanjiang River is great for a stroll. The river breeze is cool, so wearing a thin down jacket isn't an exaggeration. 📍 The Maogong Mountain viewing platform in the Jingpo Lake scenic area has a great angle for sunset, but there are no streetlights on the way down, so you must leave before 5:00 PM. 🍜 Try the Korean-style cold noodles and rice cakes on Dongyi Pedestrian Street in the city. It's 15 yuan per person, and the cold noodle soup is full of ice chips. ⚠️ The Jingpo Lake cruise has long lines during National Day. If you want to save time, just visit the waterfall and the Underground Forest. It's perfect for people who like quiet autumn scenery. If you come the week after National Day, hotel prices are cut in half. 🚄 It's about a 1.5-hour drive from Mudanjiang Station to Jingpo Lake. 07 Yushu | Qinghai Yushu is for those who aren't afraid of a long journey. ⏰ You can't just enter Hoh Xil, but if you drive along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway to the Kunlun Mountain Pass, you can see Tibetan antelopes running in the distance. The morning light is good, so bring a telephoto lens. Parts of the Sanjiangyuan National Park are open, but you need to report in advance—don't just wander in. 📍 In the evening at Gesar King Square in Jiegu Town, locals dance the Guozhuang. Just stand to the side and watch; don't hold your phone up to their faces to film. 🍜 Try the yak yogurt and tsampa in Yushu city. You might not be used to the first bite, but it's delicious after adding sugar. ⚠️ The altitude is 3,700 meters. Don't shower or run around on the first day. If you have a headache, use oxygen—don't try to tough it out. It's suitable for road trippers with high-altitude experience. Accommodation options are limited during National Day, so book in advance. 🚄 Renting a car after landing at Yushu Batang Airport is the most convenient option. 08 Zhongwei | Ningxia Zhongwei is where the desert meets the Yellow River. During National Day, it's half as crowded as Shapotou is during peak season. ⏰ Get to Shapotou as soon as it opens at 8:00 AM. You won't have to wait in line for sand sliding or sheepskin rafts. Leave after 10:00 AM when the tour groups arrive. 📍 Gaomiao Temple is in the city. After 4:00 PM, the light shines through the halls, and you can see the details of the brick carvings clearly. It's free, but don't wear shorts inside. 🍜 Try the haozi noodles and stir-fried latiao around the Drum Tower. Locals eat this for lunch, and it's 20 yuan per person. ⚠️ Don't buy the full package for Shapotou activities. Just choose one between sand sliding and the Yellow River zipline. Riding a camel for 15 minutes is enough. It's great for families; there's an elevator to the dunes in the desert area, so you don't have to climb. 🚄 A taxi from Zhongwei South Station to Shapotou takes about 30 minutes. These 8 places are perfect for National Day. Which one do you want to visit first?

Before I went, I thought Lanzhou was just "a bowl of noodles + a river," but after staying for 3 days, the amount I spent each day made me question reality. Even crazier, if you're a freshman who just started college in Lanzhou this year, you get free admission to 3 core scenic spots—I'm honestly so jealous of this deal 😅 I. Budget reference (3 days, 2 nights) Total cost: 600–900 CNY/person (excluding long-distance transportation) Accommodation: 100–150 CNY/night, 200–300 CNY for 2 nights. Beef noodles: 8–12 CNY. Night market: 30–50 CNY per person. 3-day dining: 150–200 CNY. Subway + bus: under 10 CNY/day. Tickets: Zhongshan Bridge, White Pagoda Mountain, and the Gansu Provincial Museum are all free. Water-Ink Danxia is free for new students at Lanzhou universities until Oct 31, saving about 80 CNY. Reserve 100–200 CNY for flexible spending. II. Free admission for freshmen (important!) 