Jersey travel guide and discussion

#summerinonecut Who can resist ice cream? Especially in the UK summer—swelter but make it sweet! I’m obsessed with the unique soft-serves at Hotel Chocolat (yes, THAT chocolate icon 🙌), and I legit never skip them when I’m in town. Hold up, this isn’t your basic vanilla swirl. Their legendary soft-serve, Ice Cream of the Gods, is only found at select Velvetiser cafés across the UK (keep an eye out for the locations on Trip.com!). Trust me, it’s worth searching for. Here’s why this ice cream is next-level: 🍦Cacao Infusion: Forget boring dairy. They infuse rich Jersey Dairy milk and cream with crushed, roasted cacao nibs for 48 hours. That means the flavor is deep and dreamy—not just sweet. 🤤 Epic Flavor Profile: It hits you with a subtle malty cocoa taste and a cool taupe color. No fake chocolate syrup or powder overload—just flawless vibes. You HAVE to try my fave—the Billionaire’s Sundae. It’s a total flex: layered with gooey salted caramel and hazelnut sauces, crunchy milk crisp pearls, and crowned with a chunky billionaire’s shortbread piece. Every bite is 🤌. Pro tip: Find your nearest Velvetiser Café via Trip.com so you can chill out with Ice Cream of the Gods after sightseeing. Most cafés are open from 10am to 6pm, but always check ahead for exact hours and that drool-worthy Sundae availability! #thingstodo #hotdiscussions #localfood #afternoonteatime If you’re craving a summer treat that feels luxe and totally hits different, Hotel Chocolat’s ice cream game is where it’s at.

Tucked away in the English Channel, Jersey Island is a place where stunning coastlines, charming villages, and rich history come together to create an unforgettable escape. With its golden beaches, dramatic cliffs, and crystal-clear waters, Jersey feels worlds away from the bustle of everyday life. The moment I arrived, I was captivated by the island’s unique blend of British and French influences. From picturesque harbors and countryside lanes to historic castles and seaside cafés, every corner had its own charm. 🌊 One of the highlights was exploring the island’s spectacular coastline. Rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and sandy beaches offered breathtaking views at every turn, especially during low tide when vast stretches of shoreline were revealed. 🏰 Jersey is also rich in history. Walking through centuries-old fortifications and visiting the iconic Mont Orgueil Castle felt like stepping back in time while enjoying incredible sea views. 🌿 Beyond the coast, the island’s green countryside, colorful gardens, and peaceful walking trails made it a perfect destination for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. 📸 My favorite moment was watching the sunset over the Channel Islands as golden light reflected across the sea and illuminated the rugged coastline. ✨ Jersey may be small in size, but its beauty, character, and charm leave a lasting impression. 📍 Jersey, Channel Islands 🇯🇪 “Some islands are discovered on a map. Liverpool is one of those cities where music, history and character seem to follow you everywhere. 🎸🇬🇧 Of course, you can’t come here without experiencing its Beatles history. One of my favourite stops was The Beatles Story museum, where you can follow the band’s journey from their early days in Liverpool to becoming one of the most famous bands in the world. Even if you’re only a casual fan, seeing the memorabilia, recreated spaces and stories behind their rise makes it worth visiting. But Liverpool has much more to explore beyond The Beatles. Walking around the city, you’ll find impressive architecture, lively streets, museums and the waterfront around the Royal Albert Dock — an area that’s especially nice to wander around without much of a plan. There’s a strong personality to Liverpool that makes it feel different from other English cities, and its musical heritage is only one part of it. Come for The Beatles, stay for Liverpool. ❤️ 📍Liverpool, England 🇬🇧 #Liverpool #TheBeatles #TheBeatlesStory #VisitLiverpool #LiverpoolTravel #EnglandTravel #UKTravel #RoyalAlbertDock #BeatlesFans #CityBreak #TravelInspiration

