[Kasai, Hyogo] A popular local pancake shop
■Hawaian Cafe Magic Pancake Kasai Main Branch
Kasai City Pancake Hawaii Cafe
Today, I visited Magic Pancake in Kasai City✨
Kasai City is an area rich in nature, known as the Harima area in Hyogo♪
Amidst all of this, there is a stylish, large-scale cafe♪
In addition to enjoying various types of pancakes,
this cafe also offers hamburgers and a variety of Hawaiian-style foods✨
As the name of the store suggests, the texture of the pancakes is particularly famous♪
Today,
I had fresh fruit pancakes and
Affogato premium pancakes♪
The texture of the pancakes is like steamed bread, chewy but very light♪
The affogato has a bitter, adult taste★
The interior of the store is filled with greenery, and just being in this space is soothing♪
I will visit again♪

[Ichijoji (Kasai City)] A temple trip where silence and history come alive, famous for its autumn leaves, and where you can clear your mind🍂✨
#AbsolutelyFreeTrip
[Ichijoji (Kasai City)] A temple trip where silence and history come alive, and where you can clear your mind at a famous autumn foliage spot 🍂✨
"Ichijoji" in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture, is a historic temple that is said to have been founded during the Hakuho period.
Also known as "Harima's Horyuji Temple," it is full of sights, such as the national treasure three-story pagoda and the important cultural property Buddha statue 🏯
When you actually visit, the sounds of birds echoing in the quiet grounds and the trees swaying in the wind are soothing, and you feel as if time has stopped 🍃
In autumn, the grounds are covered in autumn leaves, and the contrast with the three-story pagoda is spectacular!
It's a hidden spot where you can spend a relaxing time with few people.
🚗Access:
・About 15 minutes by car from Kasai IC on the Chugoku Expressway
・If using public transport, you can access it from JR Himeji Station via the Hojo Railway (transfer required)
🎯Tips:
・Especially recommended during autumn foliage season (mid- to late November)🍁
・There are areas where admission is free, making it perfect for an "absolutely free trip"◎
・The three-story pagoda is especially beautiful when the evening light shines in📸
You can share some quiet time with your partner, or immerse yourself in history and nature on your own.
Why not enjoy a temple trip to calm your mind at a hidden spot in Kasai?

New store in Shanghai, a Mediterranean restaurant in the century-old Jin Mansion
The neighborhood of Hedong's old residence is really getting better and better! On Mother's Day, I came across a newly opened Western restaurant, a century-old bungalow, with green leaves outside and a super good environment. Walking in, I felt like I was in Southern France.
Ordered a coconut king, sat down to rest, the breeze blew, the shadows of the trees, quite a sense of holiday atmosphere, next time with friends to come again for lunch.

Wangyin Wetland is an ecologically rich wetland reserve with beautiful environment and vast waters, providing an ideal habitat and attracting many migratory birds to come and inhabit and breed. You can observe various species of water birds here, from elegant egrets to cute wild ducks, which is a pleasant surprise.
Visitors can bring binoculars and observe quietly along the trail. These birds are playing on the water or foraging on the shore, showing the harmony and vitality of nature🍃. The ecosystem here is quite complete. In addition to water birds, there are many other animals and plants that together form the ecological network of this wetland.
Wangyin Wetland has complete facilities, including bird-watching platforms and trails, which are convenient for tourists to observe and take photos up close📸. Here, tourists can not only enjoy the fun of bird watching, but also feel the tranquility and beauty of nature, relaxing their body and mind.

