Before coming to Istanbul, there were many recommended places online. After my 3 days of experience, I have compiled the 8 most worthwhile hidden gems to visit! 1️⃣ Bosphorus Cruise (P1.7): This is the most worthwhile expense in Istanbul. It’s really romantic at dusk, with the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Galata all beginning to be bathed in the evening glow. Boarding location: Karakoy_Kadikoy Turyol, tickets cost 150 lira and can be bought on site. 2️⃣ Galata Tower Overlooking the Entire City (P6.9): Galata Tower is the highest point in the city center. The top offers a 360° unobstructed view with ever-changing scenery and architecture that is dazzling. 📍Galata Kulesi, 🎫30 euros, it’s recommended to queue an hour in advance. 3️⃣ Seaside Park to Experience the Relaxed Vibe of Turks (P5.10): This seaside park is very relaxing. Sitting on the grass watching the distant sea calms the restless heart. There is also a café nearby with good views and taste. 📍Sarayburnu. For those with more time and a desire for great photos, here are 5 more recommendations: 4️⃣ Bosphorus View Point Hilltop (P2.P8): Very few people here, you can overlook streets, the sea, bridges, and many colorful small houses. 🛕 The Galata Tower is considered a major symbol of Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷. Originally built as an observation tower on the highest point of the Galata Wall, it has now been transformed into an exhibition space and museum. 🔹 The tower is 63 meters high and has 10 floors. ❤️ I give this accommodation 5 stars, no deductions at all. Everything was perfect, from check-in to check-out. My family of three (parents and child) stayed here for 3 nights. We booked a ground floor room with 3 single beds for 7,100+ THB per night, including breakfast for 3, booked through Trip.com. It was the best value and most impressive experience. ❤️ The bedroom was very spacious. The 3 single beds provided by the hotel were clean, soft, and very comfortable. Each bed had a power outlet for charging devices, incredibly convenient. ❤️ The bathroom was surprisingly large. Everything was clean and new. There was even a jacuzzi in the corner! Shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion were all provided. Housekeeping changed the towels daily – I loved it! ❤️ The room had complete amenities: bottled water, coffee, tea, refrigerator, kettle, glasses, spoons, TV, and sofa – everything we needed was there without having to ask for anything extra. ❤️ Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room and made the beds beautifully. They changed the towels, hair towels, and bath towels, refilled the water (3 bottles per day), and emptied the trash. The room was spotless every day. ❤️ Breakfast was served in the basement, and the staff prepared and provided excellent service. They cooked our food fresh and served it hot. The food selection was excellent, with plenty of vegetables, fruits, bread, and nuts – enough to fill you up completely. ✅✅ If you're looking for accommodation that's as comfortable as home, I highly recommend this place. 🌸 The Hagia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul, a wonder of the world, is truly magnificent and beautiful both inside and out. We visited during a long holiday weekend, so the queues were incredibly long. Luckily, we had purchased our tickets online in advance, allowing us to access a shorter and faster queue. 🌸 The highlight is the Hagia Sophia's vibrant and beautiful architecture. Every angle is stunning. It's no wonder that everyone visiting Istanbul must see this place. 🚩🚩 Important rules to remember: Women must wear a headscarf and not wear short clothing, while men must wear modest long trousers and no shorts. ⭕️ Ticket price for 3 adults = 3,380.07 THB ✅✅ We recommend purchasing tickets online in advance through Trip.com or other apps for greater convenience than buying them at the entrance. Because the amount of hot spring water has decreased in recent years, the authorities implement "planned water supply." This is why you often see Pamukkale with only dry white terraces. I suggest arriving outside the park early in the morning to wait for entry. If the weather is good, you might also catch the hot air balloons taking off! If your clockwise Turkey itinerary is Istanbul → Cappadocia → Pamukkale, I really recommend keeping the hot air balloon ride in Pamukkale as a "backup plan." If you miss the ride in Cappadocia, at least you can fulfill your wish to ride a hot air balloon in Turkey at Pamukkale! Moreover, Pamukkale is not just about the travertine terraces. Right next to it is the ancient city of Hierapolis, which includes: a large theater, ancient Roman baths, the Temple of Apollo, and a massive, very impressive necropolis. In summary, I think Pamukkale is still worth a visit. Even if you don’t encounter the sparkling water-filled terraces, the millennia-old white terraces are still stunningly beautiful 🥹