Jersey⭐ is an underrated beautiful island ⭐Jersey is a British Overseas Territory, easily accessible with a UK visa Although it belongs to the UK, Jersey has its own currency, The cost of living is similar to the UK, and there are many flights between Jersey and London ⭐Trace the footsteps of history, stroll in the early morning sun, arrive at the port of Jersey, after checking into the hotel, you can stroll in the capital St. Helier, feel the charm of history. In Alice Square, appreciate the oldest buildings on the island. A seafood feast at noon with local wine, taste buds dancing in the song of the sea. In the afternoon, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the afternoon sun in Jersey. ⭐Gifts of nature, the northern coastline and outdoor hiking, enjoy the beautiful scenery along the northern coastline. Be stunned in front of the raging waves ⭐Accommodation suggestions: You can choose the capital St. Helier, the most central place is convenient to go to all directions. ⭐Transportation, the main mode of transportation here is the bus, routes 12A and 15 can take you to almost all the attractions you want to go to. Overall, Jersey is very suitable for everyone to relax on weekends, every resident we met here is very enthusiastic and friendly, when my friends and I couldn't find the restaurant we were going to, the passerby we asked for directions even drove us to our destination. There are many dog owners here, they like to walk their dogs by the sea on sunny days, my friends and I have more than once envied this leisurely and happy lifestyle, and truly experienced the relaxation of body and mind

I highly recommend visiting this picturesque destination . Jersey may be small but the island is beautiful. There is something for everyone, young or old . Jersey Zoo is just an outstanding reserve ! A must visit ! Pictures above👆 There are so many historical sights from bunkers from the occupation or castles that were the islands protection. There is a never ending supply of lovely sandy beaches and bays, caves to discover and all the water sports you can imagine ! 🌊🏄‍♂️ . The local people are very helpful and friendly and it is easy to get around the island by the local bus service. I would advise to visit in the summer months - June to October ☀️ #jersey #Jersey zoo #beachlife

Jersey was amazing wish I could go back

I thought my European adventure went off without a hitch until I woke up this morning. My flight back to the US is delayed by two hours, and my connecting flight to New Orleans was cancelled because of the tropical storm. The earliest I can get back is an additional 24 hours later. Stuck in Jersey for a day.

Amazing time here in Jersey

Beautiful underwater sea life with vibrant reef Manyas, reef sharks, turtles, dolphins, plenty of tropical fish, eels, eagle rays, and stunning coral. An incredible variety of diving experiences. Suvadivers Kooddoo has a fantastic team—we had Will Robinson from Jersey UK and a great boat crew. They provided personalized guidance, prioritizing our safety. Thanks to Marty for his help too. Our concierge, Samdeep Madira, stood out with his constant support via WhatsApp and his ever-cheerful demeanor. At the Alita restaurant, the amazing staff, including Shifa, Poppy, and Minha, worked hard to ensure everyone’s satisfaction. The reception team was always ready with answers for our excursions and inquiries.

Lovely time in Jersey despite the difficulties booking with Trip.com #familytravel

Two islands, two museums, one occupation memory—and they do not feel the same. In Jersey I took bus 8 from St Helier to Jersey War Tunnels (entry £14.50, card, audio guide included, 9:30–17:00). It's a real German underground hospital tunnel complex in the granite hills above St Lawrence, humid at 13°C year-round, with personal letters and resistance graffiti etched on the walls. Worth it for the claustrophobia alone. Then next day, Condor ferry to Guernsey (£40 return foot, no car needed), bus 41 to the German Occupation Museum at Les Houards (£6 entry, 10–16, cash preferred but card accepted). Smaller, dustier, more objects-than-narrative: barbed wire spools, a torpedo gyro, ration coupons. Jersey sells you the story; Guernsey shows you the drawer. I liked Guernsey more and couldn't say why—maybe because the Jersey site is polished to a theme-park edge. Transport tip: get the Freedom pass on each island (Jersey £9 day bus, Guernsey £5.50), don't rent cars for this. Mistake: I assumed one day each was enough; Jersey tunnels alone took 3 hours and I rushed Guernsey. Do Jersey tunnels 13:00–16:00 (light fades inside anyway), ferry 19:00, Guernsey museum morning. Question: in remembering occupation, is the immersive tunnel more honest than the object cabinet, or does the cabinet respect the visitor more?

