Recently, I traveled to Seoul and noticed this newly opened hotel. Curious about the designer's aesthetic, I decided to stay there. This boutique hotel, full of design elements, is located in the vibrant Hongdae district. It's just a few minutes' walk from Hongdae Station, making it very convenient. The area is filled with great food, shopping, and nightlife options. The hotel's interior is stylish, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Some rooms offer views of Seoul's nightscape. The hotel also features high-quality restaurants, a café, and a gym, providing excellent facilities and attentive service. There are many aesthetically pleasing features within the hotel, such as the red spiral staircase chandelier, which is a popular photo spot among tourists.

Located in the alleys of Hongdae, Winters Village is a paradise full of Samoyeds that will definitely make you melt. Tickets are 12,000 won per person. There will be a simple introduction and instructions in Korean, English and Japanese before entering, and there is a limit on the number of people allowed to attend each show. The venue is divided into the first floor and the second floor, and you can choose your favorite area. When you first enter, the clerk will distribute some dry dog ​​food and let you interact with the Samoyeds. Then you will have some free time where you can play with the dogs, take photos, or just leisurely enjoy spending time with them. Although some people have commented online that the dogs here are lazy and don’t pay much attention to people, my experience that day was that the dogs would stay quietly and let you pet them, which was super therapeutic! Hang out with me at Hongdae, the most vibrant area for locals and tourists with its unique nightlife. The night scene here is very happening and you can get access to many clubs, restaurants and bars and sometime spot local celebrities here. Do remember to bring your passport with you to prove you are of legal age and some places do reject overage customers. The kpop scene here is almost similar to us and the club only get busy after 11pm. Dining at Pungcheon Grilled Eel in Hongdae, Seoul is a unique and delicious experience. The grilled eel here is completely different from the Japanese yakiniku eel. The Korean-style white yakiniku eel is grilled over charcoal fire. The skin is crispy and not greasy, while the inside retains a fresh and tender taste. Compared to the sweet and greasy sauce of Japanese yaki, Fengchuan’s eel is seasoned only with sea salt, allowing the natural sweetness of the fish to fully display  . The service staff will help you grill the eel professionally and recommend eating it with lettuce, shredded ginger and chives, which makes every bite more fresh and rich. Last year I visited South Korea and spent about 2 weeks in Seoul. The two-person set meal is priced at 35,000 Korean won, which is quite affordable. Therefore, many students are seen dining and drinking here. Even after 11 pm, there is a crowd, which seems to indicate a good reputation for the restaurant. Upon seating, we originally intended to order a portion of pork belly and pork neck meat (each portion is 15,000 Korean won for meat only). The proprietress suggested we order a set meal which, besides having a larger quantity of meat, also comes with a vegetable platter. We followed the proprietress's suggestion and ordered a barbecued pork set meal and added a bottle of soju and a bottle of beer. Additionally, we ordered a serving of pork and kimchi soup. The quantity of pork is quite generous, and the friendly sister will grill it at your table. You just need to enjoy the complimentary side dishes with soju and beer. Once the sister has finished grilling, you can enjoy the barbecue feast. Seoul's barbecue restaurants are considered good as long as there is a bit of a crowd and the taste is decent! The pork has a low gamey taste, and the fat is very rich. Side dishes and kimchi are grilled together! In addition to neutralizing the greasiness, it also allows the vegetables to absorb the aroma of the fat. However, due to the rent in Hongdae, the complimentary side dishes are relatively few, but they can be refilled.

Hongdae is not only for shopping but also offers a hipster space to chill and 'hea'. At NOUDIT Hongdae, there's an open-air space where you'll know you've arrived once you see the yellow mascot landmark! The weather was great that day, ☀️☀️🕶️ basking in the sunlight at the open plaza, enjoying the natural light. There's also a bookstore and a coffee shop ☕️ nearby.
