Grantham station was unexpectedly great. Have all the facilities and even a starbucks

We arrived about 30 minutes before check-in and were pleased to find our room ready. Parking was free, and the room was very spacious, featuring a large bathroom with both a shower and bath, plus his-and-hers sinks. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had booked the Sunday carvery beforehand, which was enjoyable—three courses for £25. The spa facilities were nice but unfortunately quite crowded, leaving no chairs or loungers available, which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was good with just the right amount of options.

I’ve recently found myself really enjoying travelling to the East Coast by train. I think I have a secret love of trains and a not so much of a secret love for the seaside.