You don't need to travel halfway around the world to have an amazing adventure. Here are three more destinations you can easily explore over a long weekend. 🇯🇪 Jersey – Around 1 Hour Closer to France than England, Jersey feels like a completely different world. During a weekend you can: 🏖️ Discover beautiful sandy beaches. 🚶 Walk dramatic coastal paths. 🦀 Enjoy incredibly fresh seafood. 🏰 Visit Mont Orgueil Castle. 🌅 Watch spectacular sunsets over St Ouen's Bay. It has a relaxed island atmosphere that's perfect for switching off. 🇬🇬 Guernsey – Around 1 Hour Guernsey is another Channel Island that's often overlooked. Spend a weekend: 🚲 Cycling quiet country lanes. 🌊 Exploring hidden coves. 🍰 Enjoying afternoon tea in picturesque villages. 🏰 Visiting Castle Cornet. 🚶 Walking along scenic cliff-top trails. It's peaceful, friendly and ideal if you're looking for a slower pace. 🇮🇪 Ireland – Around 1 Hour Sometimes the best weekend breaks are the closest to home. Whether you choose Dublin or venture further afield, Ireland offers fantastic food, lively pubs and breathtaking scenery. Don't miss: 🍺 Dublin's famous Temple Bar district. 📚 Trinity College and the Book of Kells. 🌊 The Cliffs of Moher. 🏰 Kilkenny Castle. 🎶 Live traditional Irish music in a local pub. Travel doesn't have to be complicated One of the biggest myths about travel is that every trip has to be a major holiday. Sometimes all you need is a carry-on bag, a passport and a free weekend. You might be surprised just how much you can experience in 48–72 hours. #travel2026#travel#staycation#thingstodo#myitinerary#citydaytours

#travelwithfootball There is a particular magic to walking into The English Pub (Austurstræti 12) wearing your national team jersey, cold wind off the bay tugging at your collar, and seeing fifty other fans already in theirs—Germans in white, Argentinians in sky blue and white, Brazilians in yellow, and Icelanders in that iconic navy-blue Víkingur strip doing the thunderclap. The English Pub is Reykjavík's de facto sports cathedral. Multiple HD screens including a main projector, English-language commentary toggle on request, heated patio facing Austurvöllur Square (Alþingi Parliament building on the opposite side), and a halftime "spin-the-wheel" that can win you a meter-long beer tray if luck is on your side. For World Cup group games arrive 60–90 minutes early; for knockouts, two hours. Happy Hour is 16:00–19:00—Gull lager and Kaldi IPA on discount. The American Bar across the street is owned by the same group and works as overflow if The English Pub is at capacity. Getting there: fly into Keflavík, take the Flybus to BSÍ terminal or direct to your hotel, then it's a flat walk through Bankastræti to Austurvöllur. If you're staying farther out (like in the Vesturbær neighborhood), Strætó bus lines 1/3/6 drop you at Lækjartorg—two minutes' walk. Stay at CenterHotel Plaza (directly on the square), Sand Hotel (one block over), or HI Loft Hostel (above the square, literally above a bar—you'll hear the goals). All are 20+ to drink; bring photo ID. Cards only—no cash accepted anywhere. My personal take: I landed in Reykjavík on a Tuesday, kicked off my boots, pulled my faded national shirt from the suitcase, and headed straight to The English Pub for an 18:00 group-stage kickoff. Got the last mezzanine sofa at 16:45, ordered fish and chips and a Kaldi, and settled in. When our striker opened the scoring, the entire mezzanine—locals I'd never met—turned and high-fived me like a long-lost cousin. An Icelander next to me bought a round of Brennivín shots "because you wore the colors." That's the thing: jerseys are a universal passport here. You're not an outsider if you show you care about the beautiful game. At full time we spilled out onto Austurvöllur, sat on the steps of the Parliament building drinking under the soft golden light of the Icelandic summer night, debating tactics with a guy who'd just cycled in from Akureyri. Why do I send everyone here? Because The English Pub isn't trying to be trendy—it's trying to be a place where football matters. The staff know which feed is which, the sound is crisp, the crowd is knowledgeable, and the patio lets you breathe. Wearing your jersey is the icebreaker that turns a pub visit into a cross-cultural football exchange. This is what #travelwithfootball means—watching the world's game in the world's most unexpected capital, shoulder to shoulder with people who love it as much as you do.