🎓 Freshmen admitted to Lanzhou universities in the fall of 2026 (specialty, undergraduate, or graduate programs) can visit 3 core scenic spots for free until Oct 31 with their admission letter or student ID: Water-Ink Danxia, Lanzhou Wildlife Park, and Yellow River Tower. Note: This only covers the main admission ticket; sightseeing buses and amusement rides require separate payment. Freshmen get 30% off the "Dancing Horse Danxia" show at Water-Ink Danxia. Remember to bring your ID and admission letter to Water-Ink Danxia; the scenic area has a student green channel and information desk, and verification is fast. I recommend going to the Wildlife Park early; it's large, and it takes at least half a day to see everything. The Yellow River Tower is best visited in the evening; see it during the day and stay for the Yellow River night view—two experiences in one trip. For scenic spots that require reservations, book in advance via their official WeChat account, and bring your documents (keep a digital copy as well). III. Best time for autumn foliage 🍂 Mid-October to early November is the golden window. Xinglong Mountain red leaves are best from late September to mid-October; Shifogou is most beautiful in mid-October. Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden has peak red leaves from late October to early November. The ginkgo avenue at the Botanical Garden turns fully yellow from late October to early November. IV. Transportation guide 🚇 Zhongchuan Airport → City center: Take the intercity train to Zhongchuan Airport East Station; departing from Lanzhou West is the fastest at 38 minutes. High-speed rail arrival: Lanzhou West Station has a direct line on Subway Line 1 to Xiguan Cross, 25 minutes to Zhongshan Bridge. Getting around the city: Subway Line 1 covers 90% of major attractions. Choose accommodation within 800m of a subway station and use shared bikes; daily transportation costs will be under 10 CNY. To Water-Ink Danxia: It's about 60km from the city center. You can take a dedicated bus or book a ride-share in advance. Driving yourself is not recommended due to complex mountain roads. V. Hidden gem attractions 📍 1. Water-Ink Danxia: Autumn looks like a flowing oil painting. The light is best from 3–5 PM; be sure to wait at the sunset viewing platform. Free admission for freshmen until Oct 31. 2. Luojiu Highway: A hiking route on the North Mountain. In autumn, the Boston ivy turns completely red, and the trail is flat and easy to walk. 3. Santai Pavilion: On top of Lanshan Mountain, free panoramic city views. The lights at dusk are spectacular. 4. Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden: In late October, the red leaves are stunning; perfect for a leisurely stroll and photos. 5. Yellow River Tower: One of the free attractions for freshmen. The top viewing platform offers a bird's-eye view of the Yellow River flowing through the city; best visited in the evening. VI. 3-day itinerary 🗓️ Day 1: Yellow River Mother Sculpture → Zhongshan Bridge → White Pagoda Mountain Park → Gansu Provincial Museum. Book the museum 3 days in advance via their official account; it's closed on Mondays. The highlight is the Silk Road Civilization Exhibition on the 2nd floor. Day 2: Water-Ink Danxia → Lanzhou Old Street → Santai Pavilion. Leave for Danxia in the morning; the light is best from 3–5 PM. Freshmen, remember to bring your admission letter for free entry. Go to Santai Pavilion in the evening for the night view. Day 3: Hike Luojiu Highway → Enjoy autumn at Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden or the Botanical Garden → Finish at Zhengning Road Night Market. VII. Food recommendations 🍜 Beef noodles: Don't eat near Zhongshan Bridge; find them in residential areas. Jinqiang, Mugouyan, and Guoyi are popular with locals. Zhengning Road Night Market: Try the milk egg fermented glutinous rice at Old Ma's in the alley, 12 CNY a bowl, topped with raisins and crushed peanuts. Carbohydrate Cross: At the intersection of Renmin North Road and Dujiatai Road in Chengguan District, there are 6 beef noodle shops within a few hundred meters. Other must-eats: Sweet fermented glutinous rice (tianpeizi), gray bean soup, liangpi (cold noodles), and hand-grabbed lamb. Fangha Milk Tea's sweet fermented glutinous rice flavor is a Lanzhou specialty. VIII. Accommodation recommendations 🏨 Top choice: Around Xizhan Cross. Chain hotels are 120–200 CNY/night, along Subway Line 1. Alternative: Dongfanghong Square to Nanguan Cross. Apartment rentals