The fortress is super close to Batumi, so it’s an easy little side trip if you’re in the area. The walls are huge and still standing strong, and once you're inside, there’s this big open grassy space perfect for just wandering around or plopping down for a chill moment. The whole vibe is peaceful, with old stone towers and palm trees randomly growing around. There’s some Roman history here too, supposedly even the tomb of one of the apostles! There are signs explaining things, but honestly, it’s just fun to roam, climb a few stairs, and take in the views. It’s not super crowded, which is a big win. If you’re into history but don’t wanna be stuck in a museum, this is your spot. Bring water, wear shades, and go soak up some ancient atmosphere!