#travelwithfootball Skip the corporate chains. Slide into the cobbled Rue Saint-André des Arts in the Latin Quarter—right behind Place Saint-Michel—where old-school Irish pubs like Corcoran's and dimly lit bistros tune in for every kickoff. I ducked into a wood-paneled bar with creaky floors and a TV above the zinc counter. Around me: Sorbonne students, expats, and old-timers arguing offside rules in three languages over pints of Kronenbourg and plates of charcuterie. The Latin Quarter hum—jazz drifting from the street, the clink of glasses—mixes perfectly with the roar when a goal lands. On big nights, nearby places spill onto the terrace, turning the whole medieval lane into a mini fan zone. Metro Saint-Michel is a 2-min walk. Arrive 30 mins early for knockout rounds. No dress code, just bring your jersey and a thirst for atmosphere. Paris isn't just for philosophers—it's for fans who know where the beautiful game lives. 🇫🇷📺

The island of Jersey (UK territory)

Nice sunset 🌇 on the Jersey Beach

Jersey beach ⛱️ 😎 👌

London ➡️ Jersey on a VIP cruise lounge, then off to explore New Taipei City — talk about traveling in style 😏🛳️ First, the luxe factor: sailing from London to Jersey in the VIP lounge was pure chill. Picture this — you’re lounging with a complimentary bar, nibbling on sweets, watching stormy seas through panoramic windows. Super comfortable, quiet, and calming. If you get a chance, upgrade for that lounge – it turns rough crossings into a treat, especially when the weather outside is all cloudy and rainy 🌧️🍬😌 Now onto New Taipei City, where urban vibes meet natural escapes: Top Spots to Visit: 1. Jiufen Old Street (No. 35, Jishan St., Ruifang District, 9 AM–9 PM) – famous for its lantern-lit alleys, tea shops, and epic mountain views 2. Yehliu Geopark (No. 167-1, Kangton Rd., Wanli District, 8 AM–5 PM) – mind-blowing rock formations and sea cliffs (bring a rain jacket, showers are common!) 3. Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf (No. 199, Guanhai Rd., Tamsui District) – grab sunset snaps on the Lover’s Bridge 4. Pingxi District – release your own sky lantern for good luck 🏮 Quick Tips: Getting Around: Easy with Taipei Metro + local buses. Download trip.com’s metro map for hassle-free navigation. Snack Attack: Try taro balls in Jiufen, salt/fried squid at Tamsui markets. Weather Watch: New Taipei’s notorious for sudden showers — pop an umbrella in your bag! Money Stuff: Cards are fine in most places, but stash some NT$ for street food and small vendors. From the UK’s poshest cruise lounge to Taiwan’s rainy coast, this trip’s all about soaking in both luxury and local flavor 🌊✈️ #LuxuryTravel #NewTaipeiCity #RainyAdventure #TravelHacks #tripdotcom

We had the incredible 40 piece sushi board! Look for the Quidsin Jersey voucher to get a great offer at lunchtime. The sushi was absolutely lovely, and the service was fantastic. We went for lunch and two days later went back for dinner it was that good. I would definitely recommend going, I will certainly be going back when I'm next in Jersey. which considering how many restaurants there are in the island it is good! #sushi #kyoto_restobar
