Try and stay centrally but consider that few hotels have independent parking but they will all have recommendations of local paid parking. We loved the Leonardo hotel, Nottingham. We were on floor 9 and there was a cracking concert going on over the road but don’t fear, the soundproofing was amazing. The Hungry Pumpkin was cosy but the staff were hugely inviting and the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious. There is plenty of stunning graffiti through Nottingham, especially by the university. The castle is worth a visit. It is magnificent but we personally loved the Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem Inn, located within the lower walls of the castle itself. The Inn is full of character and charm and even the lemonade and lime was top tier.

Whether you're chasing the legend of Robin Hood or just looking for a lively weekend getaway, Nottingham has something for every traveler. My adventure began at the Nottingham Castle, perched on a rocky outcrop with sweeping views of the city. Recently renovated, it now combines history with immersive exhibits and art. Just below the castle lies one of the city’s most unique attractions: the City of Caves. I explored a maze of man-made sandstone caves that date back centuries—some were used as air raid shelters, others as medieval tannery sites! Walking through the Lace Market district was like stepping back in time. Once the center of the world’s lace industry, it's now filled with boutique hotels, stylish cafés, and independent art spaces. The whole area buzzes with creativity and charm. For a deep dose of legend, I visited the Robin Hood statue and even took a walking tour dedicated to the tales of Nottingham’s most famous outlaw. It was fun, quirky, and surprisingly informative. Evenings were best spent along the Canal Side with its relaxed restaurants and bars. And for a touch of academia and architecture, I wandered around the University of Nottingham’s serene campus. Best Time to Visit: April to October is ideal for milder weather and outdoor exploration. Travel Tips: Most attractions are walkable from the city center. Don’t miss a pint at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, one of England’s oldest pubs. The tram system is quick and easy for getting around. Nottingham offers the perfect mix of historic intrigue, cozy spots, and modern flair. It’s definitely one of the UK’s underrated city gems—and one I’ll gladly visit again.

For me, a day in Nottingham is enough. I went to tourist places a day and the places can reach by walking without any bus or tramp… I didn’t went to Batman location but I think you need buy ticket transport to there… #travel #explore #international_student