[Hyogo, Kasai] A gelato shop inside a shrine 🍨💕
On the way back from seeing the sunflowers in Sayo, I also stopped by Kasai City~😚
By chance, I found a gelato shop nearby
It was a wonderful space that suddenly appeared in the grounds of Hachioji Shrine in Kasai City😆💓
I like watermelon bars, so I ordered this without hesitation
"Watermelon with chocolate chips"🍉🍫
It's just the right amount of sweet and has a refined taste
I thought maybe triple was too greedy, but
I ate it in no time❣️
I mean, I almost wanted a second one😆💕
Above all, the loose illustrations of the lion dogs
are irresistibly cute and photogenic🐕🧡
They have a lot of seasonal flavors
They also have takeout, so
It's a gelato shop I definitely want to go to again🥳🫶

[Hyogo] Retro station building of the Kiha 40 at "Hojo Railway Tahara Station"
It came from eastern Japan in February 2022 and has been running in Kasai City since March. The much talked about vehicle is the Kiha 40. This retro vehicle is the same as when it was used on the Gono Line between Aomori and Akita. It has a great impact.
Tahara Station is a wooden station that matches the rural scenery and looks great😆
Please go and check it out🎵

It's chewy and delicious, so I recommend eating it cold🌟
There doesn't seem to be a train, so it might be best to go by car or motorbike for a drive👍

[Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture] A one-car train?! A station with a retro feel
I don't have many opportunities to go to Kasai City in Hyogo Prefecture, so I decided to go out on a whim...
From Sannomiya Station, the central station of Kobe City, the prefectural capital of Hyogo Prefecture, you can transfer to Shinkaichi on the Hanshin or Hankyu lines and head to Awo Station on the Kobe Electric Railway to board the Hojo Railway bound for Kasai City (Hojo-cho).
The Hojo Railway is a single-car train, so it shakes quite a bit lol. The scenery is of the countryside, and you can experience a completely different worldview from Kobe City.
First, I stopped off at Hokkeguchi Station. There was a bakery there that was very popular, but it seems to have closed down now, which is a shame.
Leaving Hokkeguchi, I headed to Hojo-cho Station... This station has a lot of commercial facilities and chain stores, and is more prosperous than other stations.
To finish off the trip, we had some Hojo Railway Cider before heading home.

There are also tombs of shapes that I have never heard of before, such as keyhole-shaped tombs, scallop-shaped tombs, circular tombs, and horizontal-type stone chamber tombs. It is a place where you can feel the romance of history, which is recommended for sightseeing in Kasai.

[Kasai City] Tamagaoka Historical Park
The playground equipment in the lawn plaza is popular with children and is also recommended as a photo spot. Along the walking course in the park surrounded by nature and ancient tombs, there are ancient farms and Nagakura Pond, which was selected as one of the 100 best reservoirs in Japan. Kasai City is also focusing on balloons as "Kasai, the city where balloons fly," so if you're interested, check it out.

[Kasai City] Amibiki Hachiman Shrine and a Noh stage that retains its original appearance
According to the Yawata Shrine history timeline, it was enshrined in 1505, and the main shrine was built in 1605. The Noh stage and Amibiki Lion Dance are designated as city-designated folk cultural properties. The stage was built in 1685 and is a simple structure that, apart from the roof, has remained unchanged for about 300 years. Even now, the lion dance "Taniwatari" is performed once every three years during the autumn festival. This shrine continues to carry on the recreational activities enjoyed by the common people in the past.

[Kasai City] The power of being looked down upon by carnivorous plants
The Hyogo Prefectural Flower Center is home to a one-of-a-kind "Carnivorous Plant Room," where the pitcher plant has been recognized by the Guinness World Records and introduced to a certain unknown world. The greenhouse continues from the "orchid room," but the orchid room also has carnivorous plants growing there, making such an impact that I don't remember the orchids very well. If you visit the Flower Center, be sure to stop by the "Carnivorous Plant Room" in the large greenhouse.

Kasai City: Nemophila and Tulips
The Flower Center's nemophila may not be like a carpet, but it was enjoyable enough. It was just the season for tulips, so the scenery of tulips blooming amidst the nemophila blue is a unique sight to the Flower Center. The flowers start blooming from mid-April and can be enjoyed until mid-May, making it a recommended spot for outings during the Golden Week.