are 80–150 CNY/night, a 10-minute walk to Zhengning Road Night Market. Avoid: Don't choose hostels recommended by people holding signs at the train station exit. Check reviews from the last 3 months when booking, focusing on hygiene, hot water, and soundproofing. IX. Clothing advice 🧥 In October–November, Lanzhou is 18–23°C during the day and 3–10°C at night, with a temperature difference of up to 15°C. Layering is key: inner layer of cotton T-shirt, middle layer of sweater or fleece, outer layer of windbreaker. Choose sneakers, as you'll be walking mountain paths to see the autumn foliage. Bring a scarf and hat; it's windy on Lanshan Mountain and in the suburbs. X. Tips to avoid pitfalls ⚠️ 1. Don't buy souvenirs near Zhongshan Bridge; the same items are twice as expensive as in the city. 2. Don't follow the crowd to take expensive Yellow River cruises; sheepskin raft rides are about 50 CNY per person if you join a group on-site. 3. Driving to Water-Ink Danxia is not recommended; taking the scenic area's sightseeing bus is more worry-free. Don't trust scalpers at the entrance claiming to offer "skip-the-line" access. 4. Book the Gansu Provincial Museum 3 days in advance; it's closed on Mondays. 5. Taxi starting fare is 10 CNY; ride-hailing apps are more transparent. Don't take unlicensed taxis at scenic spot entrances. 6. Freshmen, remember to bring all required documents for free admission. Sightseeing bus fees are charged separately; don't arrive at the entrance only to realize you forgot your admission letter. Lanzhou is truly an underrated king of cost-effectiveness. Autumn is the perfect time to visit—not too cold, not too hot, and you get a great experience for less money. Freshmen starting college in Lanzhou this year, don't waste the free admission to the 3 major scenic spots before Oct 31. My biggest takeaway after 3 days: travel doesn't have to be expensive.

Honestly, before I left, I was debating whether to skip Lanzhou and head straight to my next stop. After arriving, I was proven so wrong 😭 It's not just a transit stop; it's a severely underrated treasure of a city in the Northwest! With the Yellow River flowing through the city, the aroma of carbs on every street, and a slow, relaxed vibe, 3 days is just the right amount of time. I've compiled all the essential tips below 👇 🚗 Transportation tips Don't take illegal taxis when you land at Zhongchuan Airport! Prioritize the intercity high-speed train; it costs 17–20 yuan and takes 40 minutes to reach Lanzhou West Station directly, which is faster and cheaper than the bus. In the city, rely mainly on Metro Line 1, which connects the Gansu Provincial Museum, Xiguan Cross, and Lanzhou West Station. Riding a shared bike along the Yellow River Scenic Line is super comfortable, and the river breeze is incredibly healing. To cross the river, choose the 3-yuan water bus; it's much more cost-effective than a cruise. The Lanzhou Shuimo Danxia Scenic Area is about 35 km from the city center. You can carpool or book a legitimate half-day small group tour to save worry and avoid tourist traps. 🏨 Accommodation tips Lock in a stay near Xiguan Cross–Zhangye Road in Chengguan District! You'll have food streets right downstairs, it's just a few minutes' walk to Zhongshan Bridge, and it's close to the metro, making it convenient to go anywhere. Budget chains are about 180–350 yuan/night. For more atmosphere, choose a river-view homestay along the Yellow River for 300–500 yuan. If you're catching a high-speed train, stay around Lanzhou West Station; you can get a room for 150–280 yuan, and it's a 10-minute metro ride to the city center. 💰 Budget reference (3 days, 2 nights, excluding round-trip transportation) About 800–1,100 yuan per person is enough to have a comfortable trip! Accommodation for two nights is 350–600 yuan, and you can eat until you're full for 80–120 yuan per day. Most city attractions are free. Only the Shuimo Danxia package (80 yuan) and experiences like cable cars/sheepskin rafts are paid as needed. City transportation costs just a few dozen yuan. The prices are really friendly. 