🥐 I stumbled upon an unexpectedly delicious bakery in the middle of Beijing's Drum Tower area 🇨🇳 While strolling around the Drum Tower (Gulou), I suddenly felt hungry, so I looked for a place to grab a snack and accidentally found MERDALLINE 麦德莲 英式烘焙小镇 (Drum Tower Flagship Store). Just seeing the storefront and the display case of pastries, I couldn't resist going in. It was filled with incredibly tempting Western-style breads and baked goods. This store is very close to the Drum Tower, making it convenient to stop by while exploring the area. And after trying them, I have to say… I was very surprised! 🥐✨ The bread and pastries here are exceptionally well-made. The aroma, crispness, and texture are amazing. Honestly, the taste made me forget I was in China. Personally, I think it's even better than many bakeries in Paris that I've tried (this is just my personal opinion 😊). Sometimes, travel isn't just about discovering beautiful places, but also finding "hidden gems" that weren't in the plan and become one of the best memories of the trip.
