If you want to come to Albania please do it!! The atmosphere is amazing and the people are so friendly, I went with my mum for her birthday for a couple of days, in this time I explored the beach l stayed at this hotel and the staff were beyond excellent and really friendly and welcoming, the shops are about 10-15 minutes from the hotel and the bus is located station is located next to the round about near this art art work. we took the bus to durres which again is stunning and the sea view is amazing, also if you have kids and they like KFC with a view then you will find this in durres, many food places, the steak house looked amazing which I will try next time I book. transport is very cheap on public transport if you don’t mind travelling by bus which was 100 leke so £1 English and we also went to Tirana which was 200 leke £2, but if you want taxis are available but are more expensive, if you like history there is lots of statues and a churches and castle like buildings overall amazing experience, already wanting to go back and explore more #travel2026 #beachlife

Tirana is a beautiful and historic capital of Albania, full of charm and cultural relevance. While English isn’t widely spoken, Google Translate is your best friend—especially with cab drivers—to avoid miscommunication. The city is affordable, easy to navigate with buses, and offers delicious food (don’t miss the baklava and tomato-egg dish!). Radio, in Tirana was the name of the bar we accidentally discovered but it was so lovely, we ended up going there twice. Durres Beach was peaceful and pretty, though Albania has better beach options if you’re looking to explore more. Our beach ‘golem long beach’, near Durres was quiet but isolated, and getting back in the evening was tricky—so plan transport in advance (especially check the last bus timings).