🍜 Food checklist (don't just know about beef noodles!) · Beef noodles: Look for local, long-standing shops and order "meat and egg." This is the correct way for Lanzhou locals to enjoy it, and it tastes completely different from the "Lanzhou ramen" found elsewhere · Maye Milk Egg Fermented Glutinous Rice: A signature dish at Zhengning Road Night Market, warm, sweet, and not cloying · Hand-grabbed lamb with Sanpaotai tea: Not gamey and super tender; a bite of meat followed by a sip of tea is the perfect way to cut the grease · Sweet embryo milk tea, Masan potato chips, and liangpi (cold noodles): Just find any old shop in the alleys, and you're unlikely to be disappointed ✨ Must-visit recommendations ✅ Gansu Provincial Museum: Be sure to book via their official WeChat account 3 days in advance! Closed on Mondays. Head straight for the viral Bronze Galloping Horse (Ma Ta Fei Yan). There are also tons of Silk Road artifacts that are great to explore ✅ Zhongshan Bridge: The century-old first bridge over the Yellow River! Come in the evening to wait for the sunset. After dark, when the lights turn on, the atmosphere is incredible, and it's super photogenic to catch the evening breeze on the bridge ✅ Baita Mountain Park: Right across from Zhongshan Bridge, and it's free! The view from the top overlooking the Yellow River and the entire city of Lanzhou is stunning ✅ Mother of the Yellow River Sculpture: You can reach it by strolling along Binhe Road. It's very iconic. Stop by a riverside tea stall to sit for a while along the way ✅ Shuimo Danxia: A palette overturned by God, with layers of colorful mountains. It looks amazing in photos on a sunny day 💡 Helpful tips ▫️ The temperature difference between day and night in the Northwest is large, so bring a light jacket even in autumn; the wind by the river is very cool ▫️ Try to book the Provincial Museum and popular experiences in advance so you don't make a wasted trip ▫️ There's a lot of good food at night markets, but you don't have to crowd into Zhengning Road; locals go to Dazhong Lane and Nanguan Night Market more often ▫️ Drink plenty of water and use sunscreen; the air is much drier than in the South I really urge everyone to stop treating Lanzhou as just a transit stop 🌬️ It doesn't have the crowds of over-commercialization; it has the surging Yellow River, steaming hot food, and a slow, unhurried city rhythm. Take 3 days to come here, eat meat to your heart's content, drink Sanpaotai tea, and take a walk along the Yellow River. You'll discover the unique romance of the Northwest; it's truly worth a trip just for this

Lanzhou's Baita Temple is truly the perfect place to daydream on a rainy day 🍃 The red-pillared ancient architecture is faintly visible through the rain and mist. The entire temple is enveloped in a hazy, poetic atmosphere. Leaning against the pillars, listening to the rain, watching raindrops fall from the eaves, my mind instantly finds peace 🏯 📍 Baita Mountain Park - Baita Temple Address: Inside Baita Mountain Park, north side of Zhongshan Bridge, Lanzhou, Gansu Province Opening hours: Year-round, 6:00 AM–9:30 PM If you're visiting Lanzhou, Baita Temple is a must-visit. Climb the mountain for a bird's-eye view of the entire city of Lanzhou. The Yellow River is exceptionally clear on rainy days. The distant Zhongshan Bridge is also super photogenic 📸 Recommended itinerary: ✅ Baita Mountain Park (1–2 hours) ✅ Zhongshan Bridge (within walking distance) ✅ Stroll and relax by the Yellow River I also want to recommend the [Crowne Plaza Lanzhou] where I stayed. Located at 1 Beibinhe East Road. The view from the room is incredible! You can look directly out over the Yellow River. The beef noodles at breakfast are absolutely delicious 🍜 I heard that the Shuimo Danxia is also worth visiting. It's in Xinghua Village, Shuping Town, Yongdeng County. It's just a bit far from the city center. I suggest setting aside a full day to explore it slowly 🎨 If you like marine life, you can also go to the Polar Ocean World. Located at 303 Jianxi East Road, Qilihe District. It's great for taking kids 🐬 Rainy days and ancient temples are a perfect match. Sitting quietly and daydreaming alone, this is the true meaning of travel ✨
